[Rewarded Review] Best in class, worth the investment
One of the most best aspects of the IQAir HealthPro Plus is its noticeable impact on indoor air quality. As someone who monitors air quality daily, I can attest to the noticeable improvement by this device. I monitor AQI for my allergies, mainly dust, pollen, or pollutants; this air purifier excels in its mission, consistently producing air that feels fresher, purer, and healthier.
Excellent filter
Best air filter that I own. A bit large but gets the job done. Owned several air filters in the past band this one is by far better than the others. Clears out odors in a room quickly. A bit heavy to lug around form one floor to the other. 35 lbs. really quiet at the lower settings where other filters a louder.
HealthPro stopped sickness
This is the 2nd unit we have purchased. The first we bought for our NewSouth office in Florida. It was a smaller office with just a dozen people, and they were all getting sick all the time. We had specialists come in to inspect our facility for air quality and possible mold. They found nothing. I asked the man who was the most knowledgeable of the people who did testing what I could do to help my employees. He said , "If you want the very best call IQ Air." We did.
A Very Good Investment
I am very happy with my medical grade air purifier. It is quiet though can be audible if turned up to a higher setting, which has not been necessary. By going for the "Plus" version I added protection for chemical gases just in case. I was already using a good quality ion generator-type device which I also like very much. However, here in Oregon's Willamette Valley, we are now having summer and fall smoke events from wildfires and these were probably my first concern when I wanted to upgrade. I have been recommending the Health Pro Plus to people here who have allergies, some are all-season because of our cedars and others are specific to spring or summer. We can also have inversions and periods of air stagnation. Shipping was impressively thoughtful, protective, with top quality packing and instructions easy. I do feel protected and especially once the calendar brings us back to agricultural and wildfire seasons. I learned about this product on our air quality monitoring website.
High performance in smokey conditions.
I bought the IQAir Health Pro Plus HEPA Air Purifier in the midst of one of the worst fire season we've had in B.C. Canada and am so thankful I did. I have asthma and aspergillosis. Before the fire season I was taking minimal asthma maintenance medication by puffer ... but had to increase it often to the maximum dosages during the smokiest times. Since having the air purifier I've been back to just the maintenance medication. One memorable day we had 'apocolyptic' like smoke conditions with daytime looking like night. We had our air purifier going in three open rooms of the house with the doors closed to the other rooms. We could tell the smoke was seeping in through closed windows because when we went into one of those closed-off rooms we could smell and 'feel' it while at the same time the rooms that we had the air purifier operating in felt and smelled fresh. I really like that I can easily move the air purifier to any room I'm working in due to the wheels and the variety of fan speeds. We live near a highway and I know we'll be making use of this air purifier in all seasons from now on.
Great air cleaner
Great filter, however a little bit expensive to run on fan speed 6 all the time. Supplies will get expensive to keep up the course prefilter, fine prefilter, V5 core and HEPA filters all in good shape. I highly recommend the PF40 Kit if you have pets as well it will capture all sorts of hair etc before it clogs the prefilter in the unit. Tested the unit with the Sensirion Particulate Matter Sensor SPS30. Placing the unit directly on top of the HEPA filter, and letting it run for a few days all readings were zero on the filter from PM1.0-PM10.0. The only minor issues we have with our two units are the wireless remotes, the IR receiver is on the top of the unit, which means you have to be well above the unit pointing down. I wish they would put better receiver or just switch to RF and leave the 80's with IR remotes in the past. I would gladly pay $10-20 more for that. The other thing is the display, it really needs to be backlit or at least back light when you push a button. The contrast isn't the best and seeing it in anything other than really bright light is tough when you at that more mature age! The biggest thing would be integration ability into home automation. With many of our systems being controlled through home assistant, having these on there would be great. Also integration of even SPS30 installed and sending stats both pre and post filters would be great as well. The unit does a great job, but modernization with tech would make it the best or the ability to control and see stats through an app or home automation.
High quality great value for much cleaner air
We had a whole house humidifier leak badly spraying water all over the utility room, but especially saturating the wall of an adjacent storage room. Since it was many weeks before we noticed it (the utility room has a drain) everything in the storage room was moldy and this put mold in our entire lower level as we cleaned things out. That’s when we ordered the IQAir Healthcare Plus. It completely cleaned the air in the 1650 sq ft lower lever and because our air cycles throughout the house, the 1650 sf main level as well. It ran on the lowest speed to do this and was barely audible. I recently brought it up stairs and am running it on high and the sound level is even and does not bother us. We did put in an excellent filter on our HVAC and replaced the humidifier with a steam model that will not leak! But we did have the same filter in our prior home (5 years ago) and we still have noted a noticeable difference in stair quality since running the IQAir. I have asthma and the IQAir has significantly reduced my symptoms. This is a quality unit and I strongly recommend purchasing it.
Great product, my sinuses are clear again!
I've been using the IQ for nearly a month and am very pleased with the purchase despite it being one of the most expensive air purifiers in terms of upfront costs. The user manual is written very clearly and with easy to understand instructions. It has the ability to be programmed on a daily basis. It does not have the capability of sensing change in air quality to auto control the speed--something other products had advertised but this was a feature that was not important for me. The remote control device is controlled via IFR, not a radio frequency, and thus is sometimes hard to use when you don't have the correct angle for the sensor. They recommend bouncing it off the ceiling to find the correct angle but I found this impossible. Rather, I held the control above my head and angled it toward the panel on top and this worked most of the time. The housing for the unit is very sturdy, wheels move easily to allow change in placement around the house. It has 6 levels of fan speed and the noise level is minimal at "3"--comparable to a floor fan on low. At "4" it does become a bit louder, more like a floor fan on fast. 5&6 are louder and would most likely interfere with tv sound or general conversation level. The 3 filters all have different "change out" dates based on the hours and speed at which the air purifier runs. This can be very deceiving when comparing which air purifier to purchase--read the fine print. The IQ has "change dates" based on the hours --assuming run time for only 10 hours per day on Speed 3. So...when looking at how often to change filters, make sure to read the fine print about their assumptions. SO..is the air purifier doing any good? Yes!! My sinuses are much clearer as evidenced by not using so much Kleenex each week. Also, the weird funky smell in our house has dissipated--it was noticeable if one left the house all day and then returned, Now, no smell! My other option was an Austin air but it didn't have as many functions.
