Great airing rack- holds a lot. It is difficult to move with a load on without the wings falling down, due to the braces not affixing to anything (the wings just rest on the braces). Just something to be aware of if you need to move racks indoors/outdoor. Also, I bought 2 and one of them was damaged in transit. It was the 2nd one I opened about a week after they arrived so thought it was too late to do anything about it as I didn’t check for damage on delivery. The central tube is dented in two spots. It’s still functional.
It was worth the extra money, it's light and compact and dries out my clothing faster than my old cheaper one due to the air being able to circulate better through the wider-spaced bars. Also, the bars have a nice thick rounded diameter so, my clothes don't dry with a hard crease line. It's perfect for drying out clothing inside my apartment.
Many benefits to air drying freshly washed laundry
Using a clothes drying rack to dry laundry is a great way to dry clothes indoors, directly from the washing machine, to rack, during cold winter months. When the heat is turned up in cold winter months, the air quality indoors becomes very dry... I have a similar cloth's drying rack and love using it so I'm ordering the SONGMICS Clothes Drying rack. Drying clothes on a clothes drying rack naturally, can make any room smell like freshly washed laundry and clothes dry so quickly, so I don't have to use the dryer. Towels and cotton bath mats dry rough and scratchy just like I like 'em, because it helps exfoliate skin while drying off after a shower. It would make a great gift for apartment renters and college students and people who like to save on electric bills.
Very sturdy
I decided to get this after using a similar one on vacation. I find drying my clothes in a dryer makes them look old fairly quickly. For many of my pants and tees, I dry for about 5 minutes to get the wrinkles out and then hang them on this rack to finish drying. This rack can hold a lot of clothes In a. relatively small space> When I just have a few things I unfold one side or one level. It is extremely easy to set up and take down and it is very sturdy. I have been using it for a while now and I am very happy with this purchase.
Best Drying Rack I've Ever Owned
Where has this rack been all my life? I'm amdried to a European and also thrifty. I love the idea of drying my clothes for free and so does my spouse, especially since hot air is free during the summer 😂. Unfortunately, we own quite a bit that can be air dried and every rack we have purchased has broken under the load of our clothing. I was essentially throwing money away having to purchase dinky rack and constantly patching them. I saw the weight capacity on this thing and was a little weary on the price. I also saw and went through the reviews and thought I had nothing to lose. My husband and I are in love with this rack. It is absolutely worth it's weight and gold and can finally hold all our laundry without collapsing or taking up a lot of room. I am sure I will love this even more with the other additional features but so far you are going to have to fight me for this rack if you ever want to take it away from me.
Great design and easy to use
I have two drying racks. This one I use for jeans, socks, under garments and anything that needs to be folded. I absolutely love that I do not have to use clothes pins like I had on my last drying rack. Clothes are not wrinkled and dry efficiently due to the design.I have a family of five. And this can hold a lot. In the summer, late spring and early fall, it is located on my side deck. During the winter, early spring and late fall it is placed inside the house. It is great that I do not have to use the dryer anymore. Considering the price of electricity and propane, this has brought down our electric bill considerably. We never used the AC because of the cost but now we can use it because our bill won't be as high it normally would be especially during a heat wave.
Using More Than Anticipated
Never thought much about getting one of these but after using them in vacation rentals decided to get one for home. After two months, we are using if more than anticipated. It holds a lot of laundry and reduces electricity consumption. This is the second rack we purchased. The first rack came with a dented frame so returned it and replaced. The second rack also came with a dented frame in the same area as the first but was smaller so we decided to keep it. In both instances, there was no noticeable damage to the shipping carton.
If you cloth diaper. Get this one.
Our washer died the monday before the 4th of July. This is a little over a weeks worth of diapers, excluding some (maybe 15) I pulled off to make space because they were dry. The clamp things on one side are amazing for wet bags and pods. It is sturdy enough for another small hanging dryet for wipes. Honestly, I feel like every other dryer has been a waste of money. I have had 2 completely fall apart in a little over two months. One was used the other bought off of Amazon and fell apart as soon as the warranty/retuen window ended.
Holds an entire "supel XL" load of laundry
I have only had the simple wooden racks you can find at the grocery before now, but have been told for years "gullwing" racks are superior. I put this one on my list and let it sit there a bit, but finally got tired of the dryer generating too much heat in our house during the worst parts of summer. It's on its test run now but, of course, how well it dries depends on me at this point. The rack is lightweight but sturdy, well constructed and easy to assemble. It folds VERY flat so is fairly easy to store, doesn't take up much more space than my old rack but holds a LOT more clothing and, unlike the old rack, doesn't try to wobble and collapse if you look at it wrong. The rails are well-spaced. I have not yet braved the sock clips yet as they feel a bit tight but other reviewers seem to like them so I may get braver over time.I have an oversized washer (enough that I forget I can't put a full load in there and have our dryer finish the dry cycle in one run, unless I split the load in two) and this rack fits ALL OF IT with all the racks lifted open. There are no sharp edges to catch clothing on, so delicates should also dry nicely without snagging. And, of course, with the ability to raise and lower each rack section individually, you can customize it to your available space.
High capacity and styled for efficient drying
I shopped forever for this rack for our seasonal home because I loved the one we have at our main home and it was discontinued. I like this one better! It's the same rust proof stainless steel with plastic fittings but the top racks are higher to make room for lower racks that add a surprising amount of capacity. This 'wing' style is the only style of drying rack that I will use. It holds the most laundry while allowing the most airflow between garments for more efficient drying. And I'll only buy stainless steel; who needs rust stains on one's laundry?
