Stunning Cafe Refrigerator

We are an all GE kitchen household. After 25 years, our GE Profile refrigerator died. Our new Cafe refrigerator looks stunning in our kitchen.I I love the alarm that signals when the door is ajar. I am glad we chose this counter depth appliance it fits perfectly in our kitchen.

Lost A Freezer Full In NEW CAFE

NEW (4 months old) CAFE Smart French Door Refrigerator has failed in performance miserably. Ice in the freezer and followed online technical support to remedy the ice in freezer, NO help. 9/13/24 we awoke to find the entire freezer contents thawed. Freezer tightly closed, no alarm! All that followed from GE and their subcontractors was a comedy of errors in service. Multiple appointments/cancellations. Too many to list! GE tech said that even the tiniest leak in freezer will thaw everything.

Cafe Symbol

I just received my new GE CAFE refrigerator and the cafe symbol on the freezer door handle is damaged. Some of the color is off.

Just received my new refrigerator today. The freezer door CAFE handle symbol is discolored.

Attractive and spacious

More spacious than I thought it would be, especially compared to our old side by side. The brushed stainless doesn’t hold fingerprints and is very attractive with our dark wood cabinets.

Did not receive refrigerator as displayed with bronze handles. This is deceptive and false advertising. Would like to receive the bronze handles or compensation. #3986187442

Love it, we just upgrade from GE profile to the cafe appliances and couldn’t be happier, is fancy everything works well, and I can now have my tea ready when I wake up. Wouldn’t change to any other brand

The Cafe 22.2 cu. ft. Smart French Door Refrigerator with Hot Water Dispenser in Matte Black is satisfactory in performance. We are having issues with ICE forming on the right side of the freezer drawer, We cannot explain the cause. It is an attractive unit and appears to be well made. The need to open both refrigerator doors to access contents of refrigerator drawers is not convenient. Water from dispenser is not always cool or cold. We are generally pleased, but the ICE forming in the bottom freezer is a concern. Initial delivery was a disaster. The delivery man forgot to turn off water before disconnecting water line and a gallon or more of water went all over the floor. The Re-Visit follow up delivery scheduled through Pro X was MUCH BETTER and FIRST CLASS. THANK YOU ProX! The Daphne, Alabama store was not help in rectifying the initial delivery problems.

Stay far away from this brand

We bought this refrigerator 5 weeks ago and have yet to be able to use it. It arrived with a leak in a tube and wouldn't cool. It took 1 week for a repair person to come and 2 days to repair. The following week, the compressor broke! My family has been waiting for GE to deliver a new compressor (which there are apparently 3 in stock) to the repairman for 4 weeks!! We have spent approximately $550 on ice trying to keep our food chilled. Hundreds of dollars has been wasted on spoiled food. Dozens of hours on the phone with GE and the repair person. We ended up sourcing the compressor for GE ourselves (a simple Google search) because they were unable to do find the compressor themselves. Leaking water has ruined our hardwood floors. Imagine not having a refrigerator for your family for 5 weeks. This has been the most horrendous experience. We do not recommend this brand for both the quality of their products and their incompetence to provide customer service and communicate with their staff. We will not be buying from them again.

Beautiful look and features. I had the same model in SS for 11 years and changed all my appliances over to matte black with brushed gold handles.

Love the Smart Counter-Depth French-Door Refrigerator with Hot Water Dispenser. Love how it fits in the area leaving a greater walkway. A lot of room and storage! Freezer area is great, would like to see the drawer opening more, it’s a little tight. Love the lighting, can see in all corners! Great storage in the doors! Ice make produces enough ice for our high demand!

Lights already out in less than a year

I’ve owned this less than a year and some of the interior lights are burned out already. Ice does not come out well from the door dispenser

Very Posh Looking!

Love the look of my Cafe refrigerator in black matte! No fingerprints left of the outside with ease of cleaning! When I open the doors the lighting is great, so much room for all of my groceries. Love the storage in the doors with the non-slip padding. The ice comes out readily and keeps up with my needs! The freezer compartment is spacious and handles my needs. I’ve really enjoyed the entire package, has a look of high end quality! Because I’ve enjoyed the refrigerator so much I’ve ordered the stove and microwave.

I would not buy this refrigerator

I have owned this fridge for over a month. I have had 2 service calls with GE. Both doors need to be replaced. One do to a ding upon delivery, the other due to water leakage from fridge due to it not being sealed correctly. Also, the drawers in the refrigerator need to be replaced. They are crooked. It is amazing how these appliances are made today. I think there should be lemon laws for all appliance manufactures. They are total garbage!

Love my fridge. It looks so classy and elegant! I went with the rose gold handles and matte black fringe. I love it!

Hot water

I haven’t had our new fridge long, it is beautiful on the outside and inside, very cold and I love the hot water feature I didn’t think I would use, but I do!