My Health pro plus
My first impressions of my new IQAir health pro plus air purifier
Great air purifier however it needs a tech refresh
Summary: 4 stars - Great air purifier but it needs a tech refresh of the electronics
[Rewarded Review] Quiet air purifier for an apartment
Aesthetics: white tower with optional casters that attach via rails on the bottom of the unit. The controls are on the top face of the unit, with an easy to read screen. Looks like what you'd expect from a standalone A/C unit or such, no frills
[Rewarded Review] A beast of an air purifier!
I think just about everyone really needs an air purifier but not many people have them because of the confusion and/or price involved in obtaining one. While the HealthPro Plus is not cheap it's a unit that works extremely well and covers a very large area in regards to cleaning. As an owner of two cats and two small dogs we have been on the lookout for an air purifier for a while now and the HealthPro Plus seemed to fit the bill. Receiving the unit is a little intimidating at first as the box is huge but once you get it out of the box assembly consists of just a few minutes of snapping two slender plastic parts and then inserting the wheels until they snap into place. The manual doesn't really mention the part about the wheels, just saying to put them on and at first when I did that they kept coming off. I put the unit back upside down and pushed down on the wheels though and they did snap into place and never came off after that.
[Rewarded Review] Good Air Purifier, Better for Larger Rooms
The IQAir Health Pro Plus is a room air purifier. If you've ever seen a video where someone fills a sealed room containing a device with smoke then turns on the device and has the smoke disappear, that's what this does. Those are powerful demonstrations because the air purifier is not a closed system. It sucks air in and blows it out. Only when the air comes out, it has been cleaned. These are particularly useful for me because while we make an effort to regularly change the aircon/furnace air filter, it still isn't perfect and we regularly open windows to let in fresh air. With fresh air comes fresh allergens and due to coming in windows (or doors as we go in and out), it bypasses the normal filters.
[Rewarded Review] She said, "It's like breathing NEW AIR!"
My wife and I have a long history of buying and using various consumer air filtration systems because my wife has a tracheostomy, she's on oxygen 24/7, and on a ventilator at night. When this IQAir HealthPro Plus Air Purifier became available to Best Buy's Tech Insider Network, I quickly reserved one.
[Rewarded Review] A Real and Serious Air Purifier worth Six Stars
WOW! I have had air purifiers for my allergies of all types and sizes for over 5 decades. This air purifier, the IQAir – HealthPro Plus, claims to have received more top reviews and awards than any other air purifier. I believe this claim has great merit because I am in the height of my environmental allergy season, and even though my home has two other air purifiers and a central system attached to my HVAC unit, I have continued to sneeze throughout the days and nights until I installed this product three days ago. Now, the air is cleaner, lighter, purer, and after running the unit for a brief time, the air is completely void of any odors. Breathing without congestion is much easier in my home now because of the IQAir. I make this statement without a doubt.
[Rewarded Review] Outstanding fine particulate room air filter
This filter is premium and the price reflects that. The absolute main purpose is to reduce fine particulate matter in an area that is being inhabited, i.e. reduce the fine particles that are getting into your body. This will be most important for people with various ailments and conditions tied to the respiratory system. We can all benefit from less breathable small particles in the air, but its best to have a way to measure this. That's were an additional purchase of a PM2.5 meter with a reliable sensor comes in.
[Rewarded Review] Excellent air flow and purification
I've only had the the IQAir - HealthPro Plus Air Purifier for about a week, but so far it's working much better than any of the other air cleaners/purifiers I've had over the past few years. It's a very well built product, and for the most part, the design is well thought out. It's a bit larger than I expected, but then again it's packed with 3 filters and it can move quite a bit of air. It's still too early to know if the 3 different filters will last as long as they are supposed to, but if their lifespans aren't much shorter than what is projected, I think their replacement cost should be well worth it.
[Rewarded Review] A Professional Air Purifier
I currently have 3 Air Purifiers in my home (multiple manufactures), I've found that they reduce dust and improve air quality... which is obviously what they should do. But for larger rooms they must be on high to move enough air to really do a good job (move 2x volume of room/hour). And I don't like the background noise they create (some is to be expected), especially since they get louder the more they've run (until filter cleaned/replaced). the IQAir HealthPro Plus is a much larger Air Purifier than my others, it's maximum coverage area is 1125 sq feet, my others are in the couple of hundred of feet. My great room (Kitchen, Living Room & Family Room) is about 950 sq feet, so this seemed about perfect.
[Rewarded Review] Engineering brilliance, worth every penny
I'm no stranger to HEPA air purifiers, I've had many of them for more years than they were mainstream, with multiples in my house as the norm. Now, you'll see the market flooded with them, some are good, some are okay, some are junk, and then sometimes you find something really great. This one is really great!
[Rewarded Review] I think it's working?
As a kid, I never had any issues with allergies. Once I started getting older though, allergies very much became a thing. I'm not sure if it's just a placebo effect, but the IQAir filter does seem to help some.
