First time I tried to plug in my iPad charger, it was loose in the receptacle. A couple of days later it worked fine. guess it needed to be used a bit before working OK. Prefer these tamper resistant receptacles. Don't have them throughout the house but will install for new or replacements. Better for little kids & numb adults.

This duplex receptacle is a great replacement for the old ones. It is easy to install, looks up to date and is the new flat version so that you can use the new covers. Once the electricity is turned off the switch only takes a few minutes to install. It does the job. However, just check for the amount of amps you need which is important when it comes to your electrical box.

The new "Lutron" tamper resistant duplex receptacle arrived a short while ago here in South Carolina having been sent from the Pennsylvania manufacturer. The design of this receptacle does prevent harm by not allowing anything to be "stuck" into it. The "Lutron" company's other dimmers / switches and fan controls do coordinate with this tamper-resistant switch. I prefer the white color for my home although the product does come in other colors. The installation of the switch was easy & accomplished in about 15 to 20 minutes. It's very nice looking and does work well. Thank you to the manufacturer for this great product that's helping to keep my home safe!

We had a receptacle basically melt due to a space heater issue. The receptacle was toast but required only a simple replacement, which this unit provided perfectly. I appreciated how this Claro unit had silver screws on one side which made identifying the correct wire easy. The tamper resistant feature works well and installation only took a few minutes. Nice unit!
