not the Brian of yesteryear

very poor quality, no mounting flanges or clips. Wiring junction fits poorly, need to add your own self drilling screws. Factory screws are very short and don't have a guiding point to start with ease. Electrical receptors are fragile and poorly secured. Grill is flimsy and held in with springs that at best terrible and difficult to keep attached. The bulb cover is just short of worthless and may kind of stay in if your fortunate. On the good side, 5he blower installs easily into the case.

Cover not great

It was not difficult to cut out a square in the ceiling. The wiring was easy. What is awful is the grill that covers the fan housing and holds the light. The two spring clips were very hard to use. It I had not seen the actual photo of how and where to use the spring clips-I was clueless.

Our new Broan exhaust fan is exactly as described. Can’t wait to get it installed. Very happy with my purchase. Ordering online from Home Depot was a great experience and my fan was delivered earlier than expected.

We put in a brighter bulb, the one included was way too dim. The fan is not very quiet at all, i was very surprised how loud it is, i was under the impression that it was supposed to be a less noisy fan than my 30 year old one. Also you can see all the "guts" inside this fan when you look up at it...the vents reveal everything and that is not very attractive. The actual exhaust function is ok. Wish i had purchased a different model.

Fan works well. Retrofit install was fairly easy. Installation does require a lot of slack in the power line. The grill sticks down more than I like, But the height is needed to house the light bulb. Perhaps the LED light has a shallower grill??

Chose these for efficiency, noise level, and lighting. Very efficient. Noise level isn't quite as quiet as a fridge running, but still perfectly acceptable. I also wanted to select the light's brightness based on bulb wattage and not have to use a dimmer. This fits that bill. LED ones displayed were too harsh and would have needed to be on a dimmer. Instead, we put the fans on a Lutron timer. Great choice!

We installed exhaust fans during the renovation of 2 baths in a 50 year old house. I really researched them and appreciated the reviews people wrote. I was also heavily influenced by the You Tube videos of Jeff Thorman of RenoVision. Since installation required venting to the outdoors, I had it done by professionals (and was glad I did). The fan is 1.3 sones and is still quiet. We have been using the fan for roughly 3 months and if we forget and turn it on after a shower the 110 CFM clears the moisture in 10 minutes or so. This model allows you to change out a light bulb of your choosing. Other reviews indicated that LEDs were very bright. They last a long time, but require finding a part to replace them. I would have preferred something more stylish, but this model fit my requirements and ended up being fairly unobtrusive on my 8 foot ceiling. I note it is currently unavailable on Home Depot's website. NuTone has a comparable version. We purchased this prior to the Covid-19 pandemic, so I cannot speak to how things are now, but at that time Home Depot's delivery time was amazing.

Mine ended up with ~4 hours of having blown attic insulation rain down on me, and a new reciprocating saw purchase (with extra-long "fire rescue"-sized metal cutting blades) once I finally had enough of the horror-show that was my builder-grade original fan.

Mine ended up with ~4 hours of having blown attic insulation rain down on me, and a new reciprocating saw purchase (with extra-long "fire rescue"-sized metal cutting blades) once I finally had enough of the horror-show that was my builder-grade original fan. This product was installed in less than 20 minutes after that. Couldn't have been easier. The slightly wider cover plate hides the wreckage caused during removal of the previous unit, too. It's quieter than the old one, and easily pulls more air. Light is brighter, and fits a normal-sized soft white LED bulb (which looks nice and saves energy).

Instructions where complete, this was installed replacing an old unit. It helped that the old one was smaller so no drywall patching. Unit wa 1.5 Sones so there was some motor noise but acceptable to the client.

I replaced an old Broan circular unit with this square one. The overall installation went well and i am pleased with the fan performance and quiet operation. My only complaint is with the light output. The original light had a heavy glass lens that dispersed the light evenly throughout. This new version has a small plastic lens that while translucent shows the bright and dark sections of the bulb. A minor complaint but one that gives an impression of lesser quality.

Easy to install but the instruction sheet was next to worthless. For actual instructions, go to the Broan website and watch the installation video. The noise rating for this fan is supposed to be one sone, which is equivalent to the sound of a quiet refrigerator in a quiet kitchen. This fan is NOT one sone. I have a 10 year old refrigerator in a quiet kitchen and I can hear this fan while standing in my kitchen over the sound of my running 10 year old refrigerator. It definitely moves a lot of air though and during a shower, the sound is drowned out by the water flow. Visually, it's not great. You can see all the wiring and internal hardware through the fins. If the engineer who designed the cover would've angled the fins more, you wouldn't be able to see the ugly internal workings so clearly. The attached pictures show what I'm talking about. Lastly, the light cover is very opaque so even a 150 watt LED bulb (actual 22 watt) is dimmer than the original 100 watt LED bulb that was in the older, brighter, quieter fan...

The fan is very quiet which is what I was looking for along with a nice bright light. There is a rattle like something fell into it which I will have to deal with. I don't think it is something that is wrong with the fan. I think it is an installer issue. I have had the fan a few months and have used it just a few times for extended periods of time. It has met all of my expectations. I plan to purchase a second one.

Well built. Installed fairly easily as a replacement unit in a plaster/sheet rock (1960) ceiling. Good instructions, even a retired mechanical engineer could follow them. Unit is loud enough to be heard, but not too loud. Springs on outer cover do not provide precise alignment, but OK.

This unit was purchased to replace an older nutone. The directions for installing this unit were not too clear. This unit has the exhaust on the end. My old unit had the exhaust on the top. The electrical connections were on the opposite side from my old unit. Thus, I had to also reroute electric supply. The new unit has GU24 CFL bulbs. This is a terrible choice. CFL bulbs contain mercury and are a hazard if broken. Broan should have designed the unit to accept GU24 led bulbs. The electrical connection for the fan is very bulky and can interfere with the snap up cover which also contains the light bulbs. The engineering on this unit is really third world!

Very good fan both with removing moist air and quiet. The only negative is in the instructions that make it sound like you can do a replacement from the interior of the room. You may have to go into the attic (as i did) to remove attachment supports from the old unit. In addition, it was easier to be able to work from both sides to install the new one and properly connect electrical and duct work.

Quick & Easy Install - Quiet and Powerful

This fan was easy to install thanks to its internal cage mounting holes, preventing the need to access from the top via my non-existent attic. My old fan was smaller so I did need to enlarge the hole, the instructions were clear on how to do so (I did verify before cutting the drywall, however).

I bought two of these Broan Series 11CFM bathroom exhaust fans for two of my bathrooms. The installations were simple and fast with no issues. However, I have one minor issue with the TrueSeal damper cover, it is easily open when there's a slight breeze without the fan on. Other then that, the noise level is a lot quieter and suction power is a lot better than my old bathroom fan - no more moisture and fogging room!!!
