First portable AC was a success

I can’t speak to other units but this was my first experience using any kind of portable AC. Set up was extremely easy and it got to work immediately! I’m sort of insane and like to keep my bedroom at around 64 degrees when I sleep and it does it perfectly!

I don’t usually write a product review, but this product actually works great as advertised.

This AC unit works really well. It is a bit noisy though.

Powerful but little bit loud

Easy to set up and definitely getting the job done, able to cool my whole room in just under 15-30 minutes depending on temperatures. It is easy to drain and woukd definitely purchase ba second one for the living room too cool the complete home.

Very nice unit with clear instructions for opening the package and for setting up/installing the unit.

Breaks after a year

Paid $660 in May of 2023. Ran great until last week…runs but no cold air. Error code EL and OC…a compressor issue. Customer service is awful. I finally reread the warranty instructions at I saw that when approved the whole A/C…all 60lbs of it must be shipped to their repair facility in California…at the buyers expense. I would be careful purchasing the Whynter brand. It’s good initially, but won’t last…it’s also made in China. Buyer beware.

I love the Whynter dual hose portable airconditioners. I have 3 of the same model. They are quiet and cools the rooms pretty quick. The only problem is draining from the lower vent which is way too low and combersum to get the water out but that is not a big issue. I place the A/Cs on a stool for easier draining. Definitely I recommend this ac. Side note: one got damaged while shipping, so just beware..

The vent hose doesn’t allow for turning away from the window.

Very Quiet

I've used this AC model for 2.5 years now and I'm still amazed at how quiet it is. We are currently experiencing a heat wave with temperatures above 35c + humidity and even running in high, the majority of the noise is just air/fan noise - you can hardly hear the compressor run.

I love this air conditioner It is of amazing quality and cools my bedroom in perfect style!!

Haven't used them yet. Unboxed, made sure they worked, stored for next spring. Will follow up with a review after I have used them for a while.

Cheap plastic connectors

The directions were vague. I had a very hard time with the plastic adapter for a vertical window. Long story short one of the Plastic connectors broke when I tried to disconnect the adapter from the hole

Works wonderful!! Just what I needed

Perfect for the bedroom space in which it’s placed. Only negative would be the hose length not being long enough.

Only drawback is the big exhaust hose and subsequent large window footprint. On the plus side, unit is powerful and has a great sleep function.

4th portable AC that I've owned and by far the best.

Great AC, but had to return

I bought this for my daughter, but she found it a bit too big for her space and didn't want it. I put it in my room ( I don't think it's that big) and tried it once to try an bring her around, but to no avail.

Does the job, easy to use

Does the job, noise level is acceptable, and super easy to wheel around--good quality casters. I sometimes use it in a room larger than its capacity and it still takes the edge off a super hot day.
