[Rewarded Review] Get ready to cook!

If considering this product, ensure your understanding that you’ll need an electrician and a carpenter for installation. It is not a portable appliance with a plug. You may also need to consult local building codes for such aspects as requirement for a ventilation hood. Other than those needs, the product performs well. The 240 setting for the two large burner plates heat up quickly. My old stove can’t match the cooking speed of this appliance. Degradation of a stove happens over many years and you probably won’t notice it until you get a new replacement. There are no marked temperature settings for the 4 control knobs so it might take a little cooking experience with this appliance to figure out what works best. Being a flat-surfaced stove, clean-up is fast and easy. Not all cookware is suited for this stovetop but what most folks have on-hand will likely suffice. I love this stove and kudos to my neighbor for helping with the installation. If you need more cooking surfaces than your traditional stove provides, this is the product to choose. So much better than a countertop hotplate. Highly recommended!

Heats up very slowly

Product packaging was wet and muddy when it arrived . Product was good inside package.

Somewhat different in operation than I expected but...

Ordered online and it was shipped to my house. Packaging was fine; they use a sheet of plywood to protect the surface (as well as lots of dense closed-cell foam). The end of the cabling was a bit smaller than the original Kenmore this replaced so the installer needed to stop by the local Ace to buy the correct size "ferrule"(?). Whatever, it connected up just fine and is operational. The strange part of this unit is how it heats; rather than the 25% knob setting providing 300W of heat on the 1200W burner, it provides the full 1200W of heat but cycles on and off to provide the total heat that "1/4 power" would yield. It made for a weird initial experience and I had to adjust my expectations when cooking. I think it takes a bit longer to get the food cooked (if I want a low heat setting) but it does work just fine. But maybe that extra time is just my imagination. Bottom line: It works, is easy to keep clean, and looks great. I did buy the extended warranty once I experienced the strange heat cycling (which, apparently, is normal) but maybe I'm worried over nothing.

I will be returning this product! After only a couple weeks of using it I’ve already seen the clear coat or some type of plastic bubbling up and peeling off. I’m not happy with this purchase and although it looks clean, sleet and functions; the quality is just not there.
