Don’t wait past 48 hours to open!

When we opened the product and peaked the pealed the protective film off it was cracked. We purchased over 6K worth of appliances for our new home from Lowes and because we did not open them in 48 hours they would not replace the damaged cooktop. When we called Lowes they sent us to the distribution center, the distribution center sent us to the manufacturer and then the manufacturer sent us back to Lowes who then said we had to report it in 48 hours from purchase. We are so disappointed after spending so much money there beyond appliances. Lumber, plumbing, light fixtures, landscaping, paint, tools etc.. This will be our last purchase from Lowe’s.

Worst Cooktop Ever

I really want4d to get rid of the knobs on my countertop. I thought this would be perfect. Wrong! Even when locked out this cooktop can come one. It also capped easier than it should have- in the 30 plus years of cooktops I have never ever had one chip but this one did and it also cracked. Definitely defective. Less than a year in I replaced it with a much better model and hauled this one to the dump.

Clean Design/Easy to Clean/Minor learning curve

The stovetop is a clean modern design. With no raised knobs, it makes cleaning it a lot easier. The burners heat up very quickly and cook evenly. If there is a "negative", it's that the simple process of turning on a burner requires a few steps (instead of a raised know where you just turn it on with one twist). This is not a big deal - it's for safety - and we've just gotten used to the process.

Inherent Design Flow

Do not purchase this unit as it has a serious inherent design flaw.

[Rewarded Review] LG radiant cooktop is the way to go.

This was to replace our Samsung induction cooktop that only lasted eight months. Nothing but a headache we were without a cooktop for about almost 2 months. The geek squad service was awesome but getting parts from Samsung is a pain . but the geek squad was able to refund us our money and we bought the LG so much nicer the radiant cooktop is fast it works and is dependable

[Rewarded Review] It's toast after only 2 years

Same issue describeb by another. Touchscreen stops working. lights flash. Service assistance called- his comment, "It's toast." I've had it two years. Now it's just a shiny useless cooktop and I'm using an infrared cooker until I figure out what to do. The LG website is useless and very time-consuming.

Nice but…

This stove provides the clutterless look we wanted for our small space. It does everything a stove is supposed to do. Installation was easy. The ding I have is the “ touch” start and adjustment is somewhat lacking. Sometimes the surface takes awhile to sense your touch and turning on an element is a three step process. Like any computer extra steps can be a little frustrating.

We are extremely delighted with the looks, operation and everything about our new cooktop. There was many visits looking , thinking and planning in our decision. My wife wanted, and got, the cooktop that she wanted. Number of burners, burn location, control location, etc. The only, the only hickup was that the size should have fit right in, but apparantly no one accounts for the extra dimension of the screws that hold the cooktop in one piece. But after making the mess of a lifetime, we have a very nice cooking appliance...

[Rewarded Review] Must buy

The glass top comes with a deaign pattern in the glass. Looks almost like snowflakes. Very easy to clean! My toddler threw a plastic bag on the stove top and burn it. A little olive oil and vinegar remove it without damaging the cooktop. It comes with safety features to lock the cooktop and auto turn off when not in use. Installation was fast and very easy. The dual burner is great when cooking a large meal.

Customer service is practically non-existent

I have used this product happily for several years. Now it is making an unexplained beeping noise (10 beeps every 2 minutes). Very annoying! After several unsuccessful attempts to get help from LG Customer Service I started searching the internet for solutions. I found that many people have had the same problem but I could not find a solution. One other unhappy customer suggested that it needed a new control board which is no longer available. I guess I will have to buy another cooktop but IT WILL NOT BE FROM HOME DEPOT OR LG!

[Rewarded Review] Sleek cooktop

I had to replace an older cooktop after the glass cracked. This LG fit the bill both in size (for I. The cut out including the down draft) and features. It looks sleek and heats up pots and pans much quicker than my old Kitchen Aid. So much so once liquids are boiling I’ve had a hard time lowering the temp enough to simmer. That is taking some getting used to as well as the 2 step process to adjust the heat level. You must select the burner then the temp setting from the main/central control. I prefer the Kitchen Aid where it could set the temp directly right at the control for each burner but I’m getting used to it. And as with other LG appliances it does play a little tune when you shut it off. I have found the fan a little annoying. It’s fairly quiet but I never expected a fan or noise at all. I suppose it cools the glass quicker and is not that big of a deal. Not being aware of that or having that on the Kitchen Aid made it unexpected.

[Rewarded Review] Flickers, confusing controls, poor factory support

First thing we noticed after installation is that the controls are confusing. Any new user requires a couple minutes of explaining. To turn on the right big burner, you first need to hold "Power" for three seconds. Then you need to press the burner symbol twice to get full 10" as indicated by a light next to a "D". Then you need to select the power level number. Then a second or two later it stops flashing and indicates it's on.

