Highest Quality and Exceptionally Well Made

I’m an older advanced DIYer and just completed the installation of a Dreamline Enigma X sliding shower door in my basement. This is a newly finished basement so I was able to do all the work myself and make sure the shower door opening was plumb and the curb level. I used a Schluter Kerdi system for the pan and curb and used a quartzite 6” x 60” slab for the threshold. I could not be happier with the result! This shower door is exceptionally well made and engineered. Everything fit perfectly and installed as described in the manual, although I relied a lot on the installation video on YouTube. There was a small error in the installation instructions regarding the size of hole to drill for the #12 guide block on the threshold. The instructions assume your titled curb is over a wood base which is only one option for building a curb Other than that, the installation went very well, in part due to the way all the parts were labeled and packaged. It could not have been put together any better! This obviously is a first class operation. My only regret is that my basement shower is now much nicer than the shower in my master bedroom

Bought this last year for an additional bathroom that was added to the home. The shower door is great and looks fantastic. But this is not why I am writing this review.

Great product great looking good value not for a novice DIYer

The installation of the doors requires that the stationary door be put in place and marks placed on wall for hole placement. There are eccentrics on the upper bar mounts to the glass to compensate for slight erregularity in wall and floor square and plumb. No mention or tips in installation instructions of the use of eccentric. The eccentric seems to be symmetrical for about 1/8 inch movement of the top bar in all directions, when only up, down, or outward movement can be used. Missed opportunity in design, I needed about 3/16 of an inch outward movement, had to cut length of upper bar by 1/16 inch even though walls were 48 inches a part due to outward plumb of wall. The bar should never need to be adjusted inside the edge of the stationary door glass. Had to lift stationary door in and out of place three times to mark and drill all mounting hole, this requires two people. Bottom center block calls for 1/8 inch mounting hole this can be near impossible if drilling through porcelain tile or very hard material. I used a 3/16 diamond drill, smallest diamond drill I could find, which caused the third lift of the stationary door as the block has only a 1/8 inch hole through the block. Everybody that has seen or use the shower thinks the doors look and work great. Had professional price installation of frameless custom doors, this product was a bargain, great value. Just need two people to install, some thought beyond the manufacturer's instruction, and some patients. The finished project was well worth the time, mussel, and test of patients. Not for the amateur DIYer.
