Won't whistle for me, my power not high enough, but it is so much nicer to use than my old plug in hot pot.

Per instructions, I washed the kettle, inside and out, with soap and water. The inner circumference at the inside bottom surface had a seam where the base meets the sides. Each time I dried the water in the seam with a clean paper towel, the water was black! No matter how many times I washed, rinsed and dried the kettle, that inside bottom seam turned paper towel black! Wistle, a critical safety feature, didn’t work well. Item was cheaply made. Exact kettle sells for significantly Less at other online stores, including the other big box hardware store. Returned item to Home Depot. Read negative reviews before you purchase this.

the metal is so thin, when gets hot it will melt like 'heavy duty aluminum foil" the other reviewer is correct; it also melts- starting with the carcinogenic plastic components when it reaches boiling. carcinogenic means its very likely to cause cancer. - only slowly. I am not waiting long enough to experiment this way on my family. Incidentally; this isnt normal 'stainless steel". Upon examination from a friend working in a lab, this 'product' is full of chemical additives - its concerning.
