So I bought two of these…the first one I had delivered had a crack in it. I returned it in store and bought the exact one and inspected it in store before I bought it. I installed the filter and noticed a crack that formed after I installed the filter. The pitcher is super thin and any type of pressure will crack it. The filter itself is awesome and you can tell a difference when using
The water tastes amazing!
I absolutely love this pitcher.. It makes water taste really good. I had a little trouble putting the filter in, but once I understood what to do. It was quite easy. It even has an indicator on top to let you know when your filter needs to be changed. The filters are most definitely reasonably priced. It can also fit the great value brand filters, which is great for a lower budget.
Great filter!
Much better filter than the older ones,as water passes through much quicker. We have hard water where we live, so it tastes clean and pure after using this one. My only gripe is the fragility of the pitcher itself. It's a thinner plastic, unlike the older model we had before. Probably easier to recycle, but also easier to accidentally break.
Brita water pitcher
The pitcher was cracked. It is the second cracked Brita pitcher we purchased. The first one was through Amazon and arrived cracked down the side. We thought that ordering directly from Brita would prevent that, but the pitcher we received from Brita directly was also cracked on the side. We were able to tape it with piping plumbers tape, but we don't expect it to last long. The complaint isn't about the product, we still need to purchase a Brita for water safety, but we need to do so in person to ensure product quality,.
Pitcher cracked less than 2 weeks
I recently started using my 6-cup Denali pitcher with Elite filter purchased to take less space. Upon reaching to pour a glass of water, I noticed a puddle of water on the counter beneath my pitcher. On closer inspection, I see a small vertical crack seeping water. The pitcher hasn't been banged or dropped. I called Brita and they are sending a replacement pitcher. It may crack as well. Meanwhile, this new pitcher is much thinner and flimsier than my 20-year old round pitcher. I'm glad I still have it!
Bye bye plastic waste...
I am no longer adding to the mountain of plastic, although I did recycle, it is still too much. This newly styled pitcher being thinner and smaller, fits well in the fridge and with the new advanced filter, it won't be a hassle replacing it! I am really impressed at how 'tasteless' my old apt. complex water is now that I run it thru the Brita system! I have one small mention to us older folks... at full capacity, 48 oz =3 lbs = use 2 hands to lift!
Great Pitcher
I bought this to replaced my old Brita pitcher. I like that the water filters through at a good pace. I hate having filters/pitcher that takes hours to fill. I like the filter light, (when the filter needs replacing), on top of the lid, it's a better design then my old Brita pitcher. I suggest measuring your refrigerator shelf, one of the Brita models made for small spaces was higher in height than this model, both were 6 cups. I didn't want to remove everything from the refrigerator shelf to change the its height.
Not long lasting as promised
while the filter works great, it hardly lasts for 2 months, as opposed to promised 6 months! it's just me using the filter and only for drinking. I'm sure my daily water intake isn't that great that I ran out of it in just 2 months! Very costly considering it'd cost close to 120 USD per year to have filtered water. might as well purchase it!
Great product 5 stars!!
My mom loves the filter. It produces good clean water and takes the chlorine taste and smell out of our city water. I absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a filter. Plus if you spend a ton of money buying bottled water I guarantee this filter will save you money and basically pays for itself.
Ideal Personal Size Filtered Pitcher
The size is great for one person, so the filtered water is always fresh %26 doesn’t take up extra space unnecessarily. The Brita Elite filter is initially more expensive (than the standard) but i think it will be more cost effective %26 efficient in the long run. Was pleased to finally catch it on sale.
Light Not Working Anymore.
I purchased this in August. The light on top of the Pitcher has stopped working. I have used/purchased the larger size Brita Pitchers, but I was keeping them out of the refrigerator because they would not fit in my refrigerator. So I purchased this smaller pitcher to keep in the refrigerator. And now the light has stopped working. It was fine the first couple of times. But since it is cold, I guess the moisture has caused it not to work. Very disappointed in this Brita product. Needless to say, this was the last purchase of a Brita product.
Easy to clean, not too bulky
This pitcher is a good size if you have a small or divided sink. It is easier to clean than the older style Brita pitchers because the opening for the filter isn't elongated. Even though it comes with a blue filter, you can still use the original white filters. The filter replacement button allows for both options. I took off a star because the flip top thumb area rotates down into the pitcher when filling, creating a possible hygeinic issue if you are not careful. Still if you need a Brita pitcher I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. It's probably my favorite of all the Brita pitchers I've used over the years.
Open spout that lets dirt in
Its very easy to set up and seems to clarify the water fine; however, I would not recommend this due to the spout being entirely open. My husband purchased this for me as a gift to replace my broken faucet filter and I was initially happy. I filled the pitcher and then noticed there is no cover or anything over the pouring spout area. This means the pitcher is basically just wide open and dust and whatever just falls right into the water. My fridge is clean but it still has food in it, obviously, so who knows what from packaging and such just falls into the opening on the pitcher. I have to put a plastic bag over it and it just feels gross. If it wasn’t a gift from someone in my own house I would return it and get a different pitcher that has something to cover the spout.
