Loved it until it stopped working
We purchased an A5 in early 2021. A couple of months ago (mid-2024), it stopped producing cold water. I contacted Avalon support (who responded quickly), but ultimately told me I should buy a new unit.
Really happy with the water cooler function
Really happy with the water cooler function, but the hose that extends to the water box is flimsy and we would rather pay more for a more sturdy hose. Other than that, it's great!

For the price, a decent option. Shipping packaging is not adequate to prevent a dent or two, and it does not have a heavy, high quality feel to it.

Failed right after warranty expired
After quite a bit of back and forth with their customer service (you can’t call Avalon, email only) we finally discovered that the unit needed to be replaced. Since we’re now outside of the 1-year manufacturer warranty. This was only after hours of troubleshooting, buying new $100 filters, and a very slow back and forth trying to explain the problem via email. They offered 15% off a new unit and it was the final blow for me. I do not see any reason I’d buy this unit again.
