Constantly receiving compliments!

We love our Cafe appliances! We purchased the gas stove, dishes and refrigerator. We renovated our kitchen, made major changes but the main thing guests mention they love is our appliances!

Thoughtfully designed

Well organized layout, easy to see everything at once in the refrigerator. The pull out drawer is a game changer for snacks and wine storage.

Statement Appliance

I’m obsessed with this fridge! It’s gorgeous in my kitchen remodel and the features make it so functional. It’s designed in a way where I can keep things better organized and therefore got more! I especially love the center compartment for snacks and drinks. Being able to access the settings via the app is also really helpful. I’ve only had it a short time, but my husband and I are really impressed so far!

Great refrigerator

We purchased this refrigerator in August 2024. This is our first French door and we love it. The upper part is very spacious. We use the Middle drawer for food prep and snacks. The freezer has two drawers within it. We chose the outside water dispenser. It does make less ice than our old side by side but it is enough for us. I especially like the smart feature so I know if temperature changes.

Expensive but breaks

The handles continue to fall off from freezer and refrigerator. This should not happen with the line of appliances.

Still deciding

Just got fridge delivered today. Seems to be taking a long time to cool. Did not get an owners manual with the appliance

Not Sure What To Think

Our originally purchased refrigerator had to be replaced following multiple service visits and replacement parts. Our new unit works well but was installed with a twisted seal on the right-side French door and we had to make yet another service call.

GE - Cafe - Unreliable and Lack of GE Support

I’m very disappointed with the GE Café Refrigerator (Model CVE28DP2NBS1). Within two years, the compressor failed twice. GE replaced the compressor the first time, but it broke again within 3 months. After the second breakdown, they only offered a small discount on a new unit instead of a replacement for the refrigerator. They expect us to BUY a new refrigerator within 2 years of a HIGH END CAFÉ Purchase. For a high-end model, this lack of durability and support is unacceptable. Compressor issues are apparently common with this line, so I expected GE to take responsibility. Sadly, I can’t recommend this refrigerator if you’re looking for reliability and value.

What a stunning refrigerator. I fell in love when I opened the doors in the back lit LED showcase my food.

Learning curve

It’s a beautiful refrigerator. It is a learning curve using the different drawers. The water dispenser is so nice and easy! The ice cubes are smaller than what we’ve had in the past.

Its pretty, nothing else is good about it

within 18 months, the ice maker fails and the main fan fails. In the next 14months, the fan fails again- 2 times, motherboard fails 2 times, a control board fails once, compressor fails 2 times, messages state incorrect information (like the freezer is over 20F, but its not or the ice maker is full & it is completely empty) plus, we lost over 1k in food & medicine.

Avoid due to poor craftsmanship.

Best Configured Frederator Eva'

Absolutely love this refrigerator! it is beautiful and has so much more space than any previous fridge we have had. Features are amazing; best freezer organocation, it has 3 sections. The large bottom drawer which is nice and deep; a pizza box drawer or a nice drawer to make ahead meals or apps for parties; and then another drawer that will store small to medium size items. There is also a drawer just under the fridge doors which will keep ice cream scoopable; soft drinks, water, wine, etc, store breads for freshness etc. just love it!!! very expensive, but i am worth it!

More than a frig!

Not only does this refrigerator work great but it is beautiful both inside and outside.
