The exhaust fan is easy to install with simple tools. Electrical hook-up is also easy and uncomplicated. The fan is quieter than our old fan and we're glad to have the LED light built in. It looks good too.

This Broan-NuTone Flex DC Series 50- 110 CFM Bathroom Exhaust Fan, ENERGY STAR*, in White is just what we needed to replace the old, noisy fan that was in our bathroom. This model great for remodeling or replacing.... and no attic access is needed. It has a switch to set it for 50 cfm, 80 cfm or 110 cfm depending on the size of your room. You can use this for new construction as well. The noise level is below 1 sone for any of the 3 settings Fan fits a 4" duct. Packaged well.

This is for the Flex DC Series 50- 110 CFM Bathroom Exhaust Fan. Everything was neatly package in the box. This versatile fan has 3 CFM settings (see picture) based on the size of your bathroom. The CFM is determined by the length x the width of your bathroom. For example a 6 by 8 bathroom would require setting this fan on 50 CFM. My installation is a retrofit and the instructions are pretty straight forward. The permanently lubricated, brushless DC motor is extremely quiet. The plastic blower door was designed to reduce cold and warm air backdrafts. For some reason, my unit was missing the Service Entrance Cable Connector. These are cheap and I had one on hand that I could use.

It's funny...the insides of the fan look just like a Panasonic we have installed in another bathroom. We were very satisfied with it and are likewise satisfied with this one. We had a pro install the unit so there was no mess in the ceiling. The only thing extra he had to do was adapt to our pathetic 3 inch vent pipes from the more normal 4 inch opening on the exhaust outlet on this fan. I tried recording the sound but it is so quiet I could not get anything discernable on my phone. Since we didn't install it I don't have progress photos, but I did take informative photos of the box; the contents; and the way it looked on the ceiling after installation.

This is a great bathroom exhaust fan. I remodel bathrooms professionally for a living. I am often asked by a customer to replace the exhaust fan. This is a model that I often use. It is great for remodeling as no attic access is needed. It has a switch to set it for 50 cfm, 80 cfm or 110 cfm depending on the size of your room. You can use this for new construction as well. The noise level is below 1 sone for any of the 3 settings. There are great detailed instructions with the fan which are easy to follow. I highly recommend this fan for your bathroom. The fan fits a 4" air duct but you can easily use a 3" or 6" adapter if needed for your application.

The Broan AE50-110 DC Exhaust Bath Fan offers an easy installation without attic access required. The fan features foldable mounting ears and a EzDuct connector for easy retrofit installation when mounting the fan from inside the bathroom. In new construction there are various tabs that are used to mount the fan for proper positioning inside the ceiling structure. The duct damper technology is new and provides a tighter seal, resulting in reduced warm and cold air backdrafts. This energy efficient fan operates at a selectable CFM range of 50-80-110 at quiet operation of 0.3-0.4-0.9 Sones. The rule of thumb is that you need at least 1 CFM per square foot of room area. Once the room size is determined select the proper air flow between 50, 80 or 110 CFM on the slide switch mounted on the fan. I found the installation instructions to be very easy to follow. I noticed some reduction in the noise level from my original bathroom fan along with reduced humidity levels in a much shorter time period.

This is a strong and quiet fan. It came with great instructions and was easy to install. It has ezduct connector which really made the installation easy. The grill is so nice and modern looking. It takes roomside installation. No need for attic access.I love that it is an energy star certified product. The fan has a selectable CFM range. I’m always happy with products from the broan company. Always high quality. Does a great job of lowering the humidity.

This Broan NuTone bathroom exhaust fan is a good venting fan for new installations or replacement for old fans that are not efficient and/or noisy. The Flex DC 50 series fan is both efficient and quiet. This energy star rated fan has the option of choosing among three different CFM speeds. The three are fifty, eighty, and one hundred ten CFM. Since not all bathrooms and habits are created equal, this flexibility allows for the the large bathroom or the half hour shower taker to choose the high speed. The small size bathroom or the quickie five minute shower taker to choose the fifty or eighty CFM speed. It is also quiet at .3,.4, or .9 sones.

Good upgrade, support USA jobs

Replaced old fan with this one, works good, efficient DC motor, supports USA jobs (box says made in USA with foreign and domestic parts). Instructions were clear and retrofit was straightforward. It's quiet but not so quiet we don't know if it's on or not which is nice and it can move 3x the air at 110FM. We also like this more simple one without the sensors and auto on functions because we like to decide when it is on or not, We're satisfied with it.

I got this ventilation fan (without light) to put in an old bathroom that didn't have any ventilation, and my new ceiling paint job was constantly being ruined by the moisture in it. I didn't have any existing cutouts or duct for the fan, so it was a bit more challenging than usual. I followed the instructions template and cut the hole after figuring out where it should go. I was worried it would be loose in the ceiling, especially with my 24" on center ceiling studs, but it is a nice tight fit. It looks like retrofitting would also be easy. My installation took a lot longer than usual since I had to run new electrical wiring and add the duct work for the hose, but this is certainly something you can do if you have basic electrical experience, like installing lights or ceiling fans. My favorite part of the fan is how powerful it is. I have a non-Broan fan and it hardly sucks up any moisture at all. This one instantly solved the problem of my ceiling moisture, and also stopped fogging up my bathroom mirror, which I wasn't expecting. It is pretty quiet, and once I installed the Broan low-profile vent cover that I received separately, it looks great!
