Beautiful and easy to assemble

Because of some delivery delays, I ended up assembling five items from various sources in one weekend. This bench was the last project I tackled, and it was a delightful surprise. All the screw holes lined up, all hardware was present, everything fit together, and the instructions were simple and clear. I used only the supplied allen wrench in the assembly. My skill level isn't high - I can put up curtain rods and replace a light fixture, but I don't do carpentry or mechanics. I didn't have a moment of frustration with this assembly (unlike the Gorilla Cart that I also assembled that weekend).

Right up front, some assembly is required. Probably best to assemble near where you want it placed since with its strength (and it is solid) comes weight. The directions are remarkably simple but adequate for putting the right bolts in the right holes. This unit is attractive at the top of a hill in our back yard overlooking a stream and forest land beyond. Quite idyllic. Did I mention that it is solid? Make sure that you have the legs on stable ground and not tipping to one corner. You will love the results of your work!

Highly recommend, solid, really well made. I was hesitate to purchase this type of building material as I like real wood, but needed something durable to withstand Florida rains and garden sprinklers. Looks more like wood than competitors, and the design is similar to my teak wood bench with arm shape and slat cut with detail, not just a squared off chunky block, as I saw in competitors. Natural looking sage green color looks beautiful in garden. Really sturdy with both of us sitting (400 lbs) & roomy.

Fabulous Bench !

Ordered this bench for our front porch area. Easy to put together. Hayneedle shipped right away- actually had it 2 weeks earlier than expected ! The Polywood is a bit more expensive, but well worth it in the long term. The bench is comfortable, very attractive and we are 100% happy with this purchase ! Oh- LOVE Hayneedle as well !

Purchased this at the beginning of the season on Cape Cod for our association Beach. One picture shows the bench fully assembled. The bench is well contoured and very comfortable. The other picture shows the bench in place and was well used and enjoyed by all. After one season of use in the searing hot sun and quite a bit of use it maintained its look, no fading, and remained solid with no issues. Heavy enough that even the strong winds from the lake can not move it. Highly recommended.

Absolutely love this. Looks like very high quality. Extremely sturdy. About 1/3 of the price as you'd pay for teak. I think it's a great piece, a wonderful option. We were at a high end resort over the weekend and they had this very brand as their outdoor furniture - so we aren't the only ones who realized this was the way to go for value in high end looking pieces. Super happy!

Love the bench. It sits on our porch and withstands weather—heat and rain. It delivered exactly when our order confirmation stated it would. My husband put it together quickly. Clean, classy looking and very sturdy! It will hold our big, athletic son-in-law besides other family members. It will be interesting to see how it holds up to time, but it looks like the bench will be with us for a long time. Very pleased with this purchase.

After purchasing the Oliver and James rockers I just had to have the matching 4 foot bench. Bought it in the Nantucket Blue which just pops in the garden. Its a lovely blue. The bench was super easy to assemble. Literally 15 minutes to put together. Its sturdy and very comfortable. The material looks and feels like wood without the upkeep and I am sure it will hold up beautifully in all types of weather. Another homerun item made in the USA !

Way better than wood

We have found the Highwood furniture extremely durable. We purchased this to match two chairs we bought several years ago to enlarge our seating area. You have to look hard to see which is older. We leave them out all winter with no cover, no problem. Sometimes it's tricky lining up the threads of the bolts but when you do it's a sound sturdy fit. Thumbs way up!

Completely satisfied with recent purchase!

This bench was purchased for my church as a memorial to past parishioners. The package arrived well ahead of the date predicted. Putting the bench together was a bit of a job, but the directions were very clear and all the parts were there! We are totally happy with the color, style and quality of the product. It looks great where it is placed, and we expect to enjoy the bench for many years to come.

Good looking and very durable

This is the second set of Highwood Lehigh furniture that I have purchased. The first set was perfect and made the second purchase a no brainer. The furniture looks like real wood and is very sturdy and will hold up to the Indiana winters for years.
