Worst Pretty Refrigerator Ever
Ice maker is the worst and water hard get to.Sucks
Nice Fridge
Just been installed for a week. So far so good. The water dispenser inside the wall is a little small but I like better than being in the outside of the door.
Great Small French-Door Refrigerator!!
Love this Cafe french-door refrigerator/freezer!! Perfect small size for my kitchen!
Graet so far
great product so far. It has been working as expected so far
Beautiful, but...
Beautiful, but do not like that the sides are not painted white.
First cafe never going back to anything else
So easy to keep clean! This is the nicest refrigerator I have ever had in my life. It is so beautiful.
Do not buy any appliances from GE
GE appliances workmanship and quality have changed since we last purchased our Refrigerator. It was a GE Profile. Purchased in 2012. The first GE café refrigerator was delivered in poor condition. The gaskets on the doors were too big and flapping every time we opened the door. The inside door bins were defective and did not fit on the doors correctly. The outside of the refrigerators door was scratched. I’m assuming this happened when the incompetent delivery people unpacked the refrigerator and pulled it in my home on a handtruck. It took us forever to get GE to do the right thing and order a replacement refrigerator. They did not want to help us and their escalated department told me it was a warranty issue. Are you kidding me my husband and I paid $4,000 for a refrigerator that was just delivered and it was a warranty issue. The GE representatives were rude. They didn’t care what we experienced with a piece of junk being delivered to our home. I finally gave up with GE and I contacted the store that we purchased the refrigerator. They got involved and it ended up they were able to get GE to order and have a replacement new refrigerator delivered to us. However, it took approximately 10 days to get the replacement new refrigerator delivered to our home. They replacement new refrigerator arrived in good condition. Everything fit correctly. The gaskets were in place. No scratches on the outside of the refrigerator. My major complaint is the people who work for GE and their customer service department do not care about the quality of service they give to their customers we all know appliances are extremely expensive and it’s an investment. Buyer beware that’s all I can say and good luck. If you have any issues with the appliances, you purchase from GE.
Great finishes
Definitely the really pretty unit. So far so good, we shall see if can stand the test of time.
Great fridge with a ton of features
Flexible and quite.
We've only had the Cafe fridge for a week. So far we notice it is extremely quite, and very user friendly with the shelve and door flexibility.
Freezer stopped working in less than a year
So disappointed in this product. We had all new Cafe appliances installed with a remodel less than a year ago. The freezer suddenly stopped cooling. Took a week to get a repair person here, then another week to get a new electrical board. Problem still isn’t fixed. Why can’t anyone make a decent refrigerator any more? Don’t waste your money on this brand.
Refrigerator Delivery
GE, Home Depot and Lowes all use the same third party delivery company where I live. No in house GE trained delivery and install employees. I have had several bad experiences with the third party delivery. They do not have moving pads to protect your floors or entrance to your home. They use a handcart and forcefully roll it over your door threshold. They are not trained on how to attach the water and ice connection to the refrigerator. The new refrigerator righthand door’s gasket is too big and the delivery person told me the refrigerator was defective. What a mess dealing with untrained people. He told me I needed to order a replacement refrigerator. All I need is a gasket that fits. He also told me the refrigerator couldn’t be pushed all the back in the custom cabinet. After the delivery people left I pushed the refrigerator out and carefully attached the water ice connection to the back of the refrigerator and pushed the refrigerator back all the way into the custom cabinet. It looks great! GE should have trained GE delivery and install employees. If a customer spends $3,500 for a refrigerator they should offer white glove service. They do not unpack and install the inside drawers and the online appliance manual does not show you where the drawers go, It’s a horrible customer service experience. I also think that a customer should be able to select the door handles without having to pay $500.00 or more this should be included with the refrigerator price. I had to pay extra for the brass handles. Making the refrigerator’s price $4,000. Plus I had to pay for the delivery. The refrigerator is not anything special or a wow factor. The inside is almost identical to my 2012 GE Profile that the mother board and compressor went out 3 times.
Loud and disappointing
I am very disappointed with this fridge and with the customer service supporting it. Not only it this fridge NOT truly counter depth (its black plastic sides will stick out by 1") - the is fridge is LOUD. The compressor and fans are unusually loud and it runs almost constantly. The sound is unacceptable, especially for an expensive product that is designed to fit into a higher end market. It sounds like I have 10 year old low end fridge. It has made me hate being in my own kitchen - and other rooms on the first floor in which you can hear it as well. GE has been difficult and unwilling to do what needs to be done to rectify this issue. Don't buy this fridge.
Inside water dispenser
Water dispenser is worthless! Very hard & awkward to use. It's so bad I'm back to using tap & bottled water. For the price it is ridiculous they can't come up with a better design. Other than that I like the look & features. Maybe if enough people complain it will convince GE to spend a few more dollars to improve an impt feature of any fridge. Very cheap of them!
GE Cafe
Recently bought a home with this refrigerator. Could you tell me why the plastic tubes at the end of the water dispenser are very dirty and how to clean them? This refrigerator has a hot water option
Poor craftsmanship defective by design
Where do I start. Was really excited to get this fridge delivered but once I began to inspect I realize it’s is pretty much junk. There is glue smeared everywhere on the interior and sides. Doors don’t line up. Plastic components were not casted or molded properly so they have extra plastic remnants just hanging everywhere from them. The entire freezer door is hanging on ONE pair of the worlds flimsiest tracks. Freezer door doesn’t fully close and is very flimsy overall. Returned immediately.
Disappointed
Very loud and noisy, to the point it’s annoying very disappointing because we thought we were upgrading
Love the refrigerator but
Overall love the refrigerator. But the water dispenser is so hard to push. to dispense water, I have to open both doors and push with all my upper strength.
