42" Range Hood

We purchased a Zline 42" Range Hood for the remodel of our kitchen. It arrived in a timely manner and in good condition. After installation it runs very quiet even on high. You can see how impressive it is in the photo, which, is included. We are very happy with the quality and prompt service we received. It will complement our new gas stove. (A 1948 Okeffe and Merritt).

Once up, it's very nice. Two important points: 1. It's made for minimum 9 foot ceilings. So for our 1960's colonial renovation, we were puzzled until we found a shortening kit available separately. 2. It's not easy to install. I see comments claiming that and just want to point out that my installers were quite seasoned and it may be that installing overtop of glass tile added difficulty, but it took most of the day. In the end, it looks really nice and is sturdy.

Gorgeous addition to our kitchen

The hood fits perfectly into the theme of our 100 year old farm house. The option to add the stainless steel moulding was the perfect touch. We only have 7' ceilings so had to purchase the short ceiling kit in addition to the hood. We went with the recirculating option and while it does a good job we mY end up doing a direct vent as we can still set off the smoke detector! It's not a quiet fan by any means but it is great quality for a very reasonable price.

Nothing short of just..... WOW! Holy cow did it just really get this beautiful high end looking and highly functional and super quiet running ventahoo for THAT price!?? I did! Big box store junk couldn't even come close to this low price and we were actually amazed at the quality we received in this order. I'd highly recommend this vent hood over every other one we shopped, and there were a ton of them ranging from dirt cheap crap to super fancy well-known luxury brands.

Smooth!

One word: smooth. I wanted the darker one (not the black), but I settled for this one because I was going to insert it under the cabinet anyway. My wife loved that there's already lighting over the cooktop. Plus, she doesn't have to deal with smoke anymore, and that's what matters. It also makes our kitchen look spanking, which isn't the case with our previous kitchen. That one was old school.

Example: gave dims for min/max clearance above and below, but didn't have the dimension for the unit itself! Nor dimensions to centerlines of holes! So....pic of establishing centerline on wall, but no dim to holes e.s.-shouldn't have to dig for this stuff.

This hood is a knockout. made well, attractive...get compliments all of the time. easy to install. looks great with my special glass (black) behind it. nice added top piece to really finish it off. the method of how to clean the filters is easy and they are nice looking too. the lights are plenty bright enough. I would recommend this unit.

Beautiful stainless hood.

Perfect Hood for our kitchen remodel. Love the added crown molding detail and push buttons. We have a 1928 home and didn't want to a super modern hood. Very happy with this purchase and very happy with the overstock prices. Fast shipping as always!! Five stars. Just need to finish painting the staircase and trim work. Almost done with the remodel. Ahhhh...

Great for the cost

My contractor said it wasn’t really all that easy to install. If I hadn’t ordered the crown molding , he said there would have been a gap that he would of had to creatively fix. I got the recirculating air type. However, for the very reasonable cost ,we are satisfied with it. I didn’t need a super high powered pro fan so this was even better than what I had before, and I rarely,used that . The only downside I’d say is it’s hi shine and shows fingerprints. It’s quiet unless you get up to level 4 but I’d expect that. Overall, I’m quite,satisfied.

Beautiful!

I bought this over a month ago and finally installed it and had a friend do the duct work. In my 1931 house, the stove is in the middle of the kitchen so the ducting had to go from the ceiling, down into the basement and across the room to the outside wall. We bought a blower fan to help move the air out only we didnt end up needing it. The fan works so well it has the power all on it's own. I read some people think these fans are loud, they're not. It's way quieter than expected and so beautiful, I bought the crown molding to top if off and i love it! I posted a couple pics (I havent painted yet so dont mind the bare wall)

After hunting high and low for a beautiful range hood for my new kitchen I came across this one and was really pleased to see the price. It was just what I was looking for AND it included the fan system. I received it quickly after ordering and couldnt wait to open the box and take a look. I was thrilled to see it is just as lovely as it looks online. I dont have it up yet as my kitchen hasnt been started yet. I will take a picture and post here as soon as the kitchen is complete. Do not hesitate to purchase this. Its awesome.

Very good overall

After using our new range hood for a few weeks, we can say that so far we are quite pleased. The styling of the KE-36-400, even though modern, does blend well with our slightly more traditional kitchen. The fan is quiet, especially on the lower settings, and we find that we rarely need the highest setting anyway. The lower settings eliminate odors just fine if we run it during the actual cooking, even fish odors! The lights are awesome, and we love that you can adjust the angle, although a wonderful improvement would be to have the adjust brightness as well (for a night light setting). Overall, a terrific product!

Great Product! A little difficult to install.

I bought this range hood to go above my range in place of a prior microwave. This ZLINE hood looks GREAT. I really like the style and especially the recirculating feature which allowed me to install the hood without the need to externally vent. The hood itself was great quality. My only negative feedback is regarding the installation process which wasn't exactly clear. The hood came with a very nice instruction booklet - but the booklet didn't address my specific type of range hood and left several steps vague. If I hadn't been handy, it would have been very difficult for me to install this product. But in the end, I managed the install in about 4-5 hours time and the end result looks great!

Bought this to replace a fancy Italian - made outfit that the motor went out. Can't get new parts because the company's out of business. This fan is every bit as good -- probably stronger and quieter and just as sturdy. Easy installation. Lifetime guarantee a real selling point. Don't like the location of the lights or controls, but the fantastic price makes up for that.

This product is just sweetness. Brushed stainless that matched my kitchenaide gas range nicely. The crown molding is a BEAUTIFUL touch!!!!! 10 stars on that! The suction is great. Installation was as easy as hanging it on screws, plugging it in and putting the flexible vent pipe out the wall. Yes the motor perhaps might be a bit louder than the $900 fans but let’s face it, it’s a fan. I love this item.

Function and Beauty

I bought this (KF2-36) range hood several months before my house was completed enough to install, but I didn't want to chance it selling out. It was delivered quickly and in perfect condition There is a plastic lining adhered to the stainless steel finish to protect it from scratches and it is packed in styrofoam to prevent dents. All the hardware needed to install is included, and everything goes together well. I chose this model because of the four CFM settings. It has enough power to vent anything I can cook up. The lights are bright and pool over the stove top. I do wish there were two light settings instead of one, but this is minor. The range hood operates well and is surprisingly quiet. The best part is that it looks beautiful while it functions flawlessly.

Looks good, but a few concerns.

I've had this installed for about 2 months now, and the one upshot is that the design fit exactly what I was looking for at a price that didn't break the bank.
