I purchased this model to replace an older version Culligan filter. This was easy to install and I like the way the filters change now. Also the plastic tubing was larger diameter than the old one so the water coming out of the filter had more volume. I really like it and it was easy to switch out.

Culligan under-sink water filter US-DC3

I wanted to use this filter to send filtered water to by refrigerator via the supply line under my sink. This has increased my water flow to the fridge water dispenser / ice maker because the filter in the fridge has such small water connectors. I took that filter out of the fridge and am sending Culligan-purified water to the fridge via the water supply line. I used two John Guest

Water tastes great. Installation fittings could be more extensive. I had to go to the hardware store to finish installation.

[Rewarded Review] Easy to install. Easy to use.

This filter is so easy to install that you don’t even have to really mount the bracket if you choose. The filter itself has a flat bottom and is heavy enough to stand on its own. If you do want to mount the bracket it’s just two screws.

[Rewarded Review] Easy install clean water!

Extremely easy and simple to install, only took a matter of minutes. The included bypass connector makes it easy to screw right into your existing supply and your faucet to interrupt the flow with the filter. The filter was easy to mount and feels very sturdy. The hosing is simple push to connect fittings that are very secure once in place. The filter works great and the water tastes good!

[Rewarded Review] Nice quality, Easy to install and improved the taste of our well water

Our family vacation cottage has well water. Saw the Culligan Direct-connect Under-sink Drinking Water Filtration System and after reading decided it would be a nice addition to our kitchen sink cold water line. It came with everything we needed to install it quickly under our kitchen sink. Things I really liked about the filter… Quick and straightforward installation, nice quality, it did quite noticeably improve the taste of our well water and is very easy to change out filter when needed. Nice that the filter should last a year under normal use…

[Rewarded Review] Compact!

This little Culligan water filtration system is so small and easy to fit under your kitchen sink. I thought I would have to have a plumber install this filter, but I was able to do it myself. Even with the big mess I have, I was able to finagle it into place. If I can do it, you can very quickly. There are only a couple of pieces and the two hoses, no big whoop. The directions are simple and easy to understand. I found the white connector screwed in very well, no drama. My only problem was having enough room for the device, the filter bottle and the very stiff hoses to be installed. That took a little doing on my part, I recommend you get a task light to see under the sink. But I got 'er done. Just make sure the hoses are pushed in well on both ends. No leaks! Yay, finally a filter to strain sediment from this well water. Recommended.

[Rewarded Review] No special tap required!

Culligan is known for clean water treatments. This unit you can have installed in 10 minutes or so. This filter utilizes your existing faucet to bring water filtered from lead, microbial cysts, bad taste and odor, chlorine taste. It's great for city or well water. Once installed just turn on your cold water and have clean water for drinking and cooking.

[Rewarded Review] Easy to install and lasts a whole year!

This was a breeze to install and only took me 30 minutes following the instructions. Just close your water valve, HAND-TIGHTEN their valve and the supply line on, then after pre-drilling 2 holes in a hard surface pop on the bracket with the 2 provided screws, pop in the quick connect lines as show in the diagram, and twist in the filter clockwise. Test for leaks and let the water run for 10 minutes before using. I did find one typo in the directions; it tells you to drill the holes 2 15/16" but the 1 is accidental,I did 2 3/8". This does happen to be the only filter from the direct connect series which takes out lead. Culligan does make other ones in their standard and EZ change series if you're looking for more like mercury and VOC's but you will have to change them out way more often. This one lasts a year and will process nearly 5,000 gallons! The best ones are rated at .5 microns which is quite impressive.

[Rewarded Review] Filtered cold water right at the tap!

We picked up this unit for a second property in Florida that doesn’t have the option to easily add an RO tap at the kitchen sink. This until goes directly in the line with the cold tap so all the cold water coming through the tap will be filtered for when we drink water or fill our coffee pot in the morning. It arrived late and missed our trip out, so we’ll be doing the install then end of February this year. Everything is included in the box, minus the two screws to mount the unit on the wall. We probably grab an extra filter to bring out so we can change it every year or so. (Uses filter US-DC3-R) The filter is a simple twist to lock in place or remove so make sure you mount the bracket firmly to the cabinet under the sink on install. The pressure hoses should work just fine for this installation that are included. The length is good on those hoses as well to give you mounting options for the installation. I would recommend this in a situation like ours were you don’t want to drill through the current granite countertop for dedicated RO tap.

