The water tray cracked and leaked

As a humidifier, it functions extremely well. Unfortunately it's a replacement for an identical one I already have;, which developed a leak in the water holding tray where One of the wheels, is attached through the bottom of the tray. (gluing the track worked only briefly) ;I phoned manufacturer, and replacing the trays complicated, and expensive; as it has to be shipped from the U.S.

Mixed feelings...

Easy to operate, no worries because of the auto shut off. Very quiet which is a plus and is small enough to keep out of the way. I haven't figured out how to clean the fan blade without disassembling the entire unit and the biggest question is how this unit would be in a larger home. It cannot get my 750sq ft apt over 55% which is comfortable enough at 65°F. It's gonna struggle I think when the temps go below zero for 5 months. So, this review so far is yes..recommend for smaller areas.

Wick starts smelling after just 2 weeks of use.

Purchased this in January of 2024. After just 2 weeks of continuous operation the filter in the unit started smelling REALLY bad. My first reaction was maybe the wick that came in the box was old, or that the deminiralization cartridge that came with the product was old as well. I went back to Canadian Tire and purchased the OEM replacement wick (MAF2) and even the Protec PC-1C-BX Continuous Cleaning Cartridge to supplement the deminiralization cartridge. After 2 weeks of continuous use, there goes that smell again. I phoned the EssickAir customer service and what they recommended was to buy distilled water and use it instead of tap. In other words, you will have to fork out extra $$$ in order to enjoy this unit, which may or may not guarantee that the smell will not happen again. Not to mention that you will have to keep on buying the OEM replacement wicks, which cost $25.99 each. Extremely disappointed with this product, and even more disappointed with the customer service. I will exchange this at Canadian Tire, but I DO NOT RECOMMEND this to anyone.

Great humidifier

Keeps the house humid and comfortable. Quiet operation. Reservoir is easy to refill and the unit is easy to clean.

I have had an ear care for four years. I have had no issues with it at all. It is so reliable. I bought a second one. We’re doing a 5000 square-foot home with two of them.

Very pleased with the operation of this humidifier. Great that you don't have to purchase special water (uses tap water) for the humidifier.

It assembled very easy and is very quiet while running. The annoying issue is that while filling the tank it does not sit level and is tippy. Unless being very careful, it will tip over when almost full.

Tank Not Right

poor tank ergonomics, 2 places: 1) handle on wrong edge--must hold by fingertips to install (may also need pinch prevention); 2) empty tank stands up at start of fill but falls at over 1/2 full. Easy design fix.

Not happy

I bought this for a Christmas gift. It only run for 10 days, quit working. I tried to return for a refund & was tod no way. could only exchange. Last time that I will shop at Canadian Tire I'm out $ 180.00 +

The Humidifier box was beat up and wet, like it sat out in the rain or sat in a water puddle. We opened it at the store where I picked it up. The humidifier itself appeared to be undamaged so I agreed to take it home. It is working fine so far.

Great Humidifier

I bought this unit to replace a Venta45 which needed a part. The Venta was $600 and parts are crazy expensive, so decided to buy a different brand. This humidifier is awesome, will be so much easier to maintain, and controls the humidity better than the Venta, which could never even get it to 40%. Wish I had discovered this unit years ago. So easy to fill.

Works well. Humidifies the whole house, without any white dust residue. Easy to fill at any sink.

Very good . I have electric heat , my condo gets very dry and then dust sticks to furniture after one weeks problem solved.

Poor Qaulity and Worksmanship

Cheap worksmanship. Screws holding the fan motor both come off. I have to open the assembly and screw them back.

So disappointed.....

So disappointed with my favourite type of humidifier....had an almost identical Kenmore for years, and loved it. I bought this one last month, but did not use it until the weather turned colder last week. It will not go higher than 29 when it's quite cold outside, and 35 when it is a little milder. I am totally familiar with it's operation, and have tried everything. Emailed Esick for help, but after 3 questions from them which i answered, they stopped responding. I want this humidifier, but I want one that works.....what to do???

Relatively small footprint. Quiet, and the evaporative humidifier doesn’t leave water droplets everywhere like the ultrasonic ones.

My experience 👎

My home is 1400 sq ft. This machine is supposed to cover up to 2600! Never gotten more than 18 hours run time even on lowest settings. Not the easiest to fill but not too difficult either but the container is very heavy when full. I’m glad I purchased at sale price because it did not deliver what it says it should.

Getting asked for a review already...? Can't say 5-stars, it's waay too soon CT! However, so far it's working well. The question is, how will it hold up to regular daily use; the humidity level shutoff is a nice feature, works well. Detects no water, again good feature to save the motor.
