It works. I have had this for a couple of years, off and on use until it recently became my main coffee maker. It leaks when pouring the coffee, no matter what I do it leaks. It looks nice and serves its purpose but I’d buy something better quality next time
Your AM Coffee in a Ritual
I am obsessed with this stovetop moka pot. It’s easy to use. I fill the top with hot water, add ground espresso to filter basket, screw top back on, heat gently on low stovetop and voila! Coffee brewing becomes a ritual and the coffee is great! I also love the cute milk foamer.
9 Espresso Cups, a Nice Start
9 espresso cups of stovetop espresso. Very easy to use. Very easy to clean up. Great quality feel, fit and finish is excellent. I love the coffee this moka pot makes. I have several GROSCHE moka pots in different sizes. Love the quality.
Almost a bottomless quantity
Feels like a premium quality moka pot. I have other GROSCHE moka pots in different sizes and this feels every bit as nice as each of the others. I love the coffee these moka pots make. The fit and finish is excellent. Makes enough for a crowd or for one person from sun up to noon.
Tiny sipper
A nice size for when you want just a bit. Solid feel with a bit of heft for its diminutive size. Weight of the base prevents it from toppling over. Excellent fit and finish, looks and feels like a quality product. Yet to be dissatisfied with any GROSCHE moka pot.
Good Little Pot.
I went back and forth on this or a Bialetti. Liked the price of this 3 cup moka pot and loved the look of the wood handle and the white color. The pot did arrive with some mars on the white finish and the Grosche box, which was inside a mailer envelope, was somewhat dented in and damaged. Debated on whether to exchange it but couldn't wait to try it out!! Thought the espresso came out really nice. It is a bit more of a hassle than using my Nespresso machine but I think I like this better since I can make a larger cup that would take 2-3 pods to accomplish. Also will miss the crema that occurs from certain types of the machine/espresso pods. Overall am pleased with this purchase.
Cute, functional, and humanitarian
Yes, I said this is a "humanitarian" Moka Pot. Each purchase helps to provide people in need with access to clean, drinkable water. I didn't even know that until after I purchased it and the look of this thing (in white) is a bonus. Easy to use, easy to clean, and I highly recommend it.
It's the perfect companion for my morning routine, delivering a strong and aromatic espresso every time. The compact design and durable materials make it a reliable addition to my kitchen, ensuring a delightful coffee experience. The hear distribution is good and cleaning is really easy.
Delicous AND pretty!
I got this because it’s what my grandma always uses. Even after all these years (grandma is 97) this is still the best way ever to consume espresso. It comes in all beautiful colors. It is super easy to use for coffee and even easier to clean. The espresso taste delicious and not burnt or too light. It’s perfect. I also used regular coffee beans as well as an experiment and it is equally as delicious. This is great for espresso shots, cappuccino, lattes, and so much more. I even make it, let it cool, put it in the fridge, and then enjoy delectable iced espresso. You won’t be disappointed.
Coffee house flavor at home
'm glad I found this brand. I initially looked at the Bialetti Moka Pot brand, which sells for more than double this one for an identical item.
great flavor and easy to use
The first time I tried cuban coffee/espresso, I was immediately hooked. I was never able to recreate that flavor. A friend recommended that I try a moka pot so I picked this up. It's super easy to use. Just load up the reservoir with water and the removable holder with coffee and place the whole thing on the burner until you start to hear bubbling sound. The best part is the easy cleanup and no need to purchase paper filters. You can alter the strength by just not putting too many grinds. This is perfect for one or two people. You may want to get the larger size for more people. Overall, a very good moka pot that makes a very strong coffee.
Great value
I would recommend this well made Grosche 6-cup Moka Pot to anyone who likes robust coffee. Before buying this pot I watched countless good & bad YouTube videos, on how to brew with this stovetop coffee maker. The more you understand how a Moka Pot works and that high heat and over extended brewing time is the enemy, you'll do just fine. There's definitely a learning curve to using any Moka Pot regardless of the brand you purchase but don't let that discourage you from discovering how to make a really good cuppa coffee. This 3-cup pot makes approximately 3 to 4 ounces of strong brewed coffee that can be enjoyed on its own or added to hot water, or prepared as a cappuccino with milk.
Beautiful looking espresso maker.
The main reason I got this is for its looks and also that it makes good espresso on stove top. Its bold, red, and draws the viewers attention. I have a coffee station in my kitchen and this looks beautiful. I love the red color in combination with the wooden handle. The pot is made of metal and feels very durable. The craftsmanship of this espresso maker is of great quality. People always ask me where I got it. This can make 4-6 cups of espresso on a stove top or on camping stove. I love the fact that this does not need any pre packaged plastic cups or electricity to make espresso. I took it for camping trip and worked perfectly. The quality of espresso is not as great as machine made espresso but it makes a decent quality espresso considering the price and portability. The top part and the handle does get a little hot. However, the handle is farther from the pot so it is better than many other similar espresso makers. Overall pretty happy with my purhcase.
