I looked and looked for something for my koi pond. It was so green I could barely see my fish. After just one application it had cleared up considerably. Now, I just use it to maintain. I definitely recommend this product.

I diluted and added 1/2 recommended amount of algaecide then waited two days and added the second half. Fish showed no signs of stress and water became crystal clear within two days. It recommends treating water once a week but I only treat my pond (1000 gallons) every 2-3 weeks with great results. The light bulb in my filter that kills algae has gone out but by using this algaecide I don't have the expense of replacing the bulb, just cleaning the filter.

Works great, use with caution if you have fish

This works really well to prevent algae in a fish pond. I bought it originally to treat an existing algae problem, but the algae was too advanced for this without multiple filtration systems, so I ended up emptying my pond (~100-150 gal), cleaning, then refilling. TheN I used the algaecide to start new. I used it very conservatively-- I erred on the side of 5mL (50gal) and made sure I poured it in slowly with LOTS of aeration. Other people report this will kill their fish-- it will if you use too much or do not filter/mix it in, so I would start using as little as possible. I now use 5mL aerated in, about 1x/week to prevent further algae blooms and it is working well. My pond has 2 pumps and a filter with some goldfish, for reference, gets partial shade and partial full sun depending on the day. I will continue using this, it has prevented further blooms. Really well priced, just be cautious. Birds tended to not play in the pond for about 3 days after first administration, I think they can sense the chemical and don't go in it, but after a few days they came back. Fish are all doing well, no signs of algae since using it.

Did not perform as advertised used half the recommended dose to be safe. No change in water quality. Added the remaining recommendation and the fish started having breathing issues. Had to pump out half the pond about 1K gallons and refil as quick as I could.
