I bought to use in my bedroom when the house AC was not working

Extremely loud noise

It cools OK, not great, but ok. Recently has started making noise and I can't figure out the cause. I drained it, cleaned the filters, waited several hours before turning it back on and it still makes the noise. It was quiet before, now it is so loud I can't sleep.

No light on remote screen

Just wish the remote was back lit, must use flashlight during the night to see what the settings are on.

i got this and a few weeks later it stoped blowing cold air. i’ve cleaned it as user manual says.

No cool mode!

It worked for the first week or so but now the cool mode will not come on. The illuminating light under the label cool is either sckipped or not lit

Poor product

Worked great for 2 summers. Stored covered to prevent dust collect and damage. Paid to much money for a few months of use.

Dont buy!@

Worked for one season, then the following year the cool mode wasn't available, the light doesn't even show up, tried everything we could think of, short of hiring someone, and unfortunately we missed the warranty deadline by a few days,

Good product when it works

When the product worked it was great. The Autoswing door is a nice feature. But after 14 months. With only 2 -3 months of actual usage it does not produce cold air...

Just out of the 1 year warranty and of course it starts to have issues with no one in the area that wants to look at it. Problems with Control board and freeze up.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON!

This unit didn’t even last a summer before throwing out an error code that we cannot even check out because this unit is impossible to open the back of.

It didn’t last one season

I got this for my mom and I’m sad to say that it didn’t last the season and when she called they gave her the runaround.

A Lifesaver!!!

We bought this during a record heatwave of more than two weeks of triple digit weather. Our central A/C went down and no repairman could come out for a few days. We live upstairs and couldn't stand to be in any room other than the one this was in. It kept us comfortably cool in that room and allowed us to sleep at night. The unit is a bit on the noisy side but it does provide very cold air and we really liked the swing feature which helped circulate the air better.

Good portable A/C

The exhaust hose screws to the exhaust nozzle, when stretched the hose will pull away from the nozzle, In my opinion, that is a very poor design, it would help if the exhaust hose was much longer. Some type of drain hose should be in the packaging. The fan has a good strong blow and the air is cold. The remote control has several great features, the swing operates the opening and closing of the vent which can be stopped in several positions, the timer is a great feature it can be set to turn the unit on or off from 1-24 hours, the unit is very simple to operate. The unit is on wheels and rolls great. Overall it is a pretty good unit.

Not as advertised on box

I bought this unit because of the dual hose capabilities with the purchase of a hose kit. I went on GE website to order this kit to find out it is not available and GE could not give you any schedule on when it might become available. If you are looking for a dual hose system do not buy this unit. Other than that it is a nice looking unit that dose work as advertised. I guess I will just have to wait and see if GE comes up the dual hose kit.

Wow! GE puts me in the chill zone. Thank You soooooooo much! I have not experienced cool air like this before in my life. Having a GE 3 N 1 PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONER is by far better than any HVAC or any home air conditioning that I have experienced.Thank You over and over again.