[Rewarded Review] Well built, sturdy and dependable
I purchased this particular pitcher nearly six years ago. It has been very dependable and obviously, long lasting. In the past I had owned other Brita pitchers and they also, had very long lives.

[Rewarded Review] Easy to use light weight
We bought this right after Christmas after realising our dog was not drinking as much water as he had been. Getting ready to call the vet the next day. I happened to be filling a lot of water to boil for dinner. I noticed a strong smell of mold coming from the water. I dismissed it and then again smelled the moldy smell.whem I went to do.dished that night. Called boyfriend over to smell it to see if it was simething around sink maybe or what or if he smelled it too. Thankfuly he agreed and the conection was made why our pet dog stoped drinking water. He smelled the mold well before I had.. We boiled pots of water to use as water but found it combersum to say the least..we were shoping at Target after Xmas and glad to find the 19 cup pitcher on sale. Got it for a great price that wouldn't break our right budget..didnt realise how much water we really use in a day to make ice drink cool and give our well loved pet water to drink.. The pitcher systrlem works great for us as we are in a small house with a very small kitchem with non counter space to spare. It sits on the counter and never seems to be in the way and easily in reach and a reminder to water the dog and us. Our only regret is we didn't get a system sooner. We hope to upgrade when budget allows us to but I feel safer and healthier now that we use this system pitcher 10 cup filtering system that is easy to set up and use. I cant say how relieved I am knowing my family is safe from many toxins inbthe city water and mostly from green algi Gloria which the city claims is in safe levels to drink. According to whom and how did any one find out the safe levels to drink .if it stinks Im not giving it to my pets and family members no matter what they say is safe. Brita is a company I put trust and faith into so that I have comfort knowing we are sadly drinking and useing water that's good for us all. It is one thing the body truly needs most to be healthy.cleam water. Thank you Brita for being a dependable honest company.
[Rewarded Review] Simple & Easy
I’ve had my Brita pitcher for awhile now and I really enjoy getting cold filtered water from it. I use water from my Brita multiple times a day not just for our family but our pet too! We live out from the city and get our water from a hundred year old well and it’s always been good water but at times it can be a little cloudy from too much rain. However, I trust my Brita for clean & clear water! As I said, everyday I grab the pitcher for water for cooking, making coffee, tea or Koolaid, the pets water bowl! It’s automatic for me to reach for my Brita. It’s easy to use, easy to fill, easy to change the filter. Plus it has the reminder feature to replace the filter. Also, using the Brita helps the environment. I don’t need to purchase bottles or jugs of water that sit around waiting to be used or end up in a landfill. I get refreshing cold filtered water straight from the Brita! Thanks Brita!
[Rewarded Review] Great taste, but defective lid
I bought this Brita and some filters in order to cut down on my Essentia water addiction (for both environmental and financial reasons). The taste is rather good. However, the lid to my Brita pitcher is defective. It won’t properly close. I have had multiple individuals try to get it to work, thinking I was doing something wrong. Not the case. Nobody was able to get the lid to lock in place. My mother has the same pitcher, and I have had no problem getting that lid attached. Overall, it has been a disappointment because I have to be careful that the lid doesn’t fall off and end up spilling. I would like to try one of the other models, but I am wary to do so since I bought this pitcher just two months ago...
[Rewarded Review] Love the upgrade
I brought my first Brita when they first hit the market many many years ago. Love it until i broke it. I didnt replace because the filters where pretty costly for my economical circumstances and back then I could care less about drinking water. Fast forward some decades later, I was out shopping my warehouse store to buy flavor water and I saw the Brita being advertised on the aisle shelf of the main walk through. I said I'll give it another go.
[Rewarded Review] Brita makes my tap water taste better
I’ve been a Brita user for over 20 years now and only recently searched online for your site out of sheer curiosity. I have always been pretty careful about changing filters at appropriate times, but I love the idea of you reminding me. I started using Brita to replace the disposable plastic bottles we used because our tap water never tasted good. I loved that Brita made the water palatable and I felt like I was helping the planet. I also liked that there is no plastic taste like you get from the plastic bottles. I know other brands advertise and compare themselves on multiple levels to Brita, but I never tried anything else since I was so happy with the taste. My pitchers have come with me as I relocated from different states and cities. I have to say that i really liked the long lasting filter, but sometimes they are hard to find, so mostly I stick with the 2 month regular filters. Thank you Brita for your long term good products! I really appreciate your company. PS - I am aware I am filtering only for taste because my tap water is safe & has no lead or other issues - I have had it tested everywhere I have lived. I am aware I am not filtering for anything else. :-) Another important thing- clean your pitchers regularly so you don’t get any bacterial buildup. You wouldn’t keep eating from the same used plate, so don’t think your pitcher shouldn’t get cleaned on a regular basis just because it’s holding water.
