Reviews
This Cuisinart pan shines and comes out of dishwasher beautiful. It is lightweight, since small in size yet, nice to warm up leftovers, cooking hot dogs on the stovetop, a meal's side dish of veggies, and warming milk or coffee. I love this little saucepan, and the quality is so good that it comes with a lifetime warranty.
this saucepan is the perfect size for my small family. I use it for making soup, sauces, boiled potatoes for mashing, boiling eggs, spaghetti and macaroni. The lip and built in strainer in the lid makes it easy to drain too. I just love it.
Just fine.
Just fine. As expected for the price range. Size is good. Handle is ok, little awkward to hold when full. Handle gets a bit hot. Lid handle gets very hot. Totally works for a can of soup or other small cooking jobs.
This pan everything I expected and more! It’s nice and heavy and made of steel, the pouring lip is the right size, it has 2 draining parts when cooking pasta, and it has measuring marks in both American and metric units so I don’t need a measuring cup to see how much is in the pan. Love it and thank you, Cuisinart!
Timeless. Easy clean up.
I’ve had this for about a month now, and it’s a great addition to collection. Super easy to clean, which is a BIG benefit for me. Looks timeless. And cooks evenly. Will be purchasing more.
Worth every penny
I bought the 1qt version of this pot years ago and I love it. I needed a 2qt so there was no hesitation when deciding to buy this pot. It’s well made, sturdy, cleans up easy. There aren’t any crevasses that food/grease to get caught in.
Great cookware, would recommend!
This is a great pan! It cooks things evenly. Purchased this pan because of Cuisinart’s reputation for quality and my experience great with other of their products. The cover fits snuggly. It is great for cooking vegetables. I use it almost every day to boil eggs. I would recommend this pan to family members, and I would purchase this pan again.
Great pan
I was warned after I bought the pan by my sister about Stainless steel pans that they were quirky. With that in mind the first time I used it to make some soup. I quickly realized that the pan heats up liquids much quicker than the non stick one I had which I liked and required a lower flame which I liked and food gets cooked faster overall. Love it.
Not stainless steel, just "stainless"
I want this pot badly. I need a 1.5 qt and they seem to be hard to find. BUT, it is not stainless steel, just "stainless" which is misleading to some extent. But my biggest issue is that the clad coating in the bottom of the pan began to flake off after only two pots of whole grain rice. Nothing major, just rice, but the bottom of the pan showed some dark specs after I had washed it two or three times. I checked it out with my handy jewelers magnifier and could plainly see that the silver surface had flaked off in several places. Small spots but still, did I eat metal? And I'm worried that more spots may appear. The description does not mention the fact that this pan is for Induction type stoves. Nothing wrong with that, but I was under the impression that it was stainless steel, but it's not.
Great Little Pan!
Love this saucepan. I'm sick and tired of dealing with having to replace the non-stick pans every year. I consider Cuisinart stainless steel so much better for me and my family. Sure they are not non-stick but they are really not hard to clean and will last a really long time.
Cuisinart Is Awesome!
Worth every penny! I love Cuisinart because it’s affordable, quality, warranty, and stands up to daily use. I use 2 Cuisinart pans on an almost daily basis and 1 big kettle often. Hand wash, no dishwasher. They’re great!!
Great cookware!
Bought the whole set and am very pleased. Not too heavy, not too light. Goes through the dishwasher and looks like new. Very happy with my purchase, which was a fair price for such a good cookware set. Highly recommend.
Probably will hold up to a lifetime of abuse
Great saucepan, bought it to make caramel. Wish the economics of manufacturing these days would allow Cuisinart to make this item domestically. A wire whisk will lightly scratch it up. Not sure if that is just a cosmetic issue or not. The included directions do caution to not use metal utensils if you want to preserve to mirror finish inside this saucepan. Note: I bought this item specifically because I wanted an alternative to my non-stick saucepan for use with certain recipes (like caramel).
Great but way too long of a handle!
So I've been using this cuisinart 2qt pot for a couple of years and it's still beautiful %26 cooks great but I think they need to redesign the handle on it. It's way too long and feels like I could lose my grip on it easily. Not to mention that it knocks stuff over on my counter %26 when using other pots on multiple burners you have to turn it just right so the pit next to it %26 behind it stays on the burners. Hopefully they can go back to the drawing board on the handle %26 make on more ergonomical .
Good Quality Steal Pot
I like the fact that it's a string quality stainless steel pot. However, its difficult buying online because you can never hold it or get a feel for it until it arrives. The only con is that the handle gets hot, along with the lid when you're cooking and its a little heavy for me since I have arthritis in my hands.
Heats up evenly
I bought this Cuisinart to replace a 30 year old sauce pan. This pan works wonderfully. It heats evenly and works great on medium heat (instructions indicate do not use high heat). I made some almond bark cookies and used this pan. The peanut butter and bark melted perfectly.
Good but needs a design change.
The pan itself is great. Heats up well, lid fits nice, handle is comfortable. The thing that doesn't work that well for me as a right handed person is the pour spout. When I'm pouring a thicker food from the pan, I use a spoon or spatula to scoop the food into a dish like mashed potatoes or rice. Well, I use my right hand to control the spoon or spatula and my left hand to hold the pan. The pour spout is on the opposite side of the pan. You would have to hold the pan with your right hand and scoop with your left hand. That's just too awkward for me. For someone left handed this pan might work better. Otherwise the pan is great. I think Cuisinart needs to review their design and put a pour spout on both sides of the pan.
Very attractive, good quality sauce pan! And just the right size. Hard to find this size. Came reasonably fast. I ordered one a whike back. That one was just as nice but took little longer to arrive. Worth the money. Tip: Buy a can of Bar Keepers Friend powder for washing. It keeps the bottom inside shiny and like new!
Had to replace an old pan and wanted the 2 qt size as I tend to use it often. Never had a Cuisinart but reviews were good and price was in my budget. Honestly looked into a pot made in the USA but they all seemed to be more for the professional chefs, not just for the average cook like me, and unfortunately prices were just too much for me to spend. I am still using some cookware from my 1979 wedding but from what I researched sadly quality isn’t there anymore. This pan looks great, sturdy and seems to be well made. Like the riveted handle and have no problem with the way the lid fits. Have yet to use it so can’t comment. Hope it keeps its beautiful shine inside and outside
Although we liked the stainless steel pot, we did not like the metal lid. It was thin and sat loosely on top of the pot. We felt given the loose fit, we would not be able to use it for making rice or steaming vegetables. We were going to return them, but the return fee was nearly half the cost of the pots, so we decided to give them as a gift. Probably a more heavier tempered glass lid would have been a better choice.
