Works great but made with a cheap grade of plastic

The item works well as far a nicely grinding up the cheese. However the grade of plastic it is constructed out of I feel there is no doubt it will break when used often. I feel it is not durable enough. Time will tell.

Perfect! Lightweight, easy to use, grates hard cheeses like Parmesan and Romano just like in an Italian restaurant - at my great grandmother's table when I was a kid.

Doesn't function properly

Not sure if I like it. Used it once for cheddar cheese and the cheese clogged the inside and wouldn't fall out. I had to use a knife and dig the grated cheese out.

Had high hopes

Our old Zyliss grater broke and we needed a replacement. Purchased this from Sur La Table. It isn’t good. To start with you shouldn’t have to hold the cheese from falling out with your hand. Second the feel is very cheap. Now looking for another replacement.

This replaced an old zyliss grater that finally broke. This one can be used right or left handed and the grater is sharp!

Worked great the one and only time I used it. I can’t get the drum disassembled to clean it properly. It came with no instructions, so I guess I will have to throw it out.

Compact, simple grater that does the job.

Grates cheese smoothly and easily and is relatively compact for storage. No instructions on how to remove handle, but simply hold orange grater cylinder steady while turning handle in opposite direction. After grating, a bit hard to hold the orange cylinder still while doing so due to cheese oils. Otherwise for the price a very good grater for using at the table.
