Flexible Installation

Very attractive stainless steel crown is available along with various lengths of stainless steel ducts so it can terminate at the ceiling or wherever you might choose. Recommend a flexible duct to fit inside the chase instead of rigid duct sections.

Beautiful hood vent

Beautiful hood vent - could not be happier with this purchase. It REALLY sucks out the cooking smells from the kitchen and looks amazing above our stove. Highly recommend this product to anyone else in the market for a nice stainless vent.

This zline product comes with high quality steel materials that last longer, precisely designed to fit in all standard kitchens. The hood has 4 fan speed setting to choose based on your need and also comes with led lights. Its very light weight and easy to install. Highly recommend if you would like to get rid of cooking smell and stickiness from your kitchen cabinets.

Nice but with caveats

I only gave 3 stars because for such an expensive vent hood, one would expect that with the claim of a ventless application that at least the first set of charcoal filters would be provided. They were not and ZLINE wants $50+ for a pair, where other manufacturers only cost as little as $20 a pair. Another star was removed because to go ventless in an 8' kitchen ceiling required modifying the upper chimney piece that has the vented area (adding additional holes to make lower connection to hood). Using the 2 pieces provided was impossible since there is a 30" minimum height requirement from the top of your stove/range causing the lower attaching piece to cover the side venting ports of the top piece in an 8' ceiling application (the 2 pieces nest in each other). Proper holes should have been factory cut in the upper piece to insure best connection alignment. I had to do my best to cut these holes manually without damaging the finish.

Gorgeous addition to our kitchen

The hood fits perfectly into the theme of our 100 year old farm house. The option to add the stainless steel moulding was the perfect touch. We only have 7' ceilings so had to purchase the short ceiling kit in addition to the hood. We went with the recirculating option and while it does a good job we mY end up doing a direct vent as we can still set off the smoke detector! It's not a quiet fan by any means but it is great quality for a very reasonable price.

What an irritating transaction Not only did I receive the wrong model (the older and cheaper model KL-2 instead of the KL-3) but I was also sent a hood that was badly scratched. Since it was missing the protective film I can only assume this was a return item that I was sent. No thank you. I reached out to Zline regarding the scratches as I felt it was a manufacturer defect They are a joke to deal with. Just received an email to send photos (which I did) then a list of questions to answer, including the model number. It was at this point I discovered I had been sent the wrong item! Zline never got back to me. No help whatsoever I contacted Overstock next as I felt being sent the wrong model was now their issue to resolve. After all, they do list these models separately on their site, and charge more for the KL-3! Once again I was sent down a rabbit hole of photo requests (which I promptly supplied) followed by no response. Hmm... So I'm stuck with a kitchen project on hold, a nearly $*** range hood I can't install, and a 30 day return policy that is fast ending I used to really like Overstock, never had a problem and always recommended to friends, but now I'm not sure If you really like the Zline products you might be better off buying them in a brick and mortar store where you can unbox and check the merchandise before buying it because this is starting to feel like a weird bait and switch thing (Check out someone else's review for the KL-2 model on Overstock as they too had been sent a damaged hood with no real help or resolution from Zline or Overstock) So disappointed I will update this review once this issue gets resolved And once I get the correct model installed in my kitchen. Because I really, really wanted to like this range hood

Works great. Looks cool.

I like the four vent hood fan settings. The first two are lower settings and are quieter. Settings three and four get pretty loud but do the job. The first light setting is the brighter one and when you push it again it dims. I wish the brighter setting was a bit brighter than it is. You can angle the lights a bit to shine forward. I love the stainless molding around the top. Even the various contractors in my house checked it out and liked it. We really like it.

Looks like it cost three times as much!

Outstanding packaging! Hood and crown molding placed in separate soft cloth bags. Stainless covered with protective film. Sturdy frame in box. Easy to install. Adjustable led lights are great. Looks great. Crown molding a very nice touch. Excellent buy.

Excellent and very powerful, looks great recommend

Very good looking, and works amazing. I bought it mainly for vanity, but it actually functions great. Cook all day with no smell, I'm fairly sure you could smoke cigarettes next to it and have all the smoke smell sucked out. Had two install issues. This replaced a microwave in the same spot and my existing vent was too low and a new hole and vent had to be added and my electrical outlet was not midline and also had to be moved.

Love Our Range Hood!

We love our range hood! The workmanship is excellent! It arrived quickly! The price was VERY fair! The ONLY downside was that we weren't notified when our hood was sent, (so we could watch for it.) We did sign up for notifications... also, the instructions weren't as detailed as we would have liked. They were O.K., but left a bit to the imagination...Overall; OUTSTANDING! We would HIGHLY recommend!

Great for the cost

My contractor said it wasnt really all that easy to install. If I hadnt ordered the crown molding , he said there would have been a gap that he would of had to creatively fix. I got the recirculating air type. However, for the very reasonable cost ,we are satisfied with it. I didnt need a super high powered pro fan so this was even better than what I had before, and I rarely,used that . The only downside Id say is its hi shine and shows fingerprints. Its quiet unless you get up to level 4 but Id expect that. Overall, Im quite,satisfied

Beautiful!

I bought this over a month ago and finally installed it and had a friend do the duct work. In my 1931 house, the stove is in the middle of the kitchen so the ducting had to go from the ceiling, down into the basement and across the room to the outside wall. We bought a blower fan to help move the air out only we didnt end up needing it. The fan works so well it has the power all on it's own. I read some people think these fans are loud, they're not. It's way quieter than expected and so beautiful, I bought the crown molding to top if off and i love it! I posted a couple pics (I havent painted yet so dont mind the bare wall)

Great range hood!

We recently remodeled out kitchen and were looking for a sleek and simple design that complimented our shaker cabinets. This range hood was priced really well and a lot less money than other hoods we looked at. We had an electrician install it as the installation process was beyond our ability. This range hood works well and looks amazing! We could not be more pleased with it. If we ever need another hood, we’ll be purchasing from this site.

Lovely and so well made!

After hunting high and low for a beautiful range hood for my new kitchen I came across this one and was really pleased to see the price. It was just what I was looking for AND it included the fan system. I received it quickly after ordering and couldnt wait to open the box and take a look. I was thrilled to see it is just as lovely as it looks online. I dont have it up yet as my kitchen hasnt been started yet. I will take a picture and post here as soon as the kitchen is complete. Do not hesitate to purchase this. Its awesome.

Very good overall

After using our new range hood for a few weeks, we can say that so far we are quite pleased. The styling of the KE-36-400, even though modern, does blend well with our slightly more traditional kitchen. The fan is quiet, especially on the lower settings, and we find that we rarely need the highest setting anyway. The lower settings eliminate odors just fine if we run it during the actual cooking, even fish odors! The lights are awesome, and we love that you can adjust the angle, although a wonderful improvement would be to have the adjust brightness as well (for a night light setting). Overall, a terrific product!

Function and Beauty

I bought this (KF2-36) range hood several months before my house was completed enough to install, but I didn't want to chance it selling out. It was delivered quickly and in perfect condition There is a plastic lining adhered to the stainless steel finish to protect it from scratches and it is packed in styrofoam to prevent dents. All the hardware needed to install is included, and everything goes together well. I chose this model because of the four CFM settings. It has enough power to vent anything I can cook up. The lights are bright and pool over the stove top. I do wish there were two light settings instead of one, but this is minor. The range hood operates well and is surprisingly quiet. The best part is that it looks beautiful while it functions flawlessly.

Looks good, but a few concerns.

I've had this installed for about 2 months now, and the one upshot is that the design fit exactly what I was looking for at a price that didn't break the bank.