Superb!!! Got the silver and blue
I am so happy I found this great clothes drying rack. My dryer went out (after 16 years) and it was so old that replacement parts are just not made for a dryer that old. I was about ready to go and get a new dryer when I found this Songmics drying rack, and what a game changer this rack is. All you have to do is attach the supports, and it will hold a lot of clothes. The top and the bottom racks all adjust, so large bath towels won't hit the floor. I highly recommend this rack.
Game changer
I love this drying rack. I live in a small NYC apt. I'm lucky enough to have a washer and dryer however my dryer is not vented and it takes the clothes forever to dry. I decided to hang the wet clothes and had a small cheap clothes hanger. I researched on line for something bigger but still light weight and easy to open and close to store. This dryer fit the bill. Very light weight but sturdy. It fits a lot of clothes but still folds up small enough to fit in my closet. I'm 62 and I wish I figured this out years ago. Great item for the price!
Amazing
Ok I'll be honest haven't even used it yet… but boy was I amazed when I opened the box and took this thing out. Very well thought out design and you just know it will be about the best hanging clothes dryer you will find. It's very large and folds away soooo easy. I'm VERY glad I bought this! Due to a move I will now be needing to use a Laundromat and I am highly sensitive to the fabric softeners and dryer sheets. I will need to wash twice each lid and then air dry. Can't use public dryer as I'll pick up synthetic scents and get sick when I wear my clothes. So that's unfortunate for me but this product will make my life so much easier when it comes to air drying my clothes.
Good clothes drying rack!
I set it up to check it out, but have not yet loaded it with wet clothing. It seems quite sturdy and looks like it will hold quite a bit of laundry (more than I would have thought from the photos). The supports and rack systems are very simple, yet seem to be sturdy. Once the supports were attached, It still folded up easily and compactly for storage, which I thought was an important feature - no need to assemble it each time. Overall, it appears to be a winner.
Very sturdy, stable, holds a lot of clothes
I was hesitant to spend this much on a drying rack, but this one is well worth it! Sturdy metal construction and very stable. Quick, easy set up. Holds about three times the amount of clothes than my traditional drying rack. I own a lot of exercise clothes, and this holds an entire week of daily workout clothes. Folds up and leans against the wall out of the way in my laundry room. Highly recommended!
Crazy amount of drying space!
This is crazy! I did 2 loads of laundry, and with the exception of a couple of shirts on hangers, EVERYTHING is drying on this rack! Socks, sweaters, underwear, even a pair of slippers on the lower level. Plus this thing folds up flat and easily tucks into my laundry room. I've been wanting to live a little greener, and without a clothesline, this is just the ticket. It's worth every penny. Every. Penny.
Happily Surprised!
If I had 1 product from 2022 that really stood out for me, it was this drying rack.I’ve had this now for 6+ months and I just love it.The price I paid for it was much more than I ever wanted to spend on a drying rack, and yet the value is there. It’s lightweight yet sturdy, and I can get about 2 loads of laundry on it. The laundry actually dries a lot faster than I expected even when I can’t put it outside to use the wind (I live in an apartment). I can set it up with ease and take it down with ease.I bought it so that I could save on electricity costs thinking that although I could save money by line drying, it would really suck to have to hang my laundry to dry each time instead of using the convenience of an electric dryer . It turns out that I find hanging my laundry and bypassing grid dependence for dry laundry a somewhat meditative and truly satisfying experience (no joke!).The customer service is very responsive too. They sincerely want you to have a great experience with their product.I can’t say enough good things about this product and I normally don’t rave or write reviews about seemingly mundane household products. This rack is a gamechanger in my household, highly recommend.
Yeah, get it. Big and strong!
My old drying rack was flimsy and broke every time I used it. This is bigger, stronger, easier to use, and takes up no more space when folded. Simple to fold and unfold. Sturdy-- your clothing will not topple this stand, no matter what you put on it. Best rack I've seen. Portable. I keep it folded in my closet when not in use. Easy to carry. It's well designed and holds a lot of stuff. I can pretty much fit two weeks of my laundry on this rack.
Best For The Buck
I love this rack. It was easy to assemble ( the hubby did it), it's easy to use, folds up nicely, great price. It is so sturdy everything is very well built. I was amazed at the quality of this drying rack. I will be using it I am sure for years to come. A friend has a similar one which is why I started looking for this type, after seeing mine she is ordering one for herself and her daughter. i plan on ordering one for my grand daughter. Amazing rack. Best for the buck for sure. You can't go wrong with this rack. Fast shipping, quality packaging, no damage when it arrived. Fantastic purchase in everyway.
If you air dry laundry, YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE!
This drying rack is exactly what I didn't know I needed!I recently moved to a place that only has a combo washer/dryer as a laundry option (side note, never buy one just go for a full size washer instead). As the dry cycle takes 4 hours for a mostly-but-not-quite-dry tiny load of laundry I needed a better option than the ol' wooden $5 tri-fold I had from college.Enter this blessing from the gods!I can dry a king sized fitted sheet on the top racks, and an entire load of workout clothes on the bottom racks at the same time. And everything will actually get dry. We have a 65 lbs pup, and she can't accidentally knock it over with her body. It folds up super easy and fits in the closet. It showed up without dents or damage and was easy to put together. You need this in your life.