Nice looking 5 burner

Very nice and modern looking electric stove does not live up to its name. We have had problems since we bought it and this last time I have decided to never buy LG again. Upon reading other reviews on line seems like other people have experienced the same problem, i.e., stove starts giving long continuous beeping a/t, and will not stop unless u disconnect from the breaker in garage. Other times, all the lights start flashing and also will not stop, and then you cannot turn the lights off nor get the stove started. If you disconnect from the breaker again and turn on the stove, there is no way you can turn it off. Made me very uneasy when the burners were turning red and no way to turn it off immediately unless went to the breaker AGAIN and turned it off. It has been a week since I have been trying to maybe see if this problem will clear itself to no avail. Now I read in other people posting problems that this happens in "cold" temperatures. Well it is very cold outside and I can't be without a stove. It's time to move on another brand. My old Frigidaire never failed me, I just wanted a "better brand" and more modern looking one since my old one was over 20 yrs old and white in color while my other appliances are black. I have had stove less than 2 years, paid cash and didn't buy the warranty. Buy stove with knobs, not touch screen.

[Rewarded Review] Poor quality control

My 3rd and now final cook-top stopped working this evening after a very bad electrical burning rubber/plastic smell from it. My 1st unit lasted 6yrs with no issues then, the glass mysteriously cracked from the bottom left to the top right. Stove was off, cold and nothing on it. We were in the other room and heard a pop. The replacement lasted 6 months before it would play a "jingle" every few minutes and the only way to stop it and make the controls respond would be to flip the breaker. over several weeks this got more and more frequent before it stopped working completely. Despite having home depots 5yr plan, we had to deal with LG. What a horrible experience, parts back-ordered, not available, cant be found blah blah. After 2 months, they refunded us the money we paid. 2 months no stove! Foolishly I bought another one. Same thing having to reset the breaker though less frequently. 11 months later, and after the burning electrical smell & smoke this evening I'm done with this unit. Many complaints about the jingle and non responsiveness, most concerning when the unit is on (my experience was always when off thankfully) clearly show that the issue remains unresolved after many years. No parts, same issues yet they continue to manufacture the product. Shame on you LG.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

THIS COOKTOP (LCE3010SB) IS BEST TO AVOID!! I purchased this for a kitchen upgrade in June 2019 (mfg date 4/19), it's been ongoing trouble. I had warranty repair done on the unit this past February (after a licensed electrician verified the power source, and a ridiculous orchestration with LG's troublesome customer service). After back and forth, the entire electronic board was ordered and replaced by LG's local service provider (rural Oregon coast). Problems improved, but the unit still doesn't function 100%. When pandemic closures hit, I was faced with the dread of having to go through the torture of LG's poor customer service again to try arranging further service. Before warranty replacement of the electronic board, the unit would have to be turned off every time at the circuit breaker, burners on, unable to be turned off (while it beeped). The touchpad rendered useless until after a hard reset (HAZARDOUS!). It continues to occasionally need to be turned off at the breaker, (and randomly beeps) even with the new electronic board. I went to the cost and trouble to extend warranty on this item, since covid restrictions limited repair. I've since learned this unit has a history of electronics issues. LG is fully aware of problems with the electronic board on this model, they're currently on version 3, and it still isn't resolved. They should cease production, but it continues to be sold in some locations (local appliance store has stopped selling it). IT IS NICE LOOKING, A NICE CONCEPT, BUT DOESN'T WORK RELIABLY... and after just being on the phone with LG customer torture again (4 times - being transferred then told to call back!), I'm ready to toss this unit off the deck. I will not buy another LG anything if this is their attempt at "service" of any kind.

[Rewarded Review] Nice looking

We have had this cooktop for 6 months now, which is ample time to make good use of it and give an informed review of the product. My wife is the cook in our home and she likes the look and operation of the cooktop. However, there is one recurring issue with the cooktop and that is disappointing and is a nuisance. Within the first few weeks of installation and today for a 3rd time over the past 6 months we have had to "reset" the cooktop at the breaker box because it either failed to power on or while was it was on the cooktop would malfunction and all the lights on the cooktop would light up. When it first happened, my wife found it this was an issue with this cooktop when looking for troubleshooting tips online. We were disappointed to read that and had hoped that it would not be a recurring issue and if so that it would be few and far between because we just did not want to go through the process of having to replace it. Now, after the third malfunction in 6 months we are thinking we will likely have to replace it. Granted it is an "easy fix" to flip the breaker and reset it but we should not have to do that. This is our third cooktop in 27 years all of which were replaced for aesthetic reasons. This is first one we have ever had a problem with and the most expensive one we have ever purchased. But for this resetting issue I would have rated this cooktop as 5 stars.
