I had a different brand trash can and it lasted several years and finally quit working. That spoiled me having an automatic lid opener, so I saw this can here on Wayfair at a reasonable price so I had to get it. It’s not that I’m to lazy to open a trash can lid but when you’re cooking and your hands are greasy, sucky or whatever it so nice to walk up to it and have the lid pop open for you.

the sensor could be a little more sensitive and the lid should close after awhile automatically.
