can't pair chef connect with ge cooktop

Bought this and cooktop together only so i can pair them/connect via Bluetooth as advertised. They won't pair no matter how i tried. really bad experience.

Waiting for return slip

The range hood had been opened before all the parts were thrown in, we did not feel it was right to install this in a new home for our customers, if maybe it had been used. After well over a month, I am still waiting to get the return slip to return this range hood. It has not been a great experience. Very poor response.

makes a very loud noise.

The bell looks nice but since I used it the first week I haven't turned it on anymore because it makes a very loud noise as if it were shaking.

It blocks my view

It sticks out too far and everyone is banging their heads on the corners which is very painful. The lights aren't bright enough and it is slow to turn on and off.

Works great for about a year

Works great for about a year. Then touch button board dies. I've had mine break twice. Outside warranty and it costs half the cost of a new unit to replace just the button board. Looking for an alternative that matches my other GE Profile products. Very frustrating.

This product stopped working with in first month. The technician came out told that GE will contact me about the replacement and it’s been 2 week since then. No sign of update.

Exhaust different on right and left sides.

The stovetop hood is attractive. It draws exhaust from the left side of the stovetop nicely but draws very little from the right side. I confirmed this by putting a small piece of paper towel next to the right grease filter and then under the left grease filter. I can NOT understand why GE would design, build and distribute a stovetop hood that does not exhaust evenly from both sides!!!

The unit arrived not working. Upon taking the advice of the Home Depot customer service rep, we placed a warranty call with GE tech support. When they came out 5 days later, they said parts were missing from the unit under the hood. We of course didn’t know that because we are advised not to open the hood because it would void the warranty. When I went to talk to the store not were they not helpful the manager refuse to come out to talk to me. As a customer, the 48hour return policy was not obvious and I literally didn’t get a hold of someone until the 50 something hours. I have had great respect for home depot because I have ordered appliances before but this experience has taught me that buying appliance from Home Depot is a trap to be stuck with a defective unit with no one to talk to and being stuck with a defective unit that I now is my problem to dispose of. Lastly also a waste of money. I am disappointed and Home Depot can do better. Zero stars would be a better rating to be honest

The fan is to loud for me

The GE exhaust fan is very nice. Nice bright lights with dimmer settings. Good suction for exhaust with multiple speeds. Very nice. Highly recommend.

Looks great but horrible performance!

This vent hood looks very good. The performance is very lacking. First, there is a metal flap that opens and closes when the vent is turned on. This makes a very loud racket when flapping open and closed. Second, the vent motor is on the left side so that is where all the suction is. No suction at all for the right side. Third, the construction of parts around the motor is plastic for the housing and ducting. The ducting is only held on with a few screws. I had my vent hood to vent outside. There is a cover to be installed so air is directed outside instead of out the vents on top of the unit. The problem is that those plastic pieces are not very well fitting that air still get pushed out the top. Lastly, the most annoying point of all.... When cooking the grease is on the fan and the circular housing. The grease will drip back down onto the stove and whatever pot/food that you happen to have under the fan.

Functions well, nice light, powerful fans. Stainless finish is not the best version, once I had it installed we realized the stainless steel panels were warped.

Ok but with limitations.

This is my third unit. The first two arrived damaged. Although this one is fine, I had to wait several weeks to get it. Likes: looks good and easy to install. Dislikes: Noisy, with venting to outside, it only pulls from one side so not that efficient and filter gets dirty quickly.

I absolutely love my new vent hood. It has a strong draw and excellent lighting.
