Very sharp knives!

I needed some good sharp knives and thought I'd try these out. I have other brands that haven't worked out so well...and I have a bread knife that I've had for years (15) and it is still so sharp. I looked at the handle and saw that it was a Chicago cutlery knife. So I ordered these hoping they would last as long as my bread knife...that is still VERY SHARP!!

Haven't had them very long but working perfectly so far!! Bought 2 extra sets because I was so impressed. I cut up sweet potatoes often and this really does most of the work for me.

chicago 3 knife set

I needed the 4-1/2 inch knife - the only way to get it was buy the whole set. I would say, compared to my existing - that these are sharp and comfortable. I like a heavy knife. These are not heavy. But they'll get the job done, especially cutting up turnips.

Very pleased with Chicago Cutlery

I’m always impressed with Chicago Cutlery. Mine is so old I can’t even recall when/where I bought the set. I only wanted a new Essentials Paring Knife, but to get a matching knife I had to order the set of 3 knives. I felt the price was good for the quality I received. Just wish I could get an individual knife, not a set, my old ones are still sharp!

I'm quite happy with these knives.

I have had these knives for four months now and I have to say they are very good. I keep them in their plastic sleeves between uses and I wipe them dry after I was them, as leaving them wet causes them to develop water spots and rust spots. They've held up quite well and I have yet need to sharpen them. I am not a heavy duty user, I use them for simple things in the kitchen and they are nice and sharp. I use a wooden cutting board as this helps to keep them sharp. Using harder cutting boards causes knives to blunt easily.
