Great Grill With One Exception

PROS - The best thing about it, besides being non toxic, is how easy the grills are to clean. Oil and grime slide right off with a blast of hot water. The size is perfect too - compact with a good amount of room for a variety of foods. The grill heats up evenly and consistently. I have cooked hamburgers and chicken but haven’t noticed it producing too much smoke. CONS - I don’t like that you have to set the timer and the grill will only stay on for that amount of time. If you don’t adjust it before the timer runs out, too bad - it completely shuts off. The only way to turn it back on is to unplug it and start all over again. To get around this I set it for an entire hour (the max amount of time allowed) and then shut it off when I’m done cooking. It’s not an dealbreaker for me - just annoying: Overall I am pleased with the grill and highly recommend it.

Awesome grill

I bought this shortly after Christmas, and we use it nearly every day. Steaks, Panini sandwiches, quesadillas, brats, hamburgers, hashbrowns, omelets — all done to perfection! And cleanup continues to be a breeze. We highly recommend this grill!

Better of with an iron skiller over a camp fire.

This is definitely not worth the price. Within a few times of use, the grill no longer opens flat and I have to use a pair of tongs to get it flat without burning my fingers. It also spills grease all over my counter. The design is horrible for catching grease. Makes things messier and more difficult, not easier. I have to put it on a baking sheet to catch any grease from burgers or steaks or bacon. I unplugged it so I could move it to clean all the grease off my counter. When I plugged it back in, it now only shows Celsius and no matter what I do I can't get it to shoe Fahrenheit. Trying to find the user manual online is an exercise in futility. This is far from worth the price. I wouldn't even want it for free.

[Rewarded Review] Effective Countertop Grill

I was looking for a countertop grill & griddle that is easy to use and not too bulky. I am impressed with GreenPan Bistro Contact Grill & Griddle. The grill is durable and well made. Not heavy in weight and can be easily stored away when not in use. There are different temperature and time settings that you can select. Easy to use settings. You can either choose to cook on 1 plate or both the plates simultaneously. We have used it for grilling number of times, and it grills really well and the flavour of the food comes out delish too. I like that the grill plate has ceramic nonstick coating and is free of harmful chemicals. We love using it in our kitchen.

I can usually figure these things out either intuitive or trial and error, but I have not achieved the understanding to use the independent function.

Cooking surface is not 24"

Misleading information. The cooking surface is actually 10×20. Can only cook a half a package of bacon at a time. Drip tray is also very small. This griddle is not ideal for cooking a big breakfast meal. Aside from the size, the cooking surface is great. Definitely nonstick. It's easy to clean and very lightweight

Cooking surface is not 24"

This griddle is very small. The websites description is misleading. The cooking surface is only 10x20. My old griddle was big enough to cook an entire package of bacon. With this griddle, I was only able to fit half the package. The drip tray is small. Be sure to empty it when cooking the last half of your bacon. It overflowed and grease poured all over my counter and cabinets. The only thing I like about this griddle is the non stick cooking surface and it seems to cook evenly. Cleans nicely and is very lightweight

[Rewarded Review] Drip Pan Track Was Very Tight

The griddle worked well for company but I have not taken it back out for my family of two adults and two toddlers. I was able to make a lot of pancakes and sausage at once and could join my extended family quicker for brunch than using a traditional skillet. I liked that the plates were easy to interchange. While it was still hot, I was able to press the release buttons and flip the plate over to start cooking sausage. My one complaint is about the drip pan. It fits so snugly into the track that it was very difficult to pull it out to dump the grease in a jar. It sloshed around and took longer to clean up.

This is by far one of the best griddles I have used. It is big enough to cook breakfast for our family of five (breakfast is mainly what we use the griddle for). the non stick surface is really good. The griddle does heat up pretty fast and the handles stay cool to the touch while cooking. Clean up is easy with the non stick surface.

I got this when our regular griddle died, which we used almost daily. I wasn’t sure what to think of this because it is such a different design but I absolutely love it! I’ve used it for paninis, pancakes, eggs, bacon, you name it! My favorite part of all of it, besides the versatility, is that the griddle pieces pop off easily and will fit in the dishwasher! They are really nonstick as it is, but it is so much easier to clean in the dishwasher. I did have one time in where the bottom griddle/burner shut off on me during paninis but I think the griddle wasn’t fully latched into the brackets. I adjusted it and it worked fine afterwards. I haven’t had issues with that since.

I live in a small space and needed something that I could heat up food, grill, griddle and toast, since a kitchen is really non-existent in my space. This thing does all of the above and folds so I can store it nicely! I loved that I have the option to make pancakes or grill a hamburger all in one easy to use appliance. It is easy to clean and easy to use. I wish I would have found this sooner because this has been a lifesaver!

I am using this griddle every chance that I get. I love it. Its so practical and it saves me all the mess from different pans. Its super easy to clean as well and to use. I definitely recommend it, it has made breakfast way easier to make for my 3 kids.

If your like me and are limited on space and or already have too many gadgets and are thinking why do I need more…well you need this. Unlike a traditional flat top griddle this folds in half to become a press or grill. The grates can be changed to either be flat or used for grilling. I love that it folds up so I don’t have to store a full flat griddle. The traditional ones are too long to fit in my cabinets so this is perfect for me. I just fold it to store. The temperature knob makes setting it a breeze and the front panel is easy to understand and use and the numbers large enough for anyone to read. The grates are very simple to take on and off and wash up beautifully without having to scrub anything off it just rinses away. The non stock coating really makes it a breeze. We are a family of 7 and this was big enough for breakfast and dinner for us
