Great Fan

Looks good, moves air big time, quiet. The light is perfect for the room. Purchased the WC600 wall mount fan control. I'm looking into if the remote can be used also.

Looks great. Poor quality.

Less than a week after install the receiver failed (in other words, the remote became useless and thus the fan could not change fan speed or dim the light). Minka customer service was helpful to a point. We are waiting for the replacement but when it arrives they advised we were on our own to install and if it requires calling an electrician out to fix, that will be done on our dime. Does not strike me as standing behind their product. Would not buy another MinkaAire product.

Minka AirE Fans a winner!

We purchased these fans for every room in our home. It circulates the air without too much breeze. The light has all Kelvin’s 2700,3000 and 4,000. If you set them up in an area that is >20 feet apart, the remote will control each fan. I turned our fan on in our room and the back porch fans went on too. So we called Minka AirE and the tech support helped me reprogram the remotes.

I love the fan. Simple. Quiet. Efficient. I love the remote. I dislike the light and will not use it.

Not my Favorite

This is the 5th Minka Air fan I've installed and ranks last on my favorite list. (FYI - Raptor tops the list hands down!) The other fans have been flawless up to their highest speeds but not this one. Once it gets to 5-6 speeds, it has a small but noticeable wobble. It's not enough to want to rebalance the blades and rotor, but it's there. Frankly, wobble was the reason we replace the fan in this room.

The fan came packed perfectly, arrived on time, look exactly as shown. It was a great match with the bedroom furniture. I love how quiet it is!

Terrible ambiance perfectly good fan!

The fan is great. The light is terrible. It's piercing and gives me a headache. You can't just change the bulb either. I'm so done buying stuff online.

I LOVE IT

After 4 deferent fans in the bedroom I finally found what I was seeking!!! I love total silence and the buzz or hum from a normal fan I could not deal with. Tried wall switches that were suppose to help but don't. Finally after much research I decided on a DC motor and the Minka Air fan. FINALLY a silent fan, no buzz no hum nothing!!! I love this fan!!! Very easy to install and everything works like a champ with the remote. And the light is awesome from dim to very bright. Can't say enough good about it. I will be replacing the one in living room also even though it is only a few months old.

Sleek, ceiling hugger fan

We needed a ceiling hugger fan as we have an 8' ceiling over a high waterbed. This fan not only filled that need, but is beautifully sleek looking too. We bought the wired wall control in addition to the remote. All work seamlessly. The fan is quiet and efficient. We are very, very happy with our choice.

Striking fan that fits into most room designs

Haven't had the opportunity to use this much, since it is still a chilly spring in the Midwest. But this fan is stunning. It blends well into our sun room (indoors) and has an easy to use remote control.

Perfect Fan for multiple locations around home

I love the design of this fan, modern but not to much so but beautiful in the gray color that I purchased. It has all the details that I wanted and needed which is a remote with auto reverse. It has 6 speeds forward and backwards and a great light that is dimmable all from the remote. Could they improve not unless they figure out self cleaning so you don't worry about dust accumulation

Quiet, Attractive, Works Great

This fab is perfect for our family area. It's quiet, attractive, low profile, works great, and matches our style. We have other lighting sources, so we only use the lamp for low lighting. We're getting another one for our bedroom.

The Minka 52" Sabot is a quiet high quality fan

This fan is a replacement for a Hunter fan that we installed 7 years ago. We would not have replaced our old fan if I hadn't broken it. The Minka Sabot is much quieter than our previous fan. The quality of the materials is first rate. This fan has a DC motor which may account for how quiet it is. The installation instructions in the manual could be clearer. We found some fan installation videos at YouTube the were very helpful on a couple of the tricky spots.

My overall impression is very good for this fan.

All wood looking as expected. Really nice to be able to change direction with the remote instead of climbing up to the fan. Plenty of airflow for the room. Only negative is at the highest speed, it wobbled a bit more than I like. But since it does not wobble at any other speed, I am very reluctant to start playing around with it.

Overall a good fan but reliability is suspect

Pro's: Very nice clean design; Quiet; Dimmable LED down light is great; Easy to take down once the ball and socket type mount and electrical connections are made; Blades are installed before the fan goes up; All functions are controlled by the remote and offer great ranges for speed (6), light brightness, forward/reverse fan rotation.

Easy to install, quiet operation, nice design

Love our new fan! Easy to install and operate. It’s whisper-quiet (I’m a light sleeper and I don’t hear a sound from this fan) and the remote is super handy to control the fan speed and brightness of the light. The look is simple and elegant in our bedroom.

Silver/ gray blade color. Not metallic

Great fan. No wobble at any speed. 6 speeds are great. We placed it in the bedroom and the low setting is great for sleeping vs a 3 speed fan. Looks very modern. It is low profile and minimalist and looks better in person than in the photos.

Pretty Fan with build issues

I bought this fan because I liked the look of it and my local Lamps Plus recommended it highly. I paid to have it installed. After installation, the lamp made clicking noises and shook on any speed over 3 of 6. My electrician tried balancing the blades, but that wasn’t the issue. He opined that there was something wrong with the build of the fan. I called both Minka and Lamps Plus and was told to run the fan for at least a week. I ran it continuously for about two weeks and nothing improved. I returned the fan to Lamps Plus with the intention of buying a Casablanca fan instead. The sales rep insisted that Minka was a better company and ultimately I bought the same Minka fan figuring anyone can make a lemon. Fan 2: I decided to install this one my self. It went together easily until I tried to hang a fan. It turned out that the fan hanger had excess metal left after casting that kept the fan from hanging. I had to take this down and , file off the excess metal to proceed. I completed the installation, but the fan didn’t power up. I disassembled the fan, and after a fair amount of trouble shooting, it turned out that the snap together wire connector was defective. I repaired this and fan now works fine. But, I ordered 2 fans and both had manufacturing defects. I ended up paying for a fan install that I had to uninstall to return. I spent at least an extra hour installing the second fan. I also had to drive to the Lamps Plus store twice. So, I am out $250 for install and 4-5 hours of my time because of manufacturing defects.
