So-so spa.
We have had this spa for two years. When the pump works it’s a great spa. Temperature stays at 104, problem is we are on the 2nd pump, needing to purchase a 3rd. The heating element is constantly blowing black chunks into the spa. Now the heater is tripping the gfi. The filter and bubbles work fine. I would imagine that the company needs to find a better pump design.
Doesn’t last long !
Motor out in less than 2 years ! Also tried to get a replacement panel i used it for 2 minutes so they won’t refund ! But on the invoice it states 30’day refund policy ! When I call Intex they tell me that’s for retail stores! I’m emptying my spa and putting away !
bad business and faulty parts!
do not buy! i bought this model off amazon a year ago and used it 5 times total! just filled it up for the spring turn it on and got the e90 error reading. and its a problem intex knew all about and never fixed it! and my warranty was up by one week and they told me there was nothing they could do! except sell me another one! knowing this is a fault on there equipment ! bad business stay away! now i have a hottub i cant even use because i cant find a base for it
Caution with Intex Spa Accoutrements!
We've had difficulty using the Intex seats, headrests, and cupholders... they punctured the spa in two places with minimal use. I wouldn't recommend them. The warranty was also up, so the punctures were not covered.
Cover Instructions Support
Good luck with the "new" cover. It's like putting a baby sock on an adult foot. You need HELP!!!! Just bought mine and the pump area is leaking. Instructions are horrible. Can't find the model on the web. Mine is square, not round. 2nd Intex spa in 3 years. Hoping this one doesn't go through pumps like the last, providing I can get the leak fixed.
Needs more attention than an infant
We have spent about 2 1/2 total hours in this spa since setting up in early February. I have spent somewhere between 8-10 hours dealing with all of its problems and nearly $250 on chemicals and new filters in an attempt to keep it clean. I have had to empty it entirely twice and now we are getting an E90 error code. I am done. This thing is such a pain in the ass. We even had to replace the ridiculously complicated cover because ours filled up with water and it destroyed the interior. The cover is so difficult to remove and put back on, it makes putting necessary chemicals in very cumbersome. I honestly hate this thing. It has been miserable since day one.
Horrible product and service
Ordered one of these last year and it ended up starting to lose air after a few months, right before our warranty was going to end. Intex sent another tub a couple months ago, and we did not get a chance to set it up until last weekend. The tub would not even hold air through the first night. called the service center and they said my warranty was up and would not assist. The bladder for the cover ended up, expanding and raising the cover away from the tub. We got sent a new cover, but never knew that that would not include the bladder for the cover. Again, they say our warranty was up and we only had less than two weeks from delivery to let them know of an issue. Horrible service and recommend you find some other product.
I love Jacuzzis. I hate having to buy an Intex Purespa every year, but my muscles need the very hot water on demand when I'm hurting. These Intex spas irritate me so bad. Why do they make them knowing there is a part in the pump that will break. It will break! If your lucky, you will get a year and a half out of your spa. If you store your spa....be careful not to lose any of the O rings. You can only buy the O rings at Intex and it might take months to get it. I will be on my 4th Purespa and I'm hoping I get a year and a half. I bought the steps, but you don't need them. It's easier to just step into the spa. I always dread hearing a beap of E90. Definitely keep spa clean.
Great spa by performance and quality
Our Intex Pure Spa Greywood Deluxe 6 person spa is everything that we expected and more. It is easy to set up. The spa electronics run smoothly and keep the spa right at the temperature we set it at. We have had solid wall spas with jet nozzles. The Intex has a bubble system that is not comparable to jets, but the bubble feature has a strong flow and suits us just fine. Since our spa is outdoors, the cover does collect rain water around the outer part. We bought an inexpensive syphon with a battery, and this allows us to pump off the water. Although it is billed as a 6 person spa, we think it is really more of a 4 or 5 person spa depending on the size of the people. Overall, we like the spa and hope that it lasts for several years.
Lasts Just a Year
I really enjoyed it...while it lasted. It was affordable, easy to set up, and although not as nice as a real hot tub, it was only a quarter of the price. However, it's been just over a year and the hot tub will no longer stay inflated. We've checked everywhere for leaks with soapy water, tightened the air valve, etc etc, and there is nothing obvious as to why this should keep deflating. I am not sure if it's a flaw in the tub or what, but I am very disappointed, especially since this happened right after the warranty period. We either have to buy a whole new tub or just throw out, after using for just one year. Unfortunately I wanted to like it, but it is not a long term solution.
Nice hot tub but not without issues
This is the 3rd Intex hot tub we have had and this one has some improvements over the others, but also some issues. The main issue is the new "Energy Saving" cover. It is not pictured here on the website but is the one that came with ours. The old one (pictured) was easy for one person to put on or off. The new one takes 2 people and is such a pain. I can tell you that in the future I will never buy a spa with that cover. The wireless control panel is nice, as is the mobile app which I can use to control the tub remotely. Were it not for the horrible cover, I'd say 5 stars.
Good Spa as a spa. Advanced features worthless
Great spa except for 2 annoying functions/features.
