DO NOT BUY.

DO NOT BUY. I never leave reviews, but this product is so bad I had to. The instructions are horrible and the product doesn't fit according to those instructions. The blades constantly hit the top part making a loud noise so I have to shave of some of the material to stop it from hitting. In addition, I had to go backwards from what the instructions are to get everything to fit properly. Very disappointing. I've had a number of Hunter fans in the past and they all worked great.

Not the greatest fan, needs improvement

The mounting screws show at the top, something a more expensive fan I purchased does not. The bulb is also very dim. The remote also has a lag time. Although mounted correctly, it has a slight shimmy at top speed.

Mostly looks good. Not true light dimming.

The nickel base and grey blades look really good. That's the positive.

Horrible. Beautiful looking design but HUNTERS failed at the creation. This fan has a specific pin release right above the light kit that will prevent you from taking the fan down for any reason. I had to cut the fan in order to remove it and then I returned them to WAYFAIR. I called Hunters and they didn’t have a solution but they tried to help. WAYFAIR was very understanding and agreed to allow the return because of the problem. But they look BEAUTIFUL.

This is the 13th ceiling fan I’ve installed and by far the easiest yet. Hunter is good quality and makes installation a breeze. The remote works great and it was so nice that the remote receiver was built-in to the fan and didn’t have to be wired separately. It even comes with the lightbulb, which is dimmable with the remote. Looks nice and was easy for this 53 y.o. female to install myself.

Light is dim and the fans do not work properly

We bought two of these for the bedrooms. What a nightmare. The installation went fine, the directions and manual were clear and concise. Now, after all that time and effort they don't work!

Great looking fan. Chose black with tinted glass. the blades are black on one side and a grey black on the other. I opted to put lighter side out.

Great fan

This is a very good looking fan. Would give it 5 stars, but it had a couple minor issues. The bottom edge of the glass globe is very rough and sharp, easy to cut your hand on when installing. Also the way the light attaches to the fan is very good (locks into place), unless you need to remove the fan or have an issue. The light assembly has to be completely disassembled in order to remove the light. This is not an issue if you are permanently mounting the light. I only came across it because I forgot to attach a wire on the fan motor. Test your lights and fan motor before attaching the light fixture. This fan is extremely quite and works great.

We really like the fan. It looks clean without being too modern. It mounted nicely flush to the ceiling. The electrician did point out that the unit that houses the motor is pretty big, overall it seems balanced in design and function. The motor is fairly quiet which is a definite plus. The remote is small and mounted nicely into our drywall with the provided anchors. To reverse the blade direction you hold down the fan button on the remote which works nicely and is a definite plus, gone are the days of flipping the switch on the base of the fan. I do have two criticisms, first, and most importantly, the light dimming function does not work. It is supposed to work by holding down the light button on the remote, but it does not change the brightness of the bulb. This function did work on my previous ceiling fan and I did have it installed by the same electrician so I am confident it is a malfunction in the fan itself. It is not worth it to me to take it down and return it, but it is annoying since this is a function I previously used daily. My second criticism is that when you turn the light or fan on and off it beeps. This is very annoying and I have yet to figure out a way to turn it off. Overall I am pleased.

Overall a very nice fan but.....

We selected this fan as a replacement for a fan in our kitchen eating area which is about 10' x 10'. We installed downlights in the ceiling over a new counter height kitchen table and wanted a smaller fan (down from 52" to 44") so the blades would not interfere with the down lighting. We also wanted a fan with a nice light to shine down on the table as the downlights would be around the perimeter of the table. We also had normal height ceilings so we wanted a fan that hugged the ceiling and we wanted to upgrade to a remote control so we did not have to keep pulling a chain to operate the fan. This fan met all of our expectations except for the light & remote control. The fan is very stylish and modern, quiet, hugs the ceiling nicely and the light shade & bulb are also very stylish. The remote is very compact and has a bracket to wall mount if desired so it doesn't get misplaced. The mount is very robust and it was easy to install. The brushed nickel finish is also very nice. Where this fan disappointed was with the stylish looking LED Edison type bulb. The bulb is very dim even on its highest setting and shines a very eerie shadow thought the room with hardly any light shining directly down on the table top. We understand this fan is designed for multiple types of rooms and not just a kitchen eating area, but if this was the main ceiling light for a bedroom it would be difficult to see how this would light up a room enough other than mood lighting. The good thing is the bulb uses a standard socket so it can be replaced but only with another LED or CFL lamp as the wattage is limited to 14 watts max. We were able to find a nice PAR 20 LED flood lamp that lights up our kitchen table very nicely although it does not look as cool as the Edison lamp. The other negative is the remote, while it works just fine and is nice and compact it is almost too compact with only 4 buttons. In order to access all of the features of the fan you have to press multiple buttons in a certain sequence to change things such as fan direction, dimming options and the optional beep feature. There are so many combinations they supply a small cheat sheet with the sequence codes on it. I feel if they would have simply added 1 or maybe 2 more buttons to the remote it would have simplified the operation of the remote and negated the need for the multiple button sequences. All in all we are happy with the fan style and operation and it fits our room perfectly.

