It was very easy to take apart and install wiring then put back together. It is strong. Worth the money.

ELPRP 30 amp 125-volt/250-volt NEMA L14-30p. The plug itself was fine delivery was the problem. It was one thing then another and the plug finally came. It's alright 'cause I wasn't in a hurry but if I was it would have been. Something to keep in mind though.

Price is right, but you get one try to wire it

This product’s design makes it almost impossible to re-use. 10 gauge (30 Amp) stranded wires barely fit in the holes in the plug. After they are inserted, they're held in place by a retaining nut and screw. If the screw is loosened to remove a wire, it’s supposed to turn only far enough to free the wire. However, this doesn’t work about half the time. If retaining nut falls off that screw it’s game over,

Poor design

Pro tip: buy the Eaton L14-30P instead, it's much higher quality. These are fussy to assemble. The captive nut slipped off one of the screws, you have to trim the exposed wires very short or the clamp will not grab the jacket of the cord--this makes it much harder to assemble. The rubber gasket on a thick cord like 10/4 is impossible to slide into position and the plastic retaining plate keeps popping out which compromises the water resistance. The wire clamp is also tricky to install.

I can't speak to longevity or stability of the contact material but it works, seems well made and is a bargain for what I paid for it.

Good budget priced connector.

I needed just this one connector for a generator I purchased. I had an old pigtail, with standard flat-blade 220v plug, but the new gen had this L-14-30 receptacle. So, this value priced connector was easy to replace on the pigtail, and good for my infrequent use throughout the year.
