A very expensive fan!!!

Not happy at all with this product, if it wasn't so expensive (to me, it may be cheap for others but then it works like a cheap product) I am trying to drain it and store it but really thinking about potting it at the curbside for some one to take. Very disappointed 😞

Unit stop working after 1 1/2 months. Couldn't take it back to Walmart.

It did not cool as promised. It barely sent cool air about 18 inches beyond the body. I was extremely disappointed after having researched and read that this product was rated in the top five of portable air conditioners. I attempted to cool off a living room 15 x 18 three separate times and had better luck with two oscillating fans.

[Rewarded Review] A Cool House Again

We ordered 2 of these and have been using them for 1 week now and we are very happy with our purchase.

Easy to install, no tools necessary. Quiet. Easy to remove and store in a closet.

Cools well, but no help on operation received

Although this item works well and isn't noisy running, it makes a buzzing sound that's very annoying. This sound comes after the a/c cools (which it does well), the fan blows out the remaining cool air and then the buzzing starts. I have no idea if this is the way it's supposed to work or not and contacting the seller was pointless and contacting Black %26 Decker was impossible. As well, the instructions are vague though I did get it installed properly, I had to purchase a roll of adhesive foam to really seal it properly. The foam that comes with it is ridiculous. The final thing that I've tried to get help with is the exhaust hose, which has a very open grid on the end going out of the window kit opening. Clearly, both insects/animals and rain can come into it. What is there to prevent this and is this how it's supposed to be. I will keep this but hope that either the seller or B%26D will be more responsive.

Works well for small space

This portable air conditioner was easy to put together and install the window fitting. It works well for a small space.

Adequate and Well Made

The Black and Decker 10K BTU, 6K BTU (SACC) Portable Air Conditioner is easy to set up and use. It does struggle though to cool a space when outside temperatures are in the high 30s. However that is not the fault of the unit. I have found that portable air conditioners are simply not as effective at cooling as a window AC is but that said, it is still worth purchasing as long as you are not in an open concept home and can minimize the area you need cooled, hence the value of the "portable" concept. The unit itself is of very good quality and the remote is a bonus.
