Besides aesthetics, Lutron is clearly far superior build quality and fit over common brands. Not that I'm criticizing the other brands (typical big-box) once you start using Lutron outlets and switches you forget the higher price and totally appreciate the difference.

In the process to update electrical outlets and light switches with Lutron products to establish timeless uniform appearance in addition to being easy care for cleanliness.

While probably more expensive than it should be for what it is, these are better than other outlets I've used or installed. These outlets have features that make it easier to dial in how the outlet sits so that it is level and sits flush with the receptacle cover.

[Rewarded Review] Stylish with a few things to know

Bought these because of the brand name and the tamper proof covers in the photo. These are quite stylish and give a modern look. However, if you are replacing just a couple of outlets, they will look much different than the rest. You also need special two layered decorative plates that might not fit in the normal box area (meaning you need to chip a little more wall around the box so they fit flush with the wall)

Receptacles with quality!

I got 17 of them a week ago to finally complete my project! I must say Lutron receptacles are the best on the market period! I paired them with Claro screw less plates and they look fantastic! Color match is 100% dead on!

Although the light switch does okay, it does interfere with other light switches that are the same in the same room. We have one product with mixed bulbs and we do get a high-pitched whine from that product, even though this switch is supposed to handle mixed bulbs. Lastly, I'm not a fan of the slight click it makes when you turn the switch on and off. We had silent switches before, which I prefer.

The lower opening for 3-prong plug is too close to edge of outlet and snap on screwless cover. Also cost about 4x as much as Leviton outlets.

Great design and great looking looking electrical outlet. The install instructions are easy to follow and clearly written. The photos in the instructions help as well. Makes install a snap and error free. The back of the electrical outlet is clearly marked and easy to install. Tamper resistant outlets makes is safe is you have small children in the house. These outlets are a must have when remodeling they will inching the looks of a room.

Good quality receptacle but is costly for most individuals that operate on a lower budget. The receptacle does come in multiple colors from the standard white, brown and gray to red. almond and about 10 others. It is easy to install and fits all decorate plates. Being tamper resistant it is good for use where young children play and live. Made by a reputable company so I would recommend this item.

It took about 15 minutes to install this receptacle in place of the original standard 3-prong contractor receptacle in my kitchen. It is a “decorator” style and comes in a variety of colors. This receptacle has a tamper resistant shutter mechanism to prevent someone from sticking something into the receptacle and causing electrical shock. I recommend this item.

Very well made tamper resistant outlet made by Luxtron. I replace one of my older outlets that did not have the tamper resistant feature that this has in my kitchen. It was easy to install as it as both the traditional brass and silver colored screws, but also had the push in lead feature which I used.
