This fan is lightweight and quiet. Seems pretty sturdy even thought it's plastic. I would buy it again.

Happy with the fan. SUPER QUIET. If you want a fan to sleep with, this is the one. Gives a decent breeze and no loud noise from it. Plug and play, no set up, assembly required.

Pass on this fan!

I would definitely pass on this fan. Lasko is a good brand that I have trusted in the past and have other fans from this company with no problems.

poor quality

We have an old Lasko desk fan that we've been using for about 5 years now that is still terrific, so we bought a 2nd one a couple of months ago for our small office to circulate the air. The newer one is very disappointing, very poor quality. The speed fluctuates weirdly, maybe this item is defective.

Great QUIET little fans that push enough air

Mostly these are very quiet fans. Good in warm weather when a little breeze on your body while watching TV or sleeping, makes all the difference in the world. They don't blow a LOT of air like other fans of this type but they are nicely quiet.

makes way too much noise rattling and screeching

It seemed to be a good idea for a small bedroom...sometimes it can blow alot of air IF the fan cage is perfectly straight up and down. Only then can the blades go fast. If you tilt it to any other angle then the blades slow way down :( The worst thing about this fan is the rattling screeching noise. I have taken it apart and cleaned, oiled etc and still it screams and rattles... I can't take it anymore. There is some issue with the bearings which cannot be removed and replaced ....I am done with this fan. Too bad...it is kid safe with the cage and inexpensive.

:) :) :)

Got a couple of these for my auntie who's quite a warm person (literally, and figuratively :) too)! Also, her apartment tends to be really warm. She's happy with these fans--says they move a good amount of air and help her cool down, are: reasonably quiet, lightweight/easy to move from one room to another, good for being more comfortable for sleeping.

Powerful but Quiet!

This is honestly almost too powerful to use as a desk fan, unless you have a really large desk. My fan sits about 2 1/2 feet away (and that's as far back as it can go), so I angle it toward the ceiling and let the cool air drop down - I still get the cooling that I need. The fan is very quiet, a major plus! The dimensions are misleading, unless I'm reading them wrong (a possibility, I won't lie!), the length is 12.25" across and the depth front-to-back is 5.31".

Like others mine started having reduced airflow after 6 months or so. The fan grates are large so there wasnt any dust buildup. And I could see a little on the blades. I took it apart. 2 screws and you have to undo the side knobs and pop it out of the stand as well. There was still no airflow. Weird. I cleaned the blades. No airflow. Then I removed the blades. Its just a friction fit. So a firm pull did the trick. After pushing it back on I have airflow again! I noticed when I had it apart that the blade was wobbling a fair bit. It still does a little, but my really strong airflow is back! Now Im going back to sleep. Good luck. Ymmv.

The fan did not move very much air. I could stand 6 feet away from the fan and felt no moving air.I realize it is a smaller fan but the description said that it would help cool a small room. If it didn't move the air six feet away, how will it help cool even a small home office space?I ended up buying a box fan that did the job, except it is a bit noisy, which is the reason a purchased the Lasko fan at first.

The Blades Spin, the Fan Works - Poorly!

It must be the design of the blades, the fan blows no air that you can feel. What a waste of money I spent - $17 or more. For the same money I could have had a box fan. Box fans move air. Thus fan is nearly useless. I was expecting this fan to perform like the Lasko fan that I have at work, same size, but that fan moves some air. Not thus fan.

Great little fan. Powerful enough to set away from you if desired and also adjustable up & down. Have had this fan for several months now with no problems. Larger Lasko fans have always worked great for me so I trusted this small version. Glad I did!

This fan is good to have on a desk right next to you but theres no way this can cool a small room. Its very flimsy and slides across the table or counter unless you anchor it somehow. You cant adjust it because no matter what position you put it in it reverts back to the previous one. It is super quiet, yes, but produces very little airflow. Ive bought somewhat larger fans for the same price that did actually cool a room. Keeping it because we threw away the box and packing but I wouldnt recommend it.

It's nice to have a color match.... And the lasko brand might be my favorite among fans. This one is kind of small but you know it does help. It makes a good kitchen counter fan or sizable desk fan but I wouldn't expect to be cooled by it alone on a very hot day. It has 3 settings and the top one could be more robust but it wasn't misleading, or, it's matched my expectations of small-ish fans.

Works well but started rattling while oscillating

I love this heater and it runs quietly while remaining still. During the first few days of use, it oscillated quietly; however, after about a week it makes a rattling sound during oscillation (once it goes the farthest it can go, it makes the noise as it turns the opposite direction and then the noise goes away until it reaches the farthest it can go/turns again).

Mine is the Black 10 model. It only has 2 speeds and I wish there was a third that was even milder than the low setting. Even on low it will push air about 4-5'. When put on my kitchen table, it does hum a bit as it vibrates thru the wood. Putting it on a plastic table mat seems to reduce this. Overall it's fairly quiet, but I notice after a few hours of running it there seems to be a small whirring noise that I only hear from the side. Also, if you try to aim the fan down, it seems that the air eventually pushes the fan back to a "neutral" horizontal position over a few minutes.

GREAT HEATER FOR LOW PRICE!

I used this heater in my bedroom in Florida and was very satisfied. A friend then purchased one at the same sale price. I am now in New Jersey in the winter and am purchasing it again for my bedroom. I am getting the one with remote control this time.

I've had the Breeze Machine for over 10 years now. This is a great fan to set on a desk and you are able to direct the air wherever you wish for it to go. It's lightweight and portable, and the speed selector on the back of the fan is easy to operate without having to feel around for the knob, which makes it great for sleeping with at night and then reaching over while you're half asleep if you get too cold to sleep with it on. I suppose this would be easy to travel with as well, as you could just put it in a suitcase and unpack it once you get to where you're going. It's a very quiet fan, especially on the lower speed setting. It has a modern design and there are two colors available (black or bronze, I have the black one) and it will fit into your decor. This would also be a great fan to keep on your kitchen counter while you're cooking, as its modern design won't be an eyesore in your kitchen.
