it is well designed and made - although when i first tried to attach the glass under the hood it seemed that either the diameter of the glass lip was too small or the rear mounting clips were too short and i could not understand how to attach the glass enclosure... other reviewers apparently had similar issues, but then after looking at it more closely i realized there are TWO upper lips, not just one - a smaller diameter lip at the TOP for the adjusting screw and a larger diameter lip just below that the two rear mounting clips fit under... so to attach the glass enclosure simply fit the two rear mounting clips UNDER the LOWER lip (the two clips are then visible if you look up under the inside of the hood), and then tighten the outer locking screw (visible in Home Essentials Direct photo) under the UPPER lip (and the screw cannot be seen looking up under the inside of the hood)... no plastic parts - the hood and wall mount are metal (although for some reason the metal hood and wall mount look like plastic up close) and the lower enclosure around the bulb is FROSTED GLASS like in the Home Essentials Direct image (with no opening on the bottom for bugs to crawl into - one reviewer reported it was easy to replace the bulb by just reaching up through the bottom of the glass - but there is NO OPENING IN THE BOTTOM OF THE GLASS, so to replace the bulb you simply unscrew the outer locking screw and lower the glass to replace the bulb)... the upper hood over the glass enclosure is all one piece so there is no way for water to leak into the bulb area unless water is somehow sprayed up under the hood... i'm putting in an 8 watt LED bulb with a photosensor (Westek SW103CT Outdoor Swivel Photo Control - $8.92 Home Essentials Direct) screwed into the top of the round junction-box that the light attaches to on the wall to make it an inexpensive yet dependable Dusk-to-Dawn light...
