NOT hardwood safe

While this rug pad claims to be compatible with hardwood floors, it is not! We used this in an office, and after a few months of use we rearranged the furniture. I was horrified to find that the rug pad left markings all over my floors. The rubber pattern on the rug pad can now be seen in the finish of my floors. Do NOT buy for hardwood floors!

Packaged well. Very easy to trim. Worked well. Not as thick as the next grade up but was perfect for the bedroom. This premium rug pad is also good for runners or small rugs. I would recommend purchasing a thicker pad for a family/living room area rug.

[Rewarded Review] Different in a good way but not same size as carpet

Quality is good. Material is different than the woven pattern rubber carpet underpad. It works well to keep the carpet topper in place. After a week, it is still slightly larger than the carpet. Showing on all edges. Carpet is not yet 100% flat so I’m waiting for it to magically fit. You can see from picture that pad is showing about 1/4 inch on both sides under carpet.

we bought from Rugs USA a few years back, and we were thrilled with both the quality of the rug and the thickness of the rug pad. This time, the rug was thin and low pile (though they should have been the same as what we'd bought before), and the rug pad was not premium. It feels barely thicker than the regular one that is just rubber to keep it from slipping around. Would not recommend and probably won't buy here again. Also it was the wrong size for the rug so that we had to cut a huge strip off so it fit under the rug.

The rug pad itself is fine. I called less than 10 minutes after my order to change the pad size and was told there were no returns. This is not clear on the website. Very disappointing because now I have a pad that is the wrong size. I will be purchasing somewhere else in the future

[Rewarded Review] Comfy, a bit oversized and dirty?

Really feels good under the feet. But was almost the exact size of the 9x12 rug we bought, meaning it's near impossible to hide it under the rug. Seems like a mistake. Also had lots of debris and stuff on it when we unfurled. Vacuuming only helped so much. Outtasight, outtamind, but not clear why it was so dirty. Overall, it does its job great though!

Not sure what is premium about it. I thought the rug pads purpose was to prevent the rug from sliding across the hardwood while adding some extra cushion, but it does neither. The rug still slides and the pad is so thin it doesn’t add any extra comfort. It looks like recycled paper, and I had to cut it myself to fit the size of my rug. I fell for the scam, so bravo RUGS USA you win.

[Rewarded Review] Rug and pad not what I expected

I thought I was getting a washable rug. I guess it’s on me for not realizing that, but then this rug pad was offered for additional money and the rug doesn’t even stick to it! The rug slides off of the pad. They are not even compatible, so the pad is showing constantly and makes more of a slipping hazard. Plus, I had to cut a ton off to fit underneath. It’s a complete rip off in my opinion. Waste of money!

[Rewarded Review] Way Too Thin

I was so surprised at how paper thin this is, like a sheet of heavy cotton fabric. I should have called to confirm the thickness, but I was a little deceived by the word PREMIUM. It is so lightweight that it would blow away in the breeze, and it certainly gets no traction on the floor. We unfolded the 9x12 sheet of rug pad, and then attempted to unroll the 9x12 sisal rug on top of it. The only way it would work would be to use double sided tape so it sticks to the wood floor. I returned it and ordered a 1/2" think rug pad that worked beautifully. I was charged an extra $19 to return it.

Really like this pad

The size was great for our rug. We had plenty to trim down to fit our rug. Only downside is we underestimated the depth of pad we should get. If you plan to be on the ground say with your pets or kids make sure to get the thicker version like recommended. The company really does suggest well.

[Rewarded Review] Not described well, do not recommend, not a fan

The pad I ordered is just a sheet. I really thought I had ordered a decent pad. It does not connect to the rug. The rug doesn’t hold. It’s more like a faux or blanket with roughness on one side. I gave up on the pad but I had difficult getting it under my furniture. It is soft but I feel like I’m going to fall even with bare feet. This is not a rug for a room that will be used. If it gets dirty I must throw away. There is not a washing machine big enough that wouldn’t cost $100 to wash. Someone may love but I’m very happy with it. Not a fan. It took me hours to get in place and it still looks lumpy. It’s going away especially almost rally on it. It’s too heavy to try and mail back. Rug ‘pad’ is dumped on a wagon in my kitchen to be trashed. I had difficulty thinking it was the right size. I changed the direction but it still didn’t line up. It might have been the texture of the rug and the same reason it doesn’t seem to lie flat. I’m sooooo disappointed that I spent precious money on this rug. I’ve already order another rug from another site. Maybe it’s clear to others that this is faux fur but not me. I think the label on it says mink. That’s what it feels like so it’s difficult to manipulated and hazardous to walk on it.

[Rewarded Review] Worth the splurge

Full transparency, I considered getting a pad off Amazon but worried it would ruin the overall experience of the rug I purchased. I’m so glad I sprung for the premium rug pad. With 2 dogs, our living room is an active place for our family and this pad keeps our 9x12 Rugs USA rug in place, while adding an amazing cushion.

Never have I been so disappointed. Cannot get wrinkles out. Called support and they act advised me to try and steam iron them out or put the rug in the sun for 12 hours. Really? Returning both pieces sadly because I love the rug.
