Replaced an over the range microwave with this back to basics range hood with an exhaust. Easy install. Bought a AC plug adapter to hook it into a standard outlet. Powerful blower exhaust. Clears out the heat and steam form the oven way better than the old range top microwave exhaust did. Never going back to an over the range microwave. Went through two of them before making the switch back to the classic range hood. Glad I did.

I don't notice much elimination of cooking vapors at all. It's also very noisy. It just fills the space of the old one which was attached to our old stove. When we bought a new stove it did not have a range hood so we bought this inexpensive one. I can barely reach the switch to turn it on. The cover for the light bulb does not fit properly and always hangs down crooked. I do not recommend this product for anyone's use.

Well pleased with my range hood with light, this item goes well with my oven. It was installed by a professional recommended by Home Depot, I'm well pleased with the range hood and it was installed by a professional service person and in a timely manner.

So far the Broan hood fan has more than satisfied my expectations for a basic, economically priced range fan. It was indeed very straightforward to install as a replacement for our old hood of similar style. The fan is not the most powerful, but certainly seems strong enough to do the job, and is quieter than I expected. And I will be grateful for the included light as we get into the darker part of the year.
