Works but with a caveat!

I have had one of these devices for YEARS. It has always served me well, again, for YEARS. It's important to understand I've had this for YEARS. Recently, I found the need for a second device. Nothing wrong with the original. So I ordered a new one for a lamp I've always used. Plugged the new one in and nothing. I covered the sensor to block entering light. Nothing. Figured it was defective! Had to fully understand what's clearly printed on the packaging: FOR INCANDESCENT BULBS only. Mine old one always worked flawlessly because it did not use an LED bulb. So I had to search for the type of lightbulb that would work. WHAT A CHORE!!! Stores don't carry incandescent bulbs anymore! So be very aware of this mandatory functionality.

Purchased three items

Two of the lights blew out immediately. I would like to know why that is, or just get my money back.

It's the best!

Working well, and it's the best for dusk to dawn indoor sensor wall plug. highly recommended.

I would certainly when neeed as they do the job.

Perfect. Exactly what I wanted. You cannot get them just anywhere. They are used in my pump houses during winter weather to keep the places a bit warmer and not risk freezing water pipes in them and etc. Thank you for ordering them for me.

Been going to take it in to return

It says it works with dimmers but it flickers constantly with my dimmable LED lightbulb unless I put my finger over the sensor to make it completely black. I even turned out the lights in the adjoining rooms leaving only the street and neighboring house lights (more than 30 feet away and not casting light on the outlet wall) for nearby light.

Keep looking

Requires incandescent bulb which surprised me, but doesn't work well plugged into a dark corner or behind furniture.

Great for what they are!

I love the way these little things work. I have had 3 or 4 of them over 10 years. They do exactly what i bought them for, turn on a rope lite that runs down my rock walkway after the sun goes down. The negative is that they seem to decide to quit working after a couple years. Then they are hard to find! I'm buying 2 this time!!

NOT for Led

This sensor works great for incandescent bulbs but NOT for LED. The description says, works on any light, numerous times, but only mentions no LEDs once down toward the bottom. A little bit misleading.

Very affordable, simple and practical product.

The sensor works perfectly. The prongs on the plug are a tiny bit wide for the receptacle openings, but by starting one in first and then the other- no problem at all. Very happy with the product.
