Great vent! Hard size to find. Installed easily and looks great!!

This gable vent looks great, very nice update from wood with rot. Painted two coats prior to professional installation. I expect it to be maintenance free for a long time. It does not come with a screen of any type. Shipping faster than expected. Thanks Home Depot!

The vent that showed up was nothing like the one...

The vent that showed up was nothing like the one portrayed in the picture. It had 4 tiny slats instead of 9.

Very rough

I recieved mine yesterday after 3 weeks of ordering it just to find it cracked on one side due to improper packing but I managed to glue it back together. My next grip is there is no insect screen on this and the luvers are as rough as ever requiring much sanding before paint. I was expecting much more quality for the money . I will be placing this over vinyl siding and will take a router and make a 3/4" rabbit resess around the back edge to go over the siding . But unless your a very handy carpenter I don't suggest this product for you it requires a lot of work for a finished install.

Nice looking from the front. Looks just like a louvered air vent should look. On the back, however, there are only 8 or 9 1/4 inch slots to provide air flow. Gives about 36 square inches of vent surface in a vent with over 540 square inches of louvered surface area. Might as well be none functional.

Worked as advertised

This was my first time replacing one and it worked fine. Only negative is the slats for airflow are small.
