Works as expected; not sure about "industrial"

Installed a receptacle for a vehicle charger. Knowing this might take ten days to arrive, I started with a spec grade receptacle on the shelf at our local store. This one arrived and I swapped it out. Hard to tell the difference, but this "Industrial Grade" one adds copper around the mounting screws, plus allows clamping-in the two hot conductors instead of hooking around the screws. I HOPE the metal inside is thicker. I correctly overrated the circuit so no detectable heat or arcing.

For The Cost, This Is Fine. But, There Are Better Choices

This NEMA 6-20R is fully functional, yet could use some improvements. However, for the cost, it is adequate. The terminal screws are not only soft, they rise barely enough to get a #12 solid conductor underneath. The screw heads do strip easily, so use a #2 square screwdriver for best results. -- I would have paid more for clamp-back and even more for Specification Grade, but this was the only choice at time of order. --The device prongs have reasonable pull-out, but just barely. Straight cord caps do get pulled partly out by the weight of even a 14/3 SJ cord. I suggest angle caps instead. --Summary: I'd call this "household light use" grade, but for the cost it'll work fine.

I'd Prefer Clamp Back, But For This Price It's Fine

As a master electrician, I'd prefer clamp back devices, but Supply House didn't have them. The wiring screws on this are very, very soft, so torque gently and use a slotted or square tip. But this purchase saved me from a trip to the supplier for one forgotten item. I also am not a Leviton fan, but again, this was a convenient purchase. The price is comparable to local stores. Actually, the device functions fine, so all is good.

Lowe Power EV Charging

I bought a second electic vehicle and I want to be able to charge both cars at once without taxing my electrical panel. I have a 50 amp circuit one one side, but this 20 amp 240 circut is plenty for every day use without breaking the bank. This prevents us from having to change parking spots. The receptacle seems to be higher quality and has convenient connectors.
