Great Range Hood
As part of our kitchen renovation, we purchased the Zephyr Vortex insert range hood. I really like the multiple fan speeds and light settings. It is a remarkable improvement over our old (ancient really) range hood.
Poor location of controls
The location of the controls are nearly inaccessible and dangerous as you must reach over the range to them at the back of the vent. Poor design - controls should be at the front for easy reach.
sliding turn on buttons are hard to reach
I am 5'2" tall and the turn on sliders for the fan and vent light are toward the rear of the hood. This makes no sense why not place them where everyone can reach them easily without reaching over hot pots on the range?

Great insert, affordable price. Hard to find both quality and reasonable priced item that had ability to recirculate.
