Double cylinder deadbolt

It works & has a nice finish but lacks style. It looks like a lock you would see on a commercial door.

Solid Construction

Solid construction and easy to install. I wanted double cylinders because there is glass in/or near both exterior doors.

Nice lock, one flaw in my mind.

Sturdy lock. Like that I could get the locks for 3 doors are with the same key. Only thing I dislike, which might be a safety issue, it that the key cannot be removed from the lock when locking from the inside. Assuming it is incase of a fire, but doesn't eliminate someone from breaking the glass and getting inside.

Surprised

I received the lock as expected and it was just what I ordered. Installation should be easy as I have installed locks before. This lock was to replace an existing lock so all holes were already drilled and were the correct size for this lock. I placed the lock in the hole and aligned them into the latch with no problem. I then put one screw through to hold the two pieces together but left it loose so I could move the lock around to align the second screw. I put the second screw in and tightened it about to turns and I couldn’t turn it any more. I removed the lock and tried putting in the screw. The hole was not threaded correctly and the screw would not go in.

Simple but functional

Simple and yet elegant. I paired it with an equally elegant knob. The screw tops are flat and smooth.

Schlage Double-keyed deadbolt cylinder mounting hardware.

Mounting bolts have no head like a normal single-key deadbolt & require tiny plastic, color-coded inserts to cover the shiny headless bolt. These inserts do not fit well, drop out easily, and are difficult to find, leaving a shiny, chrome bolt in a oil rubbed bronze fitting.
