While a major challenge to install (my electrician said the template was inaccurate), it is an elegant and functional piece. The controls are simple. One, 3 speeds and a timed off after 10 minutes. And light, 3 levels of brightness. And a “master off” button. Very powerful and very quiet.

Great for reno

Renovated kitchen, wanted something clean and simple, got this. It works well for us, we cook a lot. Only complaint, makes weird clicking sound when changing fan speeds.

Perfect for our small kitchen

It's been up for a month and it's so unobtrusive, I don't even notice it. But when we do use it, the one button push to turn off both the light and the fan is fabulous. I don't have to try and figure out which is which, just hit the On/Off.

works but cosmetics could improve

Just installed a week ago. The product seems to work as anticipated. I hoped it would suck a bit more than it does but it does the job better than our old cheaper model. The sides of the of the hood are not completely smooth or flush where the metal bends and this leaves sharp edges. The visible top also has a metal plate covering the hole that would be used if the fan was recirculating. You don't see unless you are super tall it but it does not look pretty. Apart from that it seems to be a good product so far.

Hood vent solution

Went from a telescopic vent to a hood vent - this was the perfect solution, easy to install and fit perfectly below a 24" cabinet. Used the plug cord kit to eliminate the need to hardwire. Having the LED lighting above my range is a big improvement and the fan motor isn't as loud as some I have used.

Excellent range hood!

This range hood looks great and functions even better than expected. It is quiet and evacuates large amounts of cooking smoke, steam and odors quickly. I really like the timer feature for the automatic fan shut down. The LED lighting is fabulous as the three settings allow you to get the brightness you need to see what your are cooking or the lower setting makes a fantastic night light. I would recommend this product as for the price point it is a great compromise between ridiculously high priced hoods that are no more efficient and the cheap box store choices that do little more than make noise and do not evacuate cooking smoke or odors.

I love this vent hood! The measurements were perfect for my space. From under the cabinet to the bottom of the hood is fewer inches than my older one. Looks a lot better! I did have an electrician install it.

The dimensions were exactly right and the unit fit perfectly. The lighting is much brighter and when put in the low position work well for a night light. The exhaust fan works as advertised and the only time you hear it is when it's operating at max. The ductwork matched the older installation so it was a simple hookup to vent outside. It's a stylish unit that I enjoy looking at.

The hood fit my needs for the price. Bought the hood as USED, the description of the condition was not accurate but the installation covered most areas of visible damage, not all installation parts was with the hood such as mounting hardware. The hood functions best on high which is noisy. It does have a nice bright light.

Best if external

Originally purchased this for a internal exhaust. Installed and to my disappointment external hardly worked. I called Broan and what service. Right away my excellent tech person Chuck helped me out. This being a newer model chuck had the engineer team check out my problem and explained to me my exhaust would drop to about 100 cfm being I could not exhaust outside. We decided to make my unit a external exhaust and with help from Chucks team they got me the ductwork I needed and wow what a difference. This unit works great and looks great. A little of a hassle putting in the ductwork myself but after using what they gave me made this a successful install. Thank you so much for your help.