[Rewarded Review] Very convenient to use.

I got this mainly for removing sediment from the water that plugs our faucet from time to time. There’s other options out there that has cheaper filter replacements, but they are of the canister type that is a little harder to change. This set up is similar to what you would have on your refrigerator. To remove, you turn counterclockwise about 10 degrees and it will then drop down for removal. The water shuts off automatically, no worries about turning the water off. Then you insert the new cartridge and turn clockwise until it stops and you’re done. A two minute process. It does take more materials to make this filter because it has the housing on it and you don’t get to see what you filtered out. But you don’t have the worries of turning the water off and on. No worries about “Did I get the housing tight enough to not leak.” No worries about “Do I need a new ‘O’ ring for the housing?” No worries about getting the canister cleaned out. And, no worries about where you put the wrench to get the canister on and off with. There are multiple different filter options as well. The one I got removes chlorine as well as sediment. There are ones that remove sediment only, ones that are charcoal based and there are ones that removes microorganisms as well. The kit comes with the base, a cartridge, two plastic hoses and fittings to connect the water with. The piece that connects into the sink plumbing is 3/8” where as my sink set up is 1/2” so I had to use a different fitting to connect the hoses with. That was the only issue I ran across. If you use the charcoal filter, you’ll want to run some water before you grab a glass for a drink, because there will be a small amount of charcoal dust that will come through at the start. This is normal and actually won’t harm you, but I would still run a gallon or so of water to clear it out. It is a very nice setup, from a reputable company. This is designed as a sink filter and not a whole house filter, so if you try to use it on the whole house, you’ll experience a couple things: reduced water flow at some fixtures since the hose is small, plus a shorter filter life because of the volume of water you would be running through it. So if you use it as designed you’ll have good service.

[Rewarded Review] No need to chance having chemicals and sediment in your drinking water when you can install this filter in minutes

Even though our well water is very good quality, we get some sediment and discoloration of fixtures. I chose this filter unit for its simplicity. Any DIYer who can change a faucet will have no problem installing this unit. Using the supplied connector, just Screw it in place above the valve, press the supply line tubes in the filter housing and the connector, and turn the water back on. Mount the bracket and it is done. Cleaner water is well worth the little time it takes to install this filter!

[Rewarded Review] Culligan Under Sink Filter

I needed to replace my existing under sink drinking water filter. The Culligan water filtration system with advanced filtration was an easy replacement. The Culligan filter came with an adapter, however, as I was replacing my old filter, I needed to purchase two 1/4 inch OD by 3/8 inch OD push to connect couplings. Once I had the adapters, I only need to insert two short 3/8 OD plastic pipe into the filter and attached the two 1/4 inch OD pipes to the couplings. The filter base used the same two screw hangers and the filer simply twist into the base. Once it was all connected I checked for leaks and found none. You should run a few gallons of water through the filter before using it for drinking to clear out he air.

[Rewarded Review] easy to install, good for a basic filter

Good for a basic filter. You're not getting reverse osmosis or UV features with this, so as long as you understand that and have the right expectations, you'll be fine. The filter is a tad pricey but most filters are. Super easy to install since you only need 2 screws for the bracket and then the rest is plug and play. easy to remove the hose by just pushing the tab in as well.

[Rewarded Review] Nice whole house / under sink filter

This is a nice compact filter that can be mounted anywhere a filter is needed. The filter comes with a fitting to tap in to a cold water line then hook up the tubing to the filter. The filter is a quarter turn attachment point into the filter head. This is a nice compact water filter that can clean up water for drinking or just to clean water up for other uses.

[Rewarded Review] Culligan Direct-connect Under-sink Drinking Water Filtration System .

I just got the Culligan Direct-connect Under-sink Water Filtration System, and I think it’s really a great thing. It’s really just what I needed for the taste problems with the water in the house, it takes away the whole bleach taste that the water has everywhere you go these days, because of the things that they are putting into our water. It makes it really taste good! It’s kinda like the well water that we used to have in our houses. It’s really probably one of the best things that I’ve ever done for my family. And I really like the fact that I can change the filter so easily, in less than a minute, it’s really going to be a very nice addition to our lives and our home.