Best Cafe Cubana in Vermont!
My teenage daughter works for a woman who was born in Cuba tending her garden and other lawn care things. She taught my daughter how to make espresso and Cuban coffee and now we can make it at our house. Cafe Cubana has DOUBLE the jolt (and some sugar) of most American coffee. Of course, you can make lattes and all sorts of coffee drinks with this. This espresso/moka pot is a very pretty - simple design but a handle with a burn guard made to help you not get burned. The black with white lettering gives it a modern look. It is a food grade aluminum and the coffee tastes good. This has an Italian made safety valve. I’m very happy with it and would recommend it - great price at Target!
Looks beautiful and truly functional
This Grosche milano stovetop espresso maker astounds me in quality, aesthetic, and functionality. I got the 6 cup version and while the actual maker looks tiny, it is indeed meant to make a couple shots of espresso. It usually takes about 8-10 minutes on medium heat before I feel like my espresso is good to go. The wooden parts were designed as such to prevent accidental burns. The only thing is some minor spillage when pouring but this can be easily remedied by pushing on the wooden top. Clean up is very quick; a simple was is all it takes and ready again for the next day’s brewing.
Quality Espresso Maker Fast & Easy!
Grosch stovetop espresso maker is amazing! It is so much faster than an electric espresso maker which surprised me. I like that it is small and compact for storage. 5 fl oz is perfect size for espresso shots or americano coffee. Cleans up in seconds. I use on a gas stove; the smallest burner and it makes my shot of espresso while I get the rest of breakfast ready. Only takes 1-2 min. Fill with 2-3 TBL fine ground coffee, so inexpensive to use. It is going to save me time and money! Delivery said 10 days, but I received my package in only 3 – Love my little espresso maker!!
Finally! Hot Latte’s !!!
My $300 electric espresso machine became clogged with mineral build up and descaling it didn’t resolve the steam frother issues. Living in a hard water area, I decided to go to a more traditional device that won’t clog over time, so I bought the six shot size. After watching a few tutorials videos I’m really enjoying great results. It’s actually quite simple to use. We always disliked the Luke warm Latte’s the electric machine made .....this makes wonderfully Hot espressos for more leisurely drinking. I also bought a electric milk frother ( CaffItaly) through linen chest and it’s awesome...way better that the steam wand on my old big machine. The combined price of the pot and frother in total is well under a mid grade espresso machine. Not as quick perhaps as other methods and you have to stand by while making a brew. However I really enjoy this more “hands on” process of making espresso and Latte’s and consider it as part of my coffee break. The Hot Latte’s are so worth it !
Love the Old School Feel
I've been meaning to get an espresso/coffee maker (for when we go camping) but really was not trying to get a big contraption-glad to have run into this little gem. It is fairly easy to put together. I watched a youtube how-to video and was able to follow very easily. I like the sturdiness of design and I do recommend you handle this with a pot holder or a dish rag because it will get hot. I experimented a bit with different grinds of coffee and I found the one that works for me. Key is to use it from low to med heat. I love hearing the hissing sound letting me know coffee is done. The best part is that the handle does NOT get hot. I always let the freshly brewed coffee sit for at least 5 minutes. With the pot holder, I slightly untwist the bottom so it can cool down- the coffee grounds stay compressed in the funnel part so they are easy to dump out and clean. Love that I can just wash this in a dish pan with light soapy water, dry it off and get it ready for the next batch. A very big plus is that it is small enough to put in a cabinet without cords and cables. There are 3 parts to this. Coffee tastes great and it gives me that morning or afternoon boost that I need. I grew up drinking stronger coffee and this is what I get from this espresso maker. I got the 6 cup version so it does what I need it to do.
Excellent quality moka pot - I highly recommend it
Let me start by saying my husband and I are huge fans of moka pots and literally never use our traditional coffee pot anymore. We got one on a whim several months ago and liked it so much, we decided to get a second one so my husband can make us each a cup at the same time, since we prefer different brands and flavors.
Just Delightful. And You CAN Make Induction Work!
I had originally purchased this for my induction oven thinking that induction and electric or the same. I originally almost returned to the pot but went scouring online to see if there's a way to get it to work on my induction oven. If you put it on top of the cast iron pan on your induction stovetop it still works perfectly! I was very excited I figured out a way to make it work! It was actually a very simple fix.
