Not completely whisper quiet

There is a light humming at the highest speed and a lighter hum at medium speed, from the motor. Install was okay. Broke one of the long screws trying to see if I could screw it in without pre-drilling. Disappointed with how easily it broke. Would like the threaded holes to be thicker or stronger or both though. You're supposed to screw everything tight so nothing comes loose and makes noise or extra noise or so the fan doesn't fall down but it's too easy to strip the threads of the holes. I almost stripped three of them trying to tighten the screws. Better construction and higher quality fasteners preferred.

We really like the fan’s sleek design and its ease of operation. We are curious, though, why it comes with 2 800 lumen/9 watt dimmable LED (each, 60 watt equivalent) bulbs when the fixture is rated for 1600 lumen/14 watt dimmable LED (each, 100 watt equivalent) bulbs AND the remote allows the higher output dimmable bulbs to be operated at really good set of outputs. Immediately replacing the included bulbs (as we did to gain a double the lumens improved lighting level for our our room) was suboptimal and the only reason we didn’t give the product a 5-star rating.

Horrible Company to Deal With

This fan was installed by a licensed electrician and unfortunately it stopped working after two days. I was told I had to contact the manufacturer, Hunter.and they would not take responsibility Even though the fan is under warranty they were doubting that the electrician thoroughly checked out the fan. They refused to replace the fan until they send me a new receiver and I again hire an electrician to check the receiver. Horrible customer service!

No longer come with the wall cradle,

i have always bought hunter fans for the bedrooms, you can trust they will run quietly. i was upset that they no longer come with a wall mount cradle for the remote. When I called to see if it was missing I was told i could buy one from them for $12.00. I passed after spending $200.00 I thought a cradle should have been included. Every other fan company includes one with the fan. If I had the cradle included it would have been a 5 star rating.

[Rewarded Review] Sleek compact fan

I started looking for a compact ceiling fan a few months ago. I found the Dempsey Low Profile Fan with light. Its just what I was looking for. Its 52 inches with 4 blades. Easy installation similar to other ceiling fans with lights. It has a sleek modern look. Great air flow with only 4 blades. Though, its not the quietest fan I have had but I would not say its the nosiest I have had either. I found the noise level was the highest on high.

The fan was easy to assemble and the instructions were very clear/easy to follow. The two small comments I have are regarding the wall switch cradle for the remote and the direction reverse switch. Hunter should include slightly longer screws as the ones from the existing wall plates are never that long. The reverse switch being under the glass globe (not external or on the remote) is a little annoying but not hard to get to. Overall, still gets 5 stars from me.

I purchased five of these, three 52 inch and two...

I purchased five of these, three 52 inch and two 44 inch. Despite following the directions in the manual, resetting the remotes, double checking the wiring, changing the wall switches, et cetera, the remotes continues to control multiple fan/lights at the same time. So when I go into the guest room, turn on the light, another room's light also turns on. I even removed power to one fan as I reset the remote for another, but even that still didn't fix the issue. Also, the fan and lights occasionally quickly turn off and on again. I can't figure this one out, but I've checked the voltage and resistance for power issues or a short and no issues were found. They're on separate breaker circuits, although they all continue to have this issue. The cause may be the remote receiver, but for all to be faulty cannot be a coincidence. Also, they're not as quiet as I expected compared to other Hunter fans I've purchased in the past and the plastic ring at the top is slighty off color from the rest of the painted metal.
