Be aware of where you live and what your building codes are . . . needed to add some 'fresh air' piping for my cooktop . . . supposedly this overhead fan was not sufficient. It's a great fan / exactly what I was looking for. Just wish the cooktop manufacturer would have put some 'warnings' out there before I bought that.

Pretty good value

Overall I've been fairly happy with this hood for the price. I had this installed on my new custom home about 3.5 years ago. A few weeks ago I had to replace the LED light transformer (40$). Reliability is still questionable considering I'm already replacing parts and we use the hood maybe once a week tops. The part was plug and play and at least easy to replace.

Works good, until it doesn't

When first installed, I was very happy with my pursuance, but after six months of use the two installed LED bulbs failed. It is unusual for LED bulbs to fail and even more unusual for two bulbs to fail simultaneously

Gorgeous addition to our kitchen

The hood fits perfectly into the theme of our 100 year old farm house. The option to add the stainless steel moulding was the perfect touch. We only have 7' ceilings so had to purchase the short ceiling kit in addition to the hood. We went with the recirculating option and while it does a good job we mY end up doing a direct vent as we can still set off the smoke detector! It's not a quiet fan by any means but it is great quality for a very reasonable price.

Great Range Hood

We initially purchased and installed a wood range hood from our cabinet manufacturer but it was extremely loud, the lighting was poor and the control buttons were on the inside of the hood and not easily accessed. We returned that hood and purchased this Zline hood. Installation was much easier and it looks great. The lights illuminate the cooktop evenly and are a nice color. The charcoal filter removes cooking odors well and the buttons are easily accessed on the front on the hood. The fan on this hood is much quieter than the first one. Overall we are extremely happy with this purchase and would not hesitate to purchase Zline products in the future.

Range Hood and Range looks amazing.

First time ordering through this company, really couldn't find any reviews online so I was a little worried at first. But my range hood and range I ordered they look amazing in my kitchen! Just received the items 2 days later after stated. However, I'd buy again from them and would recommend.

Beautiful piece of equipment

This hood is absolulely beautiful. It works well and looks good.Plenty of lite, power and my kitchen installer contractor,who had never heard of Zline is now a big fan and is looking for one for his new kitchen. thanks for such a grea and functionaly designed exhaust hood.

Easy Install, works Great!

I installed the Zline 30 as back discharge, free hanging unit. The hardest part was getting the chimney ready. I used a flexible, aluminum duct to connect to the chimney pipe. Oh, holding the vent hood on the wall while screwing it to the wall by myself wasn't much fun. Probably should have hired some help.

Lovely and so well made!

After hunting high and low for a beautiful range hood for my new kitchen I came across this one and was really pleased to see the price. It was just what I was looking for AND it included the fan system. I received it quickly after ordering and couldnt wait to open the box and take a look. I was thrilled to see it is just as lovely as it looks online. I dont have it up yet as my kitchen hasnt been started yet. I will take a picture and post here as soon as the kitchen is complete. Do not hesitate to purchase this. Its awesome.

Recirculating kit and under cabinet range hood.

I felt recirculating kit did not have adequate re-enforcement to support the hood. Three screws to attach it to the ceiling is not enough to support the weight of the hood. I added three more and the front still bows where the filter is installed. A heavier piece of metal where the screws go may help.

Makes nice addition to our kitchen.

Spoke with a very helpful person at Farmhouse kitchen before I bought the item. Was so patient when my contractor had questions. was told that the item might b received in a week and was pleasently surprised when it arrived within 2 days. The hood looks great and makes a nice addition to my new itchen. I highly recomment this company and product.

Excellent Exhaust

The product came through well packed. The pictures of the filters are not the same as the actual filter, but they work fine. My exhaust (the same size as vent from fan) is straight up through the roof about 10 ft. I thought this would make the fan quieter, but it is still noisy even on the quiet setting. The "buzzer" that is sounded after each change is loud and annoying. Wish it could be turned off. The shutoff timer is great and its nice to be able to set it for as long as 60 minutes. Installation is also easy.

Well Built, Super Quiet, Easy to Clean & Install

I bought this range hood over a year ago. The first one that was shipped had an issue with the fan rubbing the housing. ZLine sent me a replacement within a week and I have not had any issue with it since. It is a well built and very quiet hood. Even with the fan on the highest setting, two people can stand in front of the hood and have a conversation with having to talk over the fan. When the fan is on low, which move something like 400 CFM you can barely hear it.
