Item was dented when Opened.. Best Buy backed it 100% and sent out a replacement

LG 30'' Wall Mount Chimney, Model HCED3015S delivered damaged

I purchased LG 30'' Wall Mount Chimney. I could not check the appliance within two days. The contractor opened the box when he was ready to install. The hood appears to have some damage as you can in the picture. I have tried to contact repair by phone and LG.com. Phone puts into a never ending loop and I have wasted many hours with same result on LG.com as live agent is never available. This is gross as LG does not appear to have any regard for their customers. It is disgusting.

Useless Installation Instructions and Cust Svc!

We finally installed this over the weekend. This is not a low level DIY project and not a high level either .. just mid-level DIY project. I was prepped and ready to go. The issue is the electrical connection in nothing like page 13 of the Installation Manual indicates ... it is SIGNIFICANTLY different. I called LG Helpdesk and they are more useless than anything. In their scripted responses to me from "offshore" they kept referring to the owners manual to which I had to tell them how to Google the Instruction manual. Nonetheless there was NO help. I did request a call from LG Tech Services for Monday when they are open. God forbid they actual work when people are doing DIY Projects (Saturdays - and maybe Sundays) ... No call from LG as of today 7/3. Good news is I figured out the install and the unit is in. Usually a fan of LG, but in this case it was a 1 star experience for sure. Will probably impact my future LG appliance purchasing behavior ... Cheers all.

Worst experience with any kind of appliance and install. Installers have never installed this unit before and didn’t know how to convert it to recirculate. The install instructions say to convert to recirculating you must secure wall diverter plate but doesn’t mention what a wall diverter plate actually is. It also says to purchase charcoal filters but fails to give a part number for you to purchase. I have scoured the internet to find answers and there is nothing other than other reviews saying the same thing as me. This is absolutely useless to me. It is half installed on my wall bc the installers didn’t know what to do! So I have an ugly shrink wrapped hunk of metal above my stove. Do not purchase if you need your hood to recirculate. This is clearly not meant for that! Unacceptable. No one at Best Buy knows what to do either. I don’t want an automated response to this review either that says to contact you. You have my information so you contact me and make this right!

What an absolute nightmare my kitchen remodel has been since I purchased this range hood. I will NEVER buy an appliance from a big box store again. I ordered this specific hood so it would match my oven but it arrived damaged and Home Depot and LG refuse to do anything about it. The 48 hour policy is an inconvenience to the customer and a complete joke when the appliance is unable to be installed in such a short time frame. I called Home Depot and they said it’s LG’s problem and to call them. I called LG and the lady sets up an appointment for someone to come look at it but I never get a phone call back. I call again and was told that the damage isn’t covered under the warranty and that Home Depot needs to send them a work authorization confirmation of the damage. I go to Home Depot and waste an hour having them call LG and get an appointment arranged for a technician to come look at it. A few days later the technician takes notes/documents the damage and gets a case number and tells me to call LG and they will work with me on getting the issue resolved. I call LG with the information and was told AGAIN that it is Home Depot’s problem and they refused to help me. Meanwhile the range hood is still in the box with the protective covering on it. The chimney is leaning and the frame is squished and missing rivets. Neither Home Depot nor LG stand by the products they sell. Instead of making it right and just exchanging the item out they would rather lose a customer for life. Avoid buying appliances from Home Depot and LG at all costs unless you want to waste your time and money!! If they won’t stand by their products when they haven’t even been installed… imagine how terrible the service would be with a used appliance.

[Rewarded Review] Good! Does the job while looking nice but…

Over a year in and still love it! It is somewhat loud especially once you get past level 3 on exhaust. The touch buttons work well but if your hands are wet or if like me you run cool it can be difficult to press. Overall aesthetic and function are great!

Color mis represented

Draft hood appeared to be great quality. Although the blacl stainless was not black just a darker shade of stainless. It didnt even match the other lg black stainless in my home.

[Rewarded Review] Good, but not convertible

Hood looks nice and works well, but is listed as a "convertible" hood when LG responded to an email saying that the model is NOT convertible. Other competitor websites state this model is also NOT convertible. So either Best Buy is blatantly lying about the product and features or LG and other competitors are... It's also strange the install instructions state you can install charcoal filters for recirculating, but LG does not sell any for this model.

I have been trying to purchase an LG3015D range hood, I have a 10' ceiling and have been chatting, calling, whatever to try to get an answer. just sent from dept to dept. Don't buy LG.

Range hood matches up perfectly with our LG range and works great. Its maximum length is 48 inches so keep that in mind when you consider it. For our kitchen it was a perfect fit.

Installation instruction could have been clearer on the packaging, however, there were enough detail to understand what needed to be done. The finish will scratch easy so it's essential to keep the protection on until installed except for edges that will be up against adjoining components. It next to impossible to remove after. Units looks great and works great after install.