Product is as advertised and some of the complaints are legit. Set up was super easy and super fast. Heating up the pool took a couple of days but that was partly my fault for not paying attention to the temperature as it dropped to below freezing during the night. Managed to get the temperature to 104F (40C) and enjoyed a night where the temp dipped to 43F(6C). I noticed that the water temp would drop about 1F every 15-20 minutes, which I didn't think was unreasonable considering the air temperature. The only problem I am discovering right now is a slow air leak in which I have to top up the air every couple of days. There is an apparent fix for that but I will need to drain the tub so I will wait it out and do it during warmer days where it will heat up faster. Besides that, the tub is very spacious inside. I am 6' tall and when I sit the water is up to my shoulders and with my legs stretched out I don't touch the other side. It is not a 6 man tub, unless you are a very close 6 person group. Strongly recommend this tub if you want the hot tub experience without the hot tub expense.
The hot tub is great. We love it and it was easy to set up. The light that comes with it was defective though and never did work. We bought this at Christmas time as a family gift and when we went to set it up in the spring, discovered the light was defective. Because we were outside of the 30 days, Wayfair refused to help us.
Don't buy this and especially don't purchase it from Wayfair. My hottub arrived in an extremely damaged box. Upon opening, it was not damaged but the top cover had broken buckles. I contacted the company prior to purchase to confirm the cord length was 25 feet - it's maybe 5 feet. After setup, it took over 4 days to heat up. Now, it takes 12 hours to increase 1-2 degrees. I've contacted Wayfair several times and was told to contact the company directly. I contacted the company and was told to contact Wayfair. No one is helping and they continue to give me the run around. The only suggestion from Wayfair was to return - as if returning a hot tub is a similar task.....
YIKES!!! NICE TUB, IF YOU'VE GOT THE BUCKS!
For the price-point of $800.00, I'm happy with my tub. It takes a long time to heat-up to 104 degrees. If I let the temperature go down to 98, I'll need 5-hours to get it up to 104. The jets are sub-standard and it's a poor design. Instead of 4 - 6 main jets, they chose to have bubbles emanatearound the tub from little holes; not jets. They feel like guppies nibbling at your bottom. Good buy for the price, but they obviously haven't done any customer satisfaction surveys. I'd return it, but it's just too much HASSLE.
Great! Excellent product!
Love it! Wish I knew how inexpensive they were back then. My only advise how many you want in the spa add 2 and you all should fit. I got a six, and I can tell you we would fit but would not want to. 3-4 is pretty comfortable for a 6 person. Great spa looked on utube for set up and chemicals blew up in 10 minutes if that long was ‘super fast. Set up ready was about 40 mins since we were /new. You can do it in 25. Says let sit with air for 1 day before water. Since /was not hot in shade and at night we just skipped that part. Works great love the light feature. Took a minute to realize where it went and both filters on bottom. Seems weird light goes over heat whole. And we had battery case close wrong way so it doesn’t come on just switch upside down when batteries go in case. or make sure batteries go right way which was easy to tell. Heats to 104 easy stays about 102 after 2 hrs. With heater on three hours went to 99. Both okay. Great nights with margaritas. Have not gone a day without using since buying it. Please google chemicals. And change filters daily not kidding buy s1 filters very important Walmart or Amazon. I buy 12 packs at a time. Enjoy we do. Might fit better if square or rectangular, will try next time. But seriously love this price was 850 but came with lights, seats and headrest. Love the lights and different color option.
Our first time using this hot tub and we loved it. The 172 jets were perfect and with having the jets on for 30mins which is automatically timed our water only went down 2 degrees. The instructions were fine but you can always google youtube for help and set up didnt take long.Once you use the chemicals which are not included you should have no water issues. The chemicals needed are for the Ph, shock, bromine tablets. It took only a day to heat up and we find that 95 degrees is perfect for us living in the maritimes. Its quite roomy for my husband and I to stretch out and relax. The cord is not as long as I had read in some of the questions asked....it was actually 25 ft so make sure you have a plug in near. When it arrived it was packaged very well so no issues there. With not being able to travel because of covid this gave me what I needed to fill in my travel blues lol. If your thinking about an inflatable hot tub....dont hesitate. I am so glad we purchased it and I highly reccommend getting one. I checked around and Wayfair had the best price going on this unit. :-)
Probably the best addition to the our backyard! I was considering giving it 4 stars because the app can be a little spotty and the whole spa water treatment is a learning curve and not so straightforward to understand. I wish they could offer more guidance as to what can or cannot be used with inflatable hot tubs, so you’ll have to do a lot of homework on that - but the product is great! The tub is so Sturdy and anyone can sit on the edge. The material and parts look very durable. For the price, this is an amazing buy!
Not a replacement for a real spa
They were not able to ship the 6-person spa to California due to energy requirements. (Spas shipped to California must have an energy efficient cover and they don't make one for the 6-person spa.). With my permission, they shipped the 4-person version in place of it. After all of the positive reviews, I really wanted to like it, but the spa was a disappointment. After 24 hours of heating, the spa was only up to 100. When I got in and turned on the bubbles, it was very noisy and splattered water everywhere. The bubbles also lowered the temperature of the water. The bubbles are just that-bubbles-with little to no therapeutic quality. Additionally, the 4-person spa only fits 2 to 3 adults comfortably. I am not sure how four could get in. A nice idea, but not worth the price.
