Great product!
Power washed my 20+ year old deck and stained with Cabot Solid Color Acrylic Siding Stain in early spring. I've gotten SO many compliments. I used the Cordovan Brown. It is a deep, rich color and made all of the boards (mostly old but some new) all match. That's a big deal to me.
this product is very good to apply good finish
i use this product very good product .durable, protective
NOBLE Prize for Paint - this would win!!
I am a 65 year old woman- I used this on my deck; so Easy, so Beautiful!! I am hooked on Cabot. It is like a brand-new deck, gorgeous. Thank you Cabot.
2x4 Bench
I sprayed this on a bench project, This is awesome stain.
Amazing coverage, instant transformation!👏🏻👏🏻
I read a lot of reviews from real people- not AI l- and we decided to put on a fresh new suit on a hobo of a deck. WOW! The mission brown solid provides absolutely amazing coverage, and is a rich, gorgeous, complimentary color. We loved the results on the front deck that we can’t wait to tackle the back deck. Never thought those words would escape my lips, but it looks so good!
Great Stain
I’ve always used this and had great results over the past 7 years.
Not worth the money!!
We had this product put on our deck after doing a remodel and extending our deck and the product started to peel and there's sap coming up through it plus the color, we thought we were getting was supposed to be a dark brown but looks more like a plum color.
The best hands down
I used this on my deck I was impressed with the ease of application and the outstanding quality and look afterwards.
Good Product
I like this stain. It spreads nice, adheres quickly, and looks great... However; solid stains and decks are not great partners. Decks take a beating in the sun and rain and therefore, require continued maintenance... If you have a new deck, I suggest a semi-solid oil the first year in your choice of color... Then, every year or two after, (depending on where you live and the elements your deck is subject to,) I would follow it up with a clear oil thereafter. This way the pigment doesn't build up and you still maintain your color... BUT, should you have an old deck, or one you previous used a solid stain on... This product might just be for you. Just make certain you do continued maintenance... Again, decks take a beating and aren't always constructed correctly from the beginning. They require a lot of work; especially the flat areas like rails and all walking surfaces... And if you really want a deck that will last. Cover it. Sitting out on a hot deck isn't much fun anyway... but again, for what it is. I like this product.
Great Product
We purchase a year ago and the deck still looks great. We need to touch up a few spots otherwise it still looks good.
Beautiful color and easy application
My deck is so large that I was afraid it would be difficult to stain. The color and easy application of the Cabot stain was wonderful in that it has protected my deck for two years.
Dark brick
Cabot stain is the only one that has lasted very well. All the other ones have needed redoing every year. I am getting three to four years out of Cabot!
Great coverage! Tough finish when dry- like nails!
I have bought 4- 5 gallons of solid color stain. Colors: Federal Blue and Frontier. Spreads great with very tough finish when dried and easy to clean up. I have used the decking stain and the siding and fence stain. Would buy it again.
Quality paint
Terriffic coverage from this product
Looks good at first, doesn't last.
I bought this stain in both white and grey for my deck as well as a competitor brand. The Cabot branded stain has failed and is peeling in a number of places where the other brand has not. All the wood was sanded and prepped to accept the stain. 3 coats were applied to achieve satisfactory coverage. It looked great at first, but 2 years in and it looks terrible. Leaves and dirt also leave marks on it that are difficult to clean off.
Cabot Deck paint is Terrible - Does not Hold up
Very Disappointed by Cabot's Solid Color Acrylic Stain and Sealer. Purchased 4 cans in two colors: Gray for the deck floor and White for the deck railing. The gray has held up HOWEVER the white color stain has been a mess. Check out several photos of our deck railing. We scrubbed and sanded our deck boards and rails, prepped and painted them last year. Since then the white paint has cracked and chipped off in several places. Purchased Cabot paint and applicator tools to make sure we applied it properly. Feel like there should be a refund for the white color stain cans because it does hold up as promised. Very disappointed. Do not waste your time or money on Cabot products! I won't ever again.
Terrible product that discolors and peels
We replaced all of the wood on our deck and waited 12 months for it to age before purchasing this product. We power washed the deck and allowed it to dry over several days. The product is more like watery, thin paint than stain. Within 6 months, several boards began to discolor as if mildewed and others were peeling. We have done several touch-ups on the peeling sections, but the peeling continues thoughout. This deck does not see a lot of traffic, so the deterioration is baffling. We had selected this product for the cured new wood over the semi-transparent product due to the enhanced UV protection for its sunny location, but now it is too late to go back and apply a new stain without a time-consuming removal effort. We have used the oil-based Cabot semi-transparent stain/sealer with good results on other decks in the past and were pleased with the results. We regret our decision to try the Solid because it is a terrible product that will be more costly to remove than the original cost of application.
tHE ONLY IMPROVEMENT WOULD BE A SPOUT OR ADAPTER
Excellent Results Deck Restoration Work
My Customer showed really happy after finish deck restoration work in his deck usin Cabot solid acrylic Stain and sealer (New Redwood)
Love it!
My husband and I researched several products and decided to use the Deck Correct. We power washed first and allowed it to dry completely before jumping into our weekend project. We both love how easy it brushed on and how well it covered the surface. We even used it on the grandkids rock climbing wall and fort swingset. Choosing a combination of the Slate and Canyon, we are loving how it turned out. Some stated that the slate was blue, but I can tell you that after completely drying it looks just like the slate tile we have on our indoor steps.
