The vent looks great, pulls air well, and most of all, IT'S SO QUIET! I hate the sound of blowing air; my husband loves to have the fan on while cooking to keep the kitchen cooler. We've finally found a fan that makes us both happy.

DOES NOT COME WITH LIGHT BULBS!!!!!!

There’s no light bulbs inside! Would be good to know. Should’ve been written outside of the box where we can actually see it! Even the Lowe”a worker did not tell me!! Checked other brands and they come with the light bulb

Easy to install by one person, the low fan speed is exceptionally quiet, while the high speed setting is extremely loud and strong. No light bulbs or charcoal filters come with it, purchased separately, which brings the cost up closer to $200. Overall, a great value.

It didn’t come with the lights.

I was not happy with this purchased. No one informs me that this product did not come with the lights. I paid for the installation and have to put in lights myself

We bought this yesterday. Upon opening the box, my husband discovered the template missing, the plug missing, the item was greasy like it had been used then returned and it also has several dents. We paid full price for this nonsense. Lowes check your returns before selling them for full price! We are waiting for the plug...once we get it I will update with the product performance.

Easy installation, parts included, no light bulbs.

To start out the box had stickers/ sku numbers for both the white and stainless steel models. It was a replacement for the 30 year old model that came with the house. It’s not as well made but it was comparable. Didn’t come with light bulbs. I did have it swapped out in about 7 minutes, though. It does come with the knockouts for square and round exhaust ducts. Not a bad product overall.

light bubs are very hard to install

I'd really like this product is installing the light bulbs were easier to install. Maybe if they had used a screw in bulb instead of a pin gu10 style bulb.

Broan over the stove hood

The hood works well. I was disappointed that it didn't come with bulbs and had to source them online. The workmen left a mess to clean up - they didn't even take the box with them.

Nice vent hood. Easy to install. A little noisy. 3 stars because right out of the box it had a significant dent on top. Disappointing, but installed anyway.

What is size of a standard vent?

Salesperson did not vet or ask if our vent was standard. And what is standard…. we learned from delivery personnel that standard vent is 7” and ours is 5”… so now we have to pay additional labor to have installer come out and retrofit.

Great hood for the price. Easy to install.

Easy to install, 2 knockout options available, 7" round or 3.25"x10" rectangular. Not Energy Star certified, but higher end version of this model is, although the light bulb type seems to be one of the only differences in the models. This one uses halogen but can be switched out, higher end model uses LED.

It's what I wanted. Simple white hood with clean appearance. I like the two screens that cover the interior and two lights. I like that it's height doesn't interfere with cooking on the back stove burners. It was harder to install than I anticipated. Definitely a two person job. Mostly picture instructions. ugh. I find it operates quietly, however, I am not able to use the dim light setting as a night light as I used to do with the under counter microwave. It's too bright as a night light.

Not complete

I have not had a chance to use this product yet--it wasn't installed until last evening, and it did not come with the two lights that were shown with the demo and on the box. I had to go out and purchase 2 lights today and am hoping they work.

I love my new above range vent. I purchased this one to replace the original one in my 1977 home. My only complaint is that if you have the lights on when turning the fan on either speed it turns the light off.

Fan is quiet

Love it, looks great! Love the 2 lights . The fan is not loud! You have to buy bulbs and charcoal filter. I think is a really nice product , Much better than the 25 yr old one I replaced! Buy it!

Not an easy install. Look at other options.

I believe it is the worst appliance we have ever purchased. The material is flimsy, the duct adapter is to short to stay inside the vent duct. It doesn't sit flush after mounting under the cabinet. The punch out for ductless allows air to stream out from the top of the hood. We haven't figured out what to do about that issue yet. It took us all day to get it in after making some modifications, in out , in out. We would have returned it, but after all the trouble getting it in we are just praying we can live with it.

I absolutely love the fan and the lights but the box says one person install and there is no way one person can install this or at least mine took two people to install. Did not come with lights and had to get them before that portion worked.

Scratched

Very disappointed to see the front scratched, which my installer didn't notice. So now it's out of the box and installed in my new kitchen with a lovely scratch to look at for the rest of my life.

Range Hood

Well I have my contractor here and the instructions are in german, and Spanish not in English at all, plus there are no light bulbs for this range hood have buy separately that's not good especially when I paid well over $235.00 it should of come with the right instruction and the light bulbs.

Not an easy installation.

Very difficult to install. Went to a Broan video for install. It was very lacking in the details. Screws that were supplied were pretty short. This might have been an easier installation if you were putting into a brand new construction. Not so easy if you are replacing a unit.