I received this Hunter 52" fan and was very excited. Upon its arrival the glass dome for the light fixture was shattered during shipping. Although this was upsetting, i knew I could get (buy) a new glass fixture so I had the fan installed by an electrician. The motor that turns the fan blades did not turn on. It was then that I put in a request to Overstock Return/Exchange Department. I can not say enough about their professional customer service. I explained what was wrong and they immediately rectified the situation. I received a new fan and was able to send back the broken one. Once the 2nd fan was installed it was then that I was able to truly review the fan and I am not thrilled with the quality of this HUNTER fan product. The entire fan moves when you are changing the fan speed like a car with a clutch going into gear... The remote is cheap quality and the dimmer for the light does not work. Overall I'm extremely disappointed with this fan but that is of no fault of Overstock.

Very Disappointed

I am writing this out of frustration. This is my second Hunter fan. The first is a different model and I love it so much that I ordered this one from the bedroom. Once the installation was complete, I turned the fan one and there is an awful clicking sound. When I went to disassemble the unit to assess where the noise is coming from, I discovered that the light kit is impossible to remove. Turning it in the opposite direction does not work. I’ve phoned customer service twice. The first time the representative told me to use a jeweler’s screwdriver to see if I can find the button to disengage the light from the fan. I tried this for hours after hanging up with her with no luck. The second time I called to see if there were any other options and another representative told me to see if I could get a friend to help me. Now I’m stuck with a light because when I turn the fan on the clicking is horrendous. Why is it so difficult to remove the light fixture on this model? The fan looks nice but the design is terrible. I want to scream because at this point I am so frustrated and have no clue what to do. It’s bad when the folks who make the product can’t give you guidance.

I am not a fan of this

I am currently installing this fan and writing out of frustration. This thing is a piece of garbage. I installed everything up to the light. When it came to light install I locked the connector and tried to turn the metal bracket to lock in place. It wouldn't go. The instructions says turn clockwise. I tried both directions. The internal parts slipped so I disassembled it and fixed bent brackets that lock motor in place. I bent them back and assembled everything again up to the light. Still it wouldn't click lock in place no matter which direction I turn it. I finally took apart apart the light up to that bracket and tried to take the long approach. It still wouldn't lock. I run my business and have never had that issue before. This model is pure trash.

Great appearance for modern or farmhouse decor. The blade choices are both dark and I chose the brown/grey with wood grain side. The other is rich dark brown that could be black. The antique bulb that is included matches my new wall sconces. For some reason the ceiling mount was not level and the fan housing didn’t sit centered, causing it to hit the housing. So I had to disassemble the whole thing, shim, and reassemble. Now it works great and runs super quiet. Just wish the instructions would have mentioned the leveling. I’m including a picture of the bags with parts because while the instructions are clear as to where to find the parts, I must have looked a dozen times and couldn’t see the star, circle, triangles with the black parts inside.

I love the "old school" appearance of this fan; the matte black finish and globe light give it a stunning appearance. It runs very quietly, moves a good volume of air, was wobble-free out of the box, and all fan & light functions (on/off, speed, direction, brightness) are controlled via remote. Except for attaching the light fixture, installation was super easy; wire ties around the wire bundle needed to be cut in order to fit the connector and wire into the hole at the top of the fixture. In addition, there were some minor errors in the installation/troubleshooting directions; however, these do not detract from the total experience with this fan.

This Hunter Bennett 52 in. LED Low Profile Matte Black Indoor Ceiling Fan With Globe Light Kit and Handheld Remote Control has more good stuff than several less quality fans combined. I have a Hunter combo similar to this one in my master bedroom and going to put this in one of my spare bedrooms. I guess the best way to list attributes is with bullet points in no particular order. 1. Quality construction and material is far above the norm. 2. Ease of installation makes it so enjoyable and without the struggle with other brands. 3. Hunter has the most detailed, accurate and organized instructions I have ever seen. A major plus for those with little experience. 4. The remote control I genuinely love. Some reviews I have read complain about it. Not me. I mounted it just inside the door. I can turn the fan and or light on with a couple of taps of the finger. Same when I leave the room. I also have the option of taking it from the bracket and taking it to my night stand. All operations can be controlled by the remote. Light on/off dim to bright etc., fan speed and option to reverse direction for updraft or downdraft. 5. Fan is very well balanced and quiet. 6. This is a really pretty ceiling fixture which you will receive many compliments. Enjoy!

I installed this Hunter Bennett 52 inch LED Low Profile Fan in my dining room. The room is used more for sitting than dining so I thought this would work well. Installation was pretty easy. This fan included a full page size booklet of instructions. In addition, the parts you need at each step are in separate bags and are clearly marks so you know which one to use.
